Wisconsin women's basketball lands transfer guard

Wisconsin women's basketball lands transfer guard Wisconsin women's basketball landed a commitment from Missouri State transfer guard Kyrah Daniels on Wednesday. Daniels joins the program after two years at Missouri State. She played key roles during each of those campaigns, averaging 27.4 minutes, 9.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals as a true freshman in 2023-24, then 29.5 minutes 12 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals as a sophomore this past season. Over her two years with the Bears, Daniels shot a combined 39.6% from the floor and 35.3% from 3. She joins the Badgers with two years of eligibility remaining. The 6-foot guard is Wisconsin's fourth transfer commitment of the offseason, following Howard guard Destiny Howell, NC State guard Laci Steele and Southern Illinois forward Gift Uchenna. The four are projected to lead a Wisconsin roster that experienced top-down turnover this offseason, with six players gone to the transfer portal, including star forward Serah Williams, and another three to graduation. New head coach Robin Pingeton has been busy on the recruiting trail since taking over in late March. She is looking to lead the Badgers to their first winning season since 2010-11.
