What did the pre-draft scouting reports say about Lions 5th-round OL Miles Frazier?
The Detroit Lions traded up to select LSU guard Miles Frazier in the 5th round of this year's draft. Frazier is the second offensive lineman the Lions selected after grabbing Ohio State's Tate Ratledge in Round 2. The pick represents a continued long-term investment in the driving force behind the Lions' offense that has carried them to the playoffs the last two seasons. Advertisement Scouting reports on Frazier ahead of the draft projected him among some of the better offensive linemen in the country, making his fall to pick No. 171 a surprising one depending on where you look for analysis. Here's a look at a handful of key points from scouting reports from national media outlets: Prospect Grade: 6.18 (out of 8) League Projection: Good Backup with Potential to Develop into Starter NFL Next Gen Stats Total Score: 71 (2025 Combine G Rank No. 12) Analysis from NFL Analyst Lance Zierlein: Four-year starter who classifies as a physical short-area guard with satisfactory height, weight and length. Frazier has knock-back pop and is capable of mauling in tight spaces. His short pulls and lead blocks around the end are solid. Difficulties with reach blocks and second-level cut-offs on stretch plays could cause zone teams to scratch him. He possesses adequate range and foot quickness in protection and is fairly clear-eyed to recognize gaming fronts. His hand placement is average and he's tight in his knees, which could be a concern for his anchor. Frazier has things to clean up but carries pro measurables and a play demeanor that gives him a shot to become a starter. 2024 Run Block Grade: 64.1 2024 Pass Block Grade: 88.0 2024 Overall Grade: 70.3 Analysis from PFF: Frazier's athletic ability and versatility give him a solid chance to be a swingman in the NFL. His lack of length makes him a better fit at guard, but he'll need to get stronger in order to have a chance at a starting role. Grade: 7.2 Overall Draft Rank: 90 Position Rank: IOL 10 Pro Comparison: Billy Turner Analysis by BR NFL Scout Brandon Thorn: Miles Frazier is a four-year starter with at least one start at every position but center and the bulk of his time spent at guard. Frazier started 12 games in 2024 inside LSU's pass-first (60-40 pass-run split), multiple-run scheme. Frazier has a wide-bodied frame with good length, mass and girth throughout his build. He has adequate athletic ability and good play Frazier has below-average movement skills and erratic sustain skills but is a big, strong, experienced guard prospect with impressive proven versatility on his resume and the skills to carve out a role inside a downhill, vertical run scheme. Draft Projection: Adequate Starter, Day 2 Selection Analysis from Daniel Harms: Miles Frazier draws attention with his size and power as soon as the tape comes on. Coming in at 6-foot-6 and 238 pounds, he looks the part of an NFL offensive lineman with the length to match. LSU showcased a lot of zone read and inside zone run concepts while Jayden Daniels was quarterbacking the team, but Frazier is a better power run fit with his explosive and powerful downhill Frazier plays with the right mentality and physicality, which is helped in the phone booth at guard. He's a guard-only prospect with many tools to succeed at the next level in a power-run scheme offense. 49ers win big with compensatory picks in 2026 NFL draft
49ers win big with compensatory picks in 2026 NFL draft The San Francisco 49ers' slow 2025 free agency was done largely for financial reasons, but there was also an eye toward the 2026 NFL draft. A projection from NFL Media's Lance Zierlein matches another projection from Over the Cap that says the 49ers will rack up three additional picks in next year's draft. San Francisco is projected to receive two comp picks in Round 4, and another in Round 5. They're out of additional third-round picks acquired through the JC-2A resolution that rewards teams for minority head coach and general managers being hired away from their staffs and front offices. OTC has the 49ers getting fourth-round picks for left guard Aaron Banks and cornerback Charvarius Ward. They signed with the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts, respectively. The fifth-round selection comes from safety Talanoa Hufanga, who signed with the Denver Broncos. The losses of offensive tackle Jaylon Moore, linebacker Dre Greenlaw and quarterback Joshua Dobbs are projected to be cancelled out by the additions of wide receiver Demarcus Robinson, tight end Luke Farrell and quarterback Mac Jones. None of the team's other free agent additions or losses qualified for the comp pick formula per Over the Cap. Next year's draft will be another big one for the 49ers, and adding 3 relatively early Day 3 picks will be helpful in either adding talent or moving up the board earlier in the draft. The NFL will officially announce compensatory picks sometime next March.

