Kygo's Palm Tree Crew Invests In Nightlife Hotspot Mary Lou's As It Plots National Expansion
A rendering of Mary Lou's Montauk. Palm Tree Crew is turning up the volume on its hospitality game - this time by backing one of the buzziest names in nightlife. The brand, co-founded by global DJ Kygo and longtime manager Myles Shear, is making a strategic investment in Mary Lou's, the high-energy dining-meets-nightlife concept from Mama Hospitality. Mary Lou's made a splash with its debut in Palm Beach earlier this year, earning a rep for combining great food, inventive cocktails, and a party atmosphere that doesn't take itself too seriously. Now, it's heading to Montauk just in time for summer—and Palm Tree Crew is helping power the expansion. The partnership is more than just a financial boost. Palm Tree Crew and Mama Hospitality are launching a joint holding company to guide Mary Lou's as it grows into new markets across the U.S. and evolves the concept even further. It's a big step for Palm Tree Crew, which has been steadily growing beyond its music festival roots into a broader lifestyle and hospitality brand. 'Mary Lou's is exactly the kind of bold, culturally attuned concept we look for as we continue to build the Palm Tree Crew hospitality portfolio,' said Myles Shear, co-founder of Palm Tree Crew. 'It's more than a restaurant or a club—it's a fully immersive experience that speaks to a new generation of consumers looking for something memorable, social, and story-worthy. We're excited to help bring this to more consumers around the country.' A rendering of Mary Lou's Montauk. The Montauk opening is a big next step and a test for the concept's ability to scale while keeping its signature vibe intact. But with the weight of Palm Tree Crew behind it, Mary Lou's is better positioned than ever to bring its playful, immersive take on nightlife to other culturally rich destinations across the country. For Palm Tree Crew, the investment builds on a broader strategy to turn its brand into a full-fledged hospitality powerhouse. The company has recently launched or announced several destination venues in cities including Las Vegas, Miami, and Orlando, alongside its growing slate of global music festivals. On the venture side, Palm Tree Crew has made notable investments in culturally relevant, celebrity-adjacent brands, including Jake Paul's men's body care label W; social music discovery app Hook; and canned cocktail brand SIPMARGS, where Palm Tree Crew also helped bring in influencer Alix Earle as a lead investor. According to Mary Lou's co-founders Alex Melillo, Joe Cervasio, and Topher Grubb, the partnership represents a natural evolution of both companies' missions to create memorable, culturally resonant experiences. 'From day one, partnering with Kygo, Myles, and Palm Tree Crew felt like a natural progression for our brand,' said Melillo. 'We're all driven by the same passion to create unforgettable moments and world-class experiences that resonate deeply with people. This collaboration brings together a powerhouse team that truly understands how to shape culture on a global scale.' With the addition of Mary Lou's, the company is positioning itself to extend its influence from daytime events into nightlife and late-night culture. Mary Lou's Montauk is set to open its doors this summer and will serve as a litmus test for the concept's ability to scale while keeping its signature vibe intact. But with the weight of Palm Tree Crew behind it. As nightlife, music, and dining continue to merge into hybrid experiences, this move signals Palm Tree Crew's intent to lead the charge.

Here's everything you'll be eating at Ravinia Festival 2025
Ravinia's not just feeding your soul this summer—it's coming for your stomach too. As the 2025 Ravinia Festival kicks off its summer season on June 6, with over 100 concerts and an eye-popping 40 artist debuts (hello, Janelle Monáe, Kygo and Nas), festivalgoers can expect more than just top-tier tunes. The food lineup, curated by Levy and Executive Chef Mark Hill, is a headliner in its own right. Returning guests will find classic comforts with serious upgrades, like the Pulled Pork Stack, a decadent layering of creamy mac and cheese, barbecue mole-drizzled pork and crispy tortilla strips; or the Cappuccino Crunch Float, featuring cappuccino chip ice cream topped with whipped cream for the ultimate caffeinated cool-down. But the biggest culinary glow-up might just be at Park View, where new fine-dining flair includes lamb tartare with house tzatziki and oregano, and a smoked short rib served over annatto potato purée with roasted corn and mole demi-glace. Would you prefer to graze while watching the show? The revamped Tree Top Lounge is now a chic communal hangout with a full bar and live concert feeds. It plans to serve small plates with global flair, like burrata with Thai pesto, cured tuna with kimchi and sesame leaves, and wagyu sliders spiced up with togarashi tomato jam. Even the seafood fritto misto gets the Chicago treatment: calamari, shrimp, scallops and giardiniera with lemon aioli. And for one night only, Ravinia is serving up a menu as iconic as its guests. On June 7, in honor of Grace Jones and Janelle Monáe (who share a love for Jamaican flavors), you'll find jerk chicken with brown sugar glaze, pigeon peas and cornbread, plus jerk pork tacos at the Lawn Bar—because nothing says 'festival royalty' like spiced meat and a side of mac.

