Check out Rams rookie WRs' $13k dinner tab with Davante Adams, Puka Nacua
Every year, NFL players have a "rookie dinner" where veterans of the team rack up exorbitant bills at restaurants and ask their newest teammates to cover the cost as a rite of passage. It's a controversial moment, but typically made in good fun and used as a bonding moment for the team. Los Angeles Rams wide receivers had their rookie dinner recently, and veteran wideout Davante Adams posted a video on his Instagram story documenting the moment the rookies found out how much the bill would be: $15,022.21, including tax. Seventh-round rookie Konata Mumpfield joked that, "We'll be splitting this." 'Welcome to the league, my boys," Adams said. Here's how the whole bill looked: Unsurprisingly, the biggest items were alcohol. Two bottles of BTL Chateau Mouton Rothschild Bordeaux cost $3,120, 13 shots of Don Julio 1942 cost $1,274 and 10 shots of Hakushu 18 whiskey cost $1,980. It's unclear how the bill was actually split, though.

Rams injuries: Konata Mumpfield, others exit win vs. Cowboys early
As is the case with most games in the NFL, a few players came out of the Los Angeles Rams' win over the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday a bit banged up. Most notably, rookie wide receiver Konata Mumpfield suffered an ankle injury and was unable to return. Running back Ronnie Rivers injured his ribs after just a couple of plays and only two carries, quickly being ruled out by the Rams in the fourth quarter. Rookie tight end Anthony Torres also injured his ankle and was ruled out in the fourth quarter. Sean McVay didn't provide any updates on those three players after the Rams' 31-21 win, but their statuses will be worth monitoring once the team returns to practice on Monday. Mumpfield is a rising rookie who may not have had his best on Saturday, but he's shown flashes in practice that make him someone to watch. The fact that he was initially listed as questionable to return is a good sign, whereas Rivers and Torres were ruled out rather quickly. Pitt Panthers Wideout Konata Mumpfield Selected In Seventh Round Of NFL Draft
Wide receiver Konata Mumpfield was the third of three Pittsburgh Panthers players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Los Angeles Rams picked Mumpfield with the 26th selection of the 7th Round, the final round of the draft's final day. He was pick number 242 overall. Mumpfield was the third among Panthers teammates OT Branson Taylor and TE Gavin Bartholomew to be drafted. Advertisement Here is part of Mumpfield's draft profile from Athlon Sports: After transferring from Akron in 2022, Mumpfield led Pitt in receptions in two of the last three seasons. In those three years, he had 154 catches for 1,940 yards and 11 touchdowns. His 52 receptions for 813 yards yards last season led the Panthers in both categories. At 5'11'' and 186-Lbs. with just average speed, Mumpfield doesn't have measurables that jump off the charts. However, he's a good route runner with reliable hands that has the short-area quickness to get separation. He adjusts extremely well to off-target throws and has outstanding mid-air body control. After the catch, Mumpfield is very elusive in the open field to pick up extra yardage. He'll need to expand his route tree with improved precision but can be a viable threat as a short and intermediate receiver with deep ball capabilities. Konata Mumpfield is the second Pitt wideout to be drafted in the last two years. He follows Bub Means, who was a fifth-round choice by the New Orleans Saints last season. Advertisement Mumpfield will have the chance to carve out a role in a Rams offense that attacks defenses with route combinations that fit well with Mumpfield's best attributes. Rams rookie WR Konata Mumpfield learned how to run routes from watching Davante Adams tape
Rams rookie WR Konata Mumpfield learned how to run routes from watching Davante Adams tape New Rams wide receiver Konata Mumpfield is a big fan of watching game tape. The 2025 seventh-rounder out of Pittsburgh is known as a route technician and told LaQuan Jones of The Sick Podcast that he learned how to run routes by watching the Los Angeles Rams' current and former stars. Mumpfield said he grew up watching Davante Adams as well as Cooper Kupp. If there were any two receivers Sean McVay would want a young player to emulate, it's those two. And now, Mumpfield will get to learn from Adams himself and Kupp's apprentice, Puka Nacua. Despite is late round, Mumpfield was highly consistent during his collegiate career. He recorded at least 40 receptions for 500 yards in all four of his years in college (two at Akron and two at Pittsburgh) with at least five touchdowns in three of the four years. Mumpfield finished with 217 total receptions for 2,691 yards and 19 touchdowns. He doesn't figure to play an important role on the offense right now with at least four receivers ahead of him on the depth chart, but the Rams seem to have seen enough from Mumpfield to take him with their last 2025 draft pick. Now, it's up to him to make a name for himself this offseason ahead of the regular season.
