Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak praises Anthony Bradford
The Seattle Seahawks entered training camp holding competition at two positions on the offensive line. Olu Oluwatimi and Jalen Sundell were battling at center. Anthony Bradford and Christian Haynes were competing at right guard for a second straight offseason. With the regular season roughly one month away, both spots are all but settled. Bradford is the heavy in-house favorite to win the starting job. The Seahawks' coaching staff has consistently praised Bradford this offseason for the improvement he's displayed. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak had great things to say about his third-year blocker during Tuesday's 17th training camp practice. "AB [Bradford] has made great strides," Kubiak said. "Obviously he's a physical presence, but you see more consistency in his game throughout camp, so I see a guy that's playing more confident." Bradford struggled mightily under then-OC Ryan Grubb at right guard last season. The former LSU blocker was benched on multiple occasions. Pro Football Focus assigned Bradford an overall offensive grade of 48.3. The hirings of Kubiak and offensive line coach John Benton have seemingly given Bradford new life. The 2023 fourth-round selection appears to finally be showcasing the improvement the Seahawks hoped he'd show last season. Bradford could be poised for a breakout year.

Robbie Ouzts proved need for FB in Seahawks offense
OUZTS😤😤#NFLPreseason on NFL Network and NFL+ When the Seattle Seahawks hired Klint Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator, the need for a fullback on the roster became evident. Kubiak had routinely employed a lead blocker in his previous NFL offenses. The Seahawks considered adding a veteran option, but ultimately found their solution in the unlikeliest of places. John Schneider drafted former Alabama tight end Robbie Ouzts and converted him to a fullback. And in Seattle's first preseason contest, a 23-23 tie with the Las Vegas Raiders, Ouzts immediately proved his worth to the offense. Ouzts made an impact both as a pass catcher and run blocker. The former TE showcased his soft mitts on this 17-yard gain out of the backfield. The Seahawks opened the scoring via an explosive 24-yard touchdown run by running back George Holani. Ouzts threw a key block at the line of scrimmage, washing safety Chris Smith II out of the play on 3rd-and-1. It was a highlight-worthy block for Ouzts in his exhibition debut. After a review this was ruled a TD for George Holani and the @Seahawks 😤LVvsSEA on @NFLNetworkWatch live out-of-market preseason games on @NFLPlus The Seahawks explored various avenues to address their need for a fullback. Ouzts was an extremely creative solution to the problem. Ouzts preseason debut indicated the Seahawks have a potential gem at a keynote position in Kubiak's offense.

Klint Kubiak's clearly defined approach helping Seahawks players
The Seattle Seahawks lacked an offensive identity last season. The offense couldn't run the ball with any consistency. First-year offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb did not appear to be an NFL-caliber OC. A career NCAA coach, Mike Macdonald dismissed Grubb at the conclusion of the season and replaced him with Klint Kubiak. Kubiak has redesigned the offense this offseason. Establishing the run with physicality has been a priority at training camp. The offensive line and backfield experienced changes as a result of shifting priorities. Seahawks players believe Kubiak's scheme comes with more clarity and a clearly defined identity, according to a recent story by The Athletic's Michael-Shawn Dugar. 'Run the damn ball,' first-round rookie left guard Grey Zabel said. 'That's what I've learned. That's what we're going to hang our hat on this year. It starts up front, then you have to be able to move the line of scrimmage and protect the guy behind us, who's slinging the rock pretty well right now.' Grubb failed to establish an identity in Seattle last season. Kubiak is practicing what he preaches while working hard to ensure the Seahawks' offensive players are on the same page. Seattle's goal to field a run-first offense is clear, and Kubiak has the personnel moving in the same direction. Katie Kubiak breaks world records in four events at U.S. Para Swimming Championships
Katie Kubiak broke world records in the S4 classification in the 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 100m backstroke and 200m freestyle at the U.S. Paralympics Swimming Championships that ended Sunday in Boise, Idaho. Kubiak, coming off her junior year at New York University, capped the meet by clocking 2:44.97 in the 200m free, which was 6.56 seconds faster than the old world record set by German Tanja Scholz in 2022. Kubiak previously swam 36.44 in the 50m free (previous record: 36.92), 39.66 in the 50m fly (previous record: 40.22) and 1:32.72 in the 100m back (previous record: 1:43.91). 'My coach and I wanted to show up and put up the best times we absolutely could, and to have the time drops that we saw in my 50s and the consistency in my 100m and 200m freestyle today were really the cherry on top,' Kubiak said Sunday, according to the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee. 'I think the most impactful race this weekend was the 50m fly because breaking 40 seconds was a marker that I came into this meet with, so to be able to break it twice (prelims and final) was huge.' Kubiak, who has late-onset congenital myopathy, swam at the youth level until 2018, when she had spinal surgery. She returned to swimming in 2023 and took part in her first Para swim meet in 2024, according to the USOPC. In that first meet, she broke five American records. In December 2024, she won five titles at the national championships. Then in April, Kubiak swam at an international meet for the first time — a Para World Series stop in Indianapolis — and broke S4 world records in the 150m individual medley and 100m free. The team for September's World Championships in Singapore was announced in May. It includes Kubiak and is led by 18-time Paralympic gold medalist Jessica Long. Nick Zaccardi,
