Kuwait Olympic Committee celebrates ‘Blue Gymnastics'
KUWAIT: The Kuwait Olympic Committee held a reception for the champions of the Kuwait artistic gymnastics team to celebrate the achievement of the 'Blue Gymnastics' in the West Asian Championship for youth, juniors and girls categories. The tournament was recently held in the Jordanian capital Amman, during which Kuwaiti players won 32 medals; 17 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze, in a new achievement for the sport of gymnastics in Kuwait. Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah, Vice President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, praised the 'great results achieved by the Kuwaiti team in this international forum', stressing the committee's support for national teams and federations. Sheikh Mubarak Al-Faisal thanked the parents of the male and female players for their support, wishing more success for the heroes and heroines of the team in order to make more achievements and raise the name of Kuwait in all international forums. President of the Kuwait Gymnastics Federation, Fahad Al-Soula, thanked the President and members of the Kuwait Olympic Committee for their support of the Federation and its members, and thanked Sheikh Mubarak Al-Faisal for the good reception and welcome. He stressed that the Federation continues to develop the game and prepare and build national teams capable of competing and making achievements in the name of Kuwait in the sport of gymnastics with its technical and rhythmic sections, praising in this regard the support of parents of male and female players and their constant cooperation with the work of the Federation. Hessa Al-Sanea, member of the Board of Directors of the Federation and head of the Women's Committee, expressed her deep thanks and appreciation to the Olympic Committee for its interest in the heroes and heroines of the team and the wonderful achievement in the West Asian Championship, stressing that this achievement was not achieved easily but after great preparation and double efforts from the players, and great support and encouragement from their parents. Assistant Secretary of the Federation, Thaar Al-Shammari, appreciated the keenness of the Olympic Committee represented by Vice President Sheikh Mubarak Al-Faisal to receive and celebrate the team's delegation, stressing that this gesture encourages the players to exert more effort and give to continue making achievements in the name of Kuwait.

Kuwait gymnastics delegation celebrated after West Asian success
KUWAIT CITY, May 20: Kuwait's artistic gymnastics teams for youth, juniors, and girls have returned home in triumph after a stellar performance at the West Asian Gymnastics Championships, held in Amman, Jordan. The Kuwaiti delegation concluded the tournament with a total of 32 medals, including 1 gold, 6 silver, and 9 bronze, marking a major milestone in the country's gymnastics history. A celebratory reception was held at Kuwait International Airport to welcome the team. Leading the reception were Fahad Al-Soula, President of the Arab and Kuwaiti Gymnastics Federations; Abdul Latif Murad, Secretary-General of the Kuwait Gymnastics Federation; and Hessa Al-Sanea, Board Member and Chairwoman of the Women's Committee. Parents of the athletes were also present and were honored with flower bouquets as part of the celebration. Al-Soula expressed immense pride in the achievements of the national team, commending the dedication of the athletes and the efforts of the technical and administrative staff. He dedicated the victory to Kuwait's political leadership and the broader sporting community, acknowledging the continued support of the Public Authority for Sport and the Kuwait Olympic Committee in overcoming challenges faced by the federation. Secretary-General Abdul Latif Murad hailed the achievement as the result of rigorous preparation and strong commitment from the athletes, both male and female. He emphasized that despite their young age, the players rose to the occasion and demonstrated exceptional performance on the international stage. Murad also highlighted ongoing challenges facing the federation. 'We are still lacking essential infrastructure,' he said, noting the absence of a dedicated gymnastics facility and up-to-date equipment necessary for skill development. As a result, the federation continues to depend on international training camps in countries with advanced gymnastics programs.

Kuwait bags 9 medals at Asian Gymnastics championship
AMMAN: Kuwait's gymnastics team pose with their medals in Amman. AMMAN: The artistic gymnastics team for youth, juniors and girls made a new achievement, after winning 9 medals, 6 gold, silver and two bronze, on the second day of the West Asian Gymnastics Championship which held in the Jordanian capital (Amman) from May 14 to 18. The youth team player Abdullah Behbehani won the gold medal in the general individual competition, and Saud Al-Rudaini added a second gold in the junior category, while Mousa Al-Sahaf won the silver medal in the same category and in the team competition, the youth and junior teams succeeded in enhancing Kuwait's balance, by scoring two gold medals and winning first place in each category. On the girls' level, the Kuwaiti team won 4 medals, two gold and two bronze, as the first gold came through Sarah Al-Qattan in the 'HP3' stage floor movements competition, while Nawal Al-Zamil won the second gold in the 'HP2' stage jumping table competition, Fatima Al-Nama won the bronze medal in the general individual competition for the youth category and Shaha Al-Mulla bagged bronze in the floor movements competition. For his part, Chairman of Kuwait Gymnastics Federation, Fahad Al-Soula, praised the outstanding results achieved by the team's heroes and heroines in the championship, despite the strong competition from all participating teams, hoping that the medal tally will double in the coming days. He appreciated the support provided by the Public Authority for Sports and the Olympic Committee to the Federation, and their keenness to facilitate the tasks of the national teams, thanking the parents of the players for their cooperation with the Federation, and their support for their children to represent Kuwait in the best way in international forums.

GDYNIA, Poland, May 18, (KUNA: The Kuwaiti girls' rhythmic gymnastics team delivered an impressive performance at the Polish International Championship held in Gdynia, securing a total of three medals – one gold and two silver – amid strong competition from 23 participating countries. The Kuwait Gymnastics Federation hailed the team's achievement as a testament to the country's steady progress in rhythmic gymnastics. The medal-winning athletes included Fawzia Al-Abdulkarim, Raya Al-Qassar, Nabila Al-Kharafi, and Sarah Al-Bannai, whose performances stood out internationally. The Federation emphasized the significance of competing in a tournament that featured top-tier athletes from across the globe, including countries such as Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and the host nation, Poland. Other participating countries included the Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Turkey, New Zealand, Brazil, Egypt, and Kuwait. Kuwait wins 9 medals at West Asian Gymnastics Championships
AMMAN, May 17: The Kuwaiti youth, junior, and girls artistic gymnastics teams delivered an impressive performance at the West Asian Gymnastics Championships, securing a total of nine medals—six gold, one silver, and two bronze—on the second day of the competition held in Amman, Jordan. In the individual events, Abdullah Behbehani of the upper national team captured gold in the all-around category, while Saud Al-Rudaini secured gold in the junior division. His teammate, Musa Al-Sahaf, contributed to the tally with a silver medal in the same category. Kuwait also dominated the team competitions, with both the youth and junior teams capturing gold medals by finishing first in their respective categories. The girls' artistic gymnastics team made a strong mark as well, collecting four medals: two gold and two bronze. Sarah Al-Qattan claimed gold in the floor exercise (HP3), while Nawal Al-Zamel secured gold in the vault (HP3). Fatima Al-Nama earned bronze in the all-around junior women's competition, and Shahah Al-Mulla took bronze in the floor exercise (HP3).