Ravens projected to have four compensatory picks in 2026 NFL Draft
Ravens projected to have four compensatory picks in 2026 NFL Draft The Ravens are projected to have four compensatory picks in the 2026 NFL draft after losing five 2025 free agents Baltimore just used all 11 picks in the 2025 NFL draft, and Eric DeCosta could be loaded for 2026 after losing several key free agents. Lance Zierlein projected the compensatory pick process for next spring and has the Ravens penciled in for four more extra draft picks following the departure of several key contributors. How the process works The number of compensatory picks allotted each year is limited to the number of teams in the league (32), per the collective bargaining agreement. However, compensatory picks are not divided up equally among the teams, and no team can receive more than four compensatory picks in a single year. Teams that end up with more qualifying free agents lost than gained in a particular year are eligible to receive compensatory selections. A team that lost as many qualifying free agents as it gained might be eligible to receive a Round 7 compensatory pick, based on the value of the qualifying free agents it lost versus the value of the qualifying free agents it gained. Teams are awarded compensatory draft picks between Rounds 3 and 7 based on a league formula that takes into account a player's average salary per year (APY), snap count and postseason awards. While there is an expected level of compensation for a player based on the amount he has signed for, his playing time (or lack thereof) in the upcoming season could alter the expectation. Here's what Zierlein said about Baltimore: Projected compensatory picks: two in Round 5; two in Round free-agent losses: Patrick Mekari (Jaguars), Brandon Stephens (Jets), Malik Harrison (Steelers), Josh Jones (Seahawks), Tre'Davious White (Bills)Key free-agent addition: DeAndre Hopkins No team has been better at stockpiling compensatory picks than the Ravens, who had the maximum total of four in 2025. They are likely to be awarded four compensatory picks again in 2026. Stephens and Mekari should net fifth-round selections, while Jones could bring a seventh-rounder. Also, I believe White will receive enough playing time in Buffalo to fetch another pick late in Round 7. The NFL Management Council's formula to determine the compensatory picks for the 2026 NFL Draft will not be completed until after the 2025 season is over. To qualify for the compensatory-pick formula, players need to have been signed as unrestricted free agents before April 28. Players released by their previous team are not eligible for the formula, so they're not included in the key additions. Note also that players are presented in order of descending APY, according to Over the Cap. Baltimore and Pittsburgh are the only teams projected to have four.

Green Bay Packers 2025 seventh-round pick: CB Micah Robinson
The Green Bay Packers selected Tulane cornerback Micah Robinson in the seventh round (No. 237 overall) of the 2025 NFL draft. Profile Height: 5-10 Weight: 183 Age: 23 From: Atlanta, GA College profile Breakdown: Spent four seasons at Furman before transferring to Tulane. Was the top graded defensive player for Tulane's terrific 2024 defense. Allowed a passer rating of only 52.4 into his coverage, with two picks, four pass breakups and a forced fumble. All-AAC pick in 2024. Smaller than the Packers like at 5-10 and 183 pounds but the team likes his movement ability for the position. Ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38-4.42 seconds. Played mostly on the perimeter across five collegiate seasons. Finished career with seven interceptions and 11 touchdown passes allowed. Not a perfect tackler, but a willing force defender who is unafraid of the physical side despite his size. Pre-draft visitor to Green Bay. Scouting reports Lance Zierlein, "Fifth-year senior who spent one season at Tulane after transferring from Furman. He has NFL-caliber top-end speed but lacks the short-area shiftiness to match slot targets, which might be something he's asked to do because he lacks ideal size. He was greatly improved in 2024 and is a tough run supporter when plays flow his way." Advertisement They said it: "He's got great feet, he can play off-man coverage, which is one of the harder things to do. He took up a step from Furman to Tulane, and really played really, really well in his first season there. So I think as he gets more reps against really better competition, I think he's going to continue to improve. He doesn't have elite size, but I thought his speed and his ability as an athlete to stay with guys, particularly from playing off coverage which is so hard, and he's got great ball skills.' -- GM Brian Gutekunst New uniform: No. 26 Robinson wore No. 6 at Tulane, but Mecole Hardman currently has the number. He wore No. 14 at Furman, but that number is retired. He'll be No. 26 as a rookie.
