Texas A&M is a finalist to land elite 2026 4-star SF out of Marietta (GA)

Texas A&M head coach Bucky McMillan and his staff gained ground with Top-20 recruit Colben Landrew, who placed the Aggies in his top 10. The four-star 6-foot-6 guard/forward is scheduled for an official visit in early October, and Coach Bucky will do everything he can to keep A&M high on Landrew's list. Landrew is a big-bodied guard with a 6-foot-10 wingspan and a physical style of play that translates seamlessly from the football field to the hardwood. He's an intelligent player who's still developing as a shooter but has already shown a smooth touch. Landing in Landrew's top 10 is a strong first step, but the Aggies will need to cover serious ground to keep pace with programs like Auburn, Texas, and Alabama. If A&M can put a compelling product on the floor and show Landrew that his style fits the Bucky Ball system, it could go a long way in his recruitment. According to 247Sports, Landrew is ranked No. 61 nationally, No. 25 among small forwards, and No. 4 in the state of Texas. 2026 four-star guard Colben Landrew names Auburn in top ten

2026 four-star player Colden Landrew names Auburn in top ten and will visit Iron Bowl weekend. Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers received positive news on the recruiting front earlier this week. 2026 four-star shooting guard Colben Landrew announced Auburn as one of his top ten schools per Joe Tipton of Rivals. Landrew announced in late June that he would officially the Tigers at a future date. That day has been confirmed for Nov. 29. That is the day Auburn will host Alabama in the Iron Bowl. Landrew is originally from Alabaster, Alabama where he attended Thompson High School. He is now at Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. He is not just one of the top players in Georgia, but also one of the best in the nation. In their latest rankings, Rivals has Landrew as a top 20 player at No. 16. He is slightly above two other Auburn targets Tay Kenney (No. 21) and Chris Washington (No. 25). Landrew is rated as the No. 2 player in Georgia and the No. 9 shooting guard by Rivals. 247Sports has him listed as small forward and Rivals as a shooting guard, but he has the skillset to play either position. Landrew has solid ball handling abilities and can make tough shots from different spots on the floor. He has three-point range, but Landrew can also get to the paint using ball screens. He isn't shy about going after a rebound after a missed shot either. The shooting ability will be a skill that should translate quickly to the SEC. Landrew can knock down shots under pressure as well. Auburn is one of six visits he has scheduled. He will also visit Louisville (Aug. 28), Mississippi State (Sept. 19), Georgia (Sept. 26), Texas A&M (Oct. 4), and Alabama (Oct. 18). Landrew recently visited Purdue on June 24. The other schools in his top ten are Ole Miss, Texas, and UConn. Auburn basketball locks in visit with four-star forward Colben Landrew

The four-star forward will visit the Plains during a crucial football weekend. While a lot of attention has been paid to Auburn's recruiting in football, basketball is getting a key future visit as well. Four-star 2026 small forward Colben Landrew plans to visit Auburn during Iron Bowl weekend in November, per a report from On3's Joe Tipton. Landrew plays in Marietta, Georgia, for Wheeler High School, where he helped lead his team to a 7A GHSA State Championship. Landrew is an Alabama native from Alabaster. 247Sports has him as the No. 4 player in Georgia and No. 64 nationally. On3 has Landrew ranked No. 73 nationally. Landrew is not the only small forward the Tigers are interested in for their 2026 recruiting class. They are one of many schools looking to add five-star small forward Anthony Thompson to their roster. Thompson is the No. 9 player nationally for 2026 and No. 3 at small forward. He is from Hudson, Ohio, and attends Western Reserve Academy. The top player in Ohio named the Tigers in his top 15 in April. Auburn could be looking for help at the small forward or wing position in 2026-27. Keyshawn Hall transferred from UCF after the 2024-25 season and should be the Tigers' top wing player. Hall led the Big 12 in scoring this past season with 18.8 points per game. If Hall can replicate his production at Auburn in the SEC, he will be a top NBA Draft prospect next summer. Landrew and Thompson both would be big commitments to give the Tigers top talent at the small forward position.
