Children's Pajama Recall Over Burn Hazard
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A New York fashion brand has recalled a range of $75 children's pajamas that pose a potential burn risk. La Ligne has announced that it is initiating a voluntary recall for its Enfant Bonne Nuit line after it was found to not meet federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has warned consumers that the recalled pajamas should be immediately taken away from children, destroyed and then disposed of. Newsweek has contacted La Ligne for comment by email outside working hours. Why It Matters Children's sleepwear sold in the United States must comply with stringent federal flammability standards designed to reduce the risk of severe injuries and fatalities from garment-related fires. The La Ligne recall, which was issued on August 7, affects 1,185 units. In announcing the recall, the fashion brand explained that testing found the pajamas, which were designed to mimic its adult Bonne Nuit range, did not meet flammability standards. Romilly Lockyer/Getty What To Know La Ligne said in the recall notice: "We learned that 100 percent cotton pajamas that have not been treated with a chemical flame-resistant substance, and/or are not tight fitting, will generally not meet the federal standards required for children's sleepwear. 100 percent untreated cotton remains completely safe and preferred by many for adult sleepwear." The pajamas feature a two-piece, long-sleeve set available in multiple color combinations—green with light blue trim, pink with red trim, red with white trim, light blue with red trim, navy with white trim, and white with navy trim—and were sold in sizes 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. Each garment displays "La Ligne," "Mini" and the size on the neck label. "Made in Peru" appears with RN number 150209 on a seam label. These sets were offered both in La Ligne's retail stores and online at between November 2023 and March 2025, retailing for about $75 per set. La Ligne Enfant Bonne Nuit pajamas. La Ligne Enfant Bonne Nuit pajamas. Consumer Product Safety Commission No injuries or burn incidents have been reported to date. To obtain a $75 refund or store credit, La Ligne requires that customers cut the garments following a set of disposal instructions and email lou@ with photos of the destroyed pajamas. Its disposal instructions are as follows: For the pajama bottoms, cut both pant legs vertically from waist band to ankle cuff. For the pajama tops, cut large hole on either side of the button placket. Take a photo of the pajama top and bottoms to send to La Ligne. This is a required part of the refund process. Discontinue the use of the pajamas immediately. What People Are Saying La Ligne said in its recall announcement: "This is an important update for customers who may have purchased the Enfant Bonne Nuit children's pajamas from us or who received them as gifts. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), we have initiated a voluntary recall [of] these children's pajamas, which upon recent testing were found not to meet federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear." The brand added: "We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding." The Consumer Product Safety Commission said of the pajamas: "The recalled children's pajama sets violate mandatory standards for children's sleepwear flammability, posing a risk of burn injuries to children." What Happens Next The recall, which is voluntary but conducted in cooperation with the CPSC, remains ongoing.

Dianna Agron unveils 'incredibly personal' fashion collection
Dianna Agron found it a "joy" to work on her "incredibly personal" fashion collection for clothing brand La Ligne. The Glee star has teamed up with the company to co-create her own range of pieces that reflect her style which includes the Dianna Cardigan and Dianna Tank as well as skirts dresses and a trench coat, which retails for $495. Dianna told WWD: "This collection is incredibly personal to me. It was a joy to create something that reflects my style, while staying true to the essence of La Ligne - timeless, wearable, and effortlessly chic." The 39-year-old actress went on to reveal she's been fascinated by clothing construction after watching her mother sew when she was a child and seeing costume designers work on the sets of her TV and film projects. She added: "As someone who steps behind the camera a lot as a director, you really have to understand so much about storytelling ... "So between watching that in the home [my mother sewing] and seeing that on set and working with costume designers that I so deeply admire ... "It was so absolutely joyful to be able to step into this role of collaborator with these women that I admire so much ... I'm so curious, and I always want to just learn to the full extent of the experience." The collection launches online and in select stores on Thursday (17.07.25). Dianna has previously revealed she feels most "comfortable" when wearing a suit, but she's only felt able to incorporate more formalwear into her wardrobe over the last few years. She told W magazine: "Oftentimes, I feel most comfortable in a suit. While I always admired women who wore a lot of suiting - like Katharine Hepburn and Diane Keaton - it never was something that I incorporated into my wardrobe until the last couple of years. "But it's an easy go-to that I know will make me feel like myself. While there are exceptions to every stylistic choice, I would rather you see me as I am in my presence more than notice an article of clothing I'm wearing. She added of her shoe choices: "I definitely like a flat shoe, because I love to dance. After so many years of wearing heels, I would never want to be inhibited by the shoe I'm wearing."