Event organizers note that additional European editions of the event will be announced 'soon.' 'As we continue to grow Palm Tree Music Festival globally, St. Tropez marks a monumental step in our expansion into Europe,' says Myles Shear, the co-founder of Palm Tree Crew and Kygo's longtime manager. 'We're bringing the best of Palm Tree Crew — music, travel, and entertainment — to one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, and kicking off what's to be an amazing European run.' In addition to Palm Tree Festival, Kygo and Shear also opened a brick and mortar Palm Tree Club in Miami late last year, with both the festival and the resort further establishing the duo's vision of Palm Tree Club as a lifestyle brand. In 2022, the pair told Billboard about how they're basing this model on Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville empire of music, bars, resorts and events. 'He created so many areas where [his fans] can come together — it doesn't even need to be at his shows. It can be at his hotel or a Margaritaville bar,' Kygo said of Buffet. 'That's what we're trying to create: something that's bigger than the music. A community, a movement.' Tina Turner's Decades-Old Classic Is A Hit Again During A Busy Week For The Singer's Legacy
Tina Turner's classics are charting again in the U.K., with "The Best," "Hot for You Baby," and ... More "It's Only Love" all landing on top-selling singles rankings. LOS ANGELES, CA - FEBRUARY 10: Singer Tina Turner performs onstage during the 50th annual Grammy awards held at the Staples Center on February 10, 2008 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by) Tina Turner's run of hits during the 1980s was one of the most successful of any musical artist in the world. She delivered smash after smash, and many of those cuts are still beloved today. Some were original compositions, while others — true to her style throughout her career — were reinterpretations of tracks first made popular by other musicians, as only Turner could. One such tune, "The Best," has returned to the spotlight. Fans of the late superstar have turned the hit single into a bestseller once again in the United Kingdom, making this a busy period for Turner's discography, as she sees multiple tracks land on the tallies. "The Best" is now back among the top-selling tracks in the U.K. This week, the tune appears on two rankings that focus exclusively on purchases. It returns at No. 76 on the Official Singles Downloads chart and at No. 81 on the Official Singles Sales list. "The Best" earned Turner her first-ever placement on the Official Singles Downloads chart when it debuted in May 2010. It also marked her second appearance on the Official Singles Sales list, following her collaboration with Kygo, as they two worked on a remake of her hugely successful "What's Love Got to Do With It." Turner's "The Best" has previously climbed into the top 10 on both rankings, and it's only spent about two months or so on the lists, spread out across the years. This frame is especially significant for Turner, as she posthumously scores a new hit on both U.K. rankings. "Hot for You Baby," a track that was originally recorded during the sessions for her Private Dancer album, has finally become a commercial win. Released in early 2025 in the lead-up to the fortieth anniversary re-release of the album for which it was originally created, the tune officially becomes a hit in the U.K., entering the Official Singles Downloads chart at No. 91 and the Official Singles Sales ranking at No. 94. Amazingly, even though she passed away in 2023 — less than two years ago — Turner currently claims a trio of hits in the U.K. In addition to both "The Best" and "Hot for You Baby," her collaboration with Bryan Adams, "It's Only Love," earns another stay on the Official Physical Singles chart. This frame, it dips from its peak of No. 18 to No. 47.
