Four Youths Killed in Truck-Car Collision in Hisar; Bodies Retrieved After Cutting Open Mangled Car.

Hisar: Four young men died in a devastating head-on collision between an SUV and a truck near Nangthala village on the Agroha-Barwala road in this Haryana district on Sunday night. The impact of the crash squashed the car to a mangled shell, with the victims trapped inside. Locals came on the scene around 1 am and alerted emergency services. Police and rescue teams had to cut open the vehicle's doors to extract the bodies. The victims were Rammehar Poonia (27), Praveen Bhadu (28), and Ravindra Sharma (24), all from Kirori village, and Raju from Rajli village. Rammehar and Raju were brothers-in-law. Preliminary investigations suggest that the four were travelling toward Agroha when their vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming truck. The bodies were taken to Agroha Medical College, where doctors confirmed the deaths. Identification was made through Aadhaar cards recovered from the victims' pockets, and families were informed promptly. Their relatives said Raju had travelled to Kirori with his sister to attend a family function known as the Kothli ceremony. The group of four had gone out for a drive when the accident occurred. Only Praveen Bhadu among the victims was unmarried. Raju, married recently and a father to a five-month-old daughter, was the only son in his family. He leaves behind his wife, child, and parents. The tragedy has plunged both villages, Kirori and Rajli, into mourning. Police authorities, who are investigating the cause of the collision, have not yet confirmed any action against the truck driver. The accident highlights ongoing concerns about late-night driving safety and vehicle speed on rural highways.