Jennifer Lawrence Swaps Her Favorite Easy Pants for an Elevated Skirt Trend
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. It clearly took something very special to part Jennifer Lawrence from her favorite La Ligne pants. Having worn the comfy $295 pants with just about everything, Lawrence instead opted for a midi skirt incorporating the current lace clothing trend for a night out. The No Hard Feelings star also carried a super rare The Row bag and wore an in-demand pair of ballet flats from the coveted brand. Leaving her cargo pants at home, the Oscar-winner was photographed in New York wearing a red silk blouse with a simple black cardigan, and a black lace-trim midi skirt. Leaning into the reinvigorated indie sleaze trend, and including a nod to fashion's current new Victorian influences, the slip skirt—once a '90s trend staple—continues to dominate runways in 2025. Late last year, Zoë Kravitz demonstrated the appeal of a lace-trim slip skirt for an evening out with Taylor Swift. The style seems all but set to become one of 2025's most popular skirt trends. View Deal View Deal View Deal Lawrence accessorized her outfit with an ultra-rare The Row Lady Bag, worth approximately $33,000, which the actress appears to own in two colors. For footwear, the Hunger Games star picked The Row's sold-out Eva leather ballet flats. For jewelry, Lawrence pulled a Sophie Buhai 1930 18K Gold Vermeil Necklace, a Foundrae Pause Internal Compass Medium Medallion Garnet with Annex Link, and a Foundrae Heavy Belcher Open Chain in 18K Gold. View Deal View Deal View Deal Lawrence, of course, is a major fan of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's fashion brand. For instance, in December 2023, Lawrence wore a $10,000 cherry red coat from The Row to attend the Broadway opening of the play "Appropriate." Since then, she's been seen wearing The Row on a multitude of occasions. Lawrence, who is styled by Jamie Mizrahi, discussed her approach to fashion with The Kit in October 2023. "I always think it's elegant to get ready quickly," the actress explained. "This is weird, but in Eyes Wide Shut when Nicole Kidman has her hair up and she has glasses on, and then she takes her hair down and takes off her glasses, it's like [this moment of] effortless beauty."

Meghan Markle called out for Archie's expensive pajamas in Mother's Day post: ‘Isn't relatable'
In this economy? Meghan Markle got ripped over her Mother's Day post, declaring she's 'juggling it all' while dressing her son, Prince Archie, 6, in a pricey pair of children's pajamas. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, took to social media on Sunday, May 11, to celebrate all the moms out there while including a photo of herself with the two children she shares with Prince Harry, 40 — Archie and Princess Lilibet, 3. Neither Markle nor her kids' faces appear in the snap, taken on what appears to be their Montecito, Calif., balcony. All of their backs are to the camera as she holds Archie and Lilibet in each arm, and they climb all over her. 9 Meghan Markle's Mother's Day post is being dissected by Internet trolls. Meghan Markle/Instagram 9 Some took issue with Prince Archie's pricey pajamas. meghan/Instagram 'Happy Mother's Day! Cheers to juggling it all with joy!' Markle's post began before directing the message to her children. 'And to these two gems – who still attempt to climb 'mama mountain', smother me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure….being your mom is the greatest privilege of my life,' she continued. 'I, too, 'love you more than all the stars in all the sky, all the raindrops, and all the salt on all the french fries in all the world.' 9 The Duke and Duchess of Sussex share two kids: Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 3. Instagram / @aseverofficial 9 Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently enjoyed Beyonce's concert — and tickets weren't cheap. Instagram/@meghan While her words seem nice enough, several saw fault in her post, especially when she claimed to be 'juggling it all' as her son is dressed in expensive sleepwear. Turns out, Archie's pajamas are seriously fancy and costly, leaving some to scowl at the princess' attempt to be relatable. His white and black sleepwear set is from the New York luxury label La Ligne and known as the 'Navy/white Enfant Bonne Nuit Pajamas,' as Hello! first pointed out. 9 Prince Archie's pajama set cost a whopping $75. Meghan Markle/Instagram 9 Others claimed Archie and Lilibet are 'always in pajamas.' Meghan Markle/Instagram While the stylish pajamas are no longer available on their website, the price of the button-up set was listed as $75 online. 'Meghan Markle's Mother's Day post includes a detail that proves she isn't the relatable mother-of-two she likes to seem,' Daily Mail posted on X. Others seemed to take issue with the fact that Archie and Lilibet seem to be 'always in pajamas.' 9 Social media users also slammed Meghan for not including her own mom in her Mother's Day post. Netflix 'These children are almost always in pajamas on social media as well which is bizarre. It's like she only sees them when they're going to bed,' someone shared. 'I've never seen them without their PJ's. When they put cream cheese on bagels at Valentines… When they doing cookies in the kitchen in the afternoon… When Lili was staring down at a game board w Serena… What…the Nanny's don't dress them either?' joked another. Some people ridiculed Markle for not including her own mom, Doria Ragland, in her Mother's Day post, and questioned why Prince Harry did not share a social media tribute to his wife. 'This is a Mother's Day post to HERSELF. It isn't a post honouring her own mother, Doria. Weird, huh? Also, why is there no message issued from Harry to honour the mother of his children?' one X user tweeted. 'Leave it to #MeghanMarkle to make Mothers Day all about her and not mention her own mother. Not a Happy Mothers Day to Doria, not a photo, not even a passing reference. Instead she congratulated herself on how amazing she is and how much her kids worship her. Very telling,' wrote a second. 9 Meghan Markle and Prince Harry married in 2018. Instagram/@meghan 9 The duchess at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025. / But not everyone was hating on Markle's sweet dedication. Some praised the princess for the adorable photo with her children. 'Meghan Sussex (née Markle) and Amber Heard haters are so bitter and hateful about them celebrating their children. The toxic patriarchy is seething, meanwhile the mothers are mothering on Mother's Day,' someone replied in defense of both Markle and Amber Heard, who announced on Sunday that she had welcomed twins. 'Meghan Sussex and her little ones are an enchanting sight on this wonderful Mother's Day,' added another. 'This Mother's Day photo by Meghan is so touching. Happy Mother's Day to you all,' tweeted a third. Archie's pajama set wasn't the only expensive clothing item worn during Markle's special day. In the photo, the duchess was sporting a pricey cashmere cream sweater from Brochu Walker that retails for a whopping $400, and that's only her top half. Despite failing to post a Mother's Day tribute to his wife, Prince Harry and Markle couldn't keep their hands to themselves while at one of Beyoncé's Los Angeles, Calif., stops on her 'Cowboy Carter' tour last week — and, based on their view, they likely dropped a pretty penny for the tickets.
