Aleem congratulates Lahore Qalandars
LAHORE: Federal Minister for Communications and President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, Abdul Aleem Khan, warmly congratulated the 'Lahore Qalandars' on their impressive win in the final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10. In a message shared on social media, Abdul Aleem Khan proudly said, 'Lahore, Lahore Aay!' and added, 'Long live Pakistan and long live the Pakistan armed forces.' He praised the team's strong performance, saying that they won the hearts of cricket fans all over the country. He also noted that although the tournament had its highs and lows, its successful ending has boosted Pakistan's image worldwide. He called this another proud achievement for the country. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi grabbed two wickets for three runs in his three overs as Islamabad was routed for 107 in 15.1 overs in reply to Lahore's imposing 202-8. Afridi got a wicket with his third ball when he uprooted the middle stump of Mohammad Shahzad for a duck. HBL PSL X: Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf achieve major milestone in T20 cricket
Listen to article Lahore Qalandars' pace duo, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, reached a significant career milestone during their match against Islamabad United in the ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL X), becoming the latest Pakistani bowlers to claim 300 wickets in T20 cricket. Shaheen achieved the feat in his 216th T20 match, becoming the fastest Pakistani and fourth-fastest bowler globally to reach 300 T20 wickets. Haris Rauf followed closely, accomplishing the milestone in his 228th match, making him the second-fastest Pakistani to reach the mark. The previous record for the fastest Pakistani to 300 T20 wickets was jointly held by Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz, who achieved the milestone in 256 innings each. The achievement marks a major personal and national milestone for both bowlers in the shortest format of the game.
