If you're looking to put together a chic Fourth of July outfit, skip the star-spangled shirts and embrace the spirit of summer with a wink of patriotism. Think: a pop of red here or there and undeniably cool stripes. Whether you're heading to a backyard BBQ or a fancy rooftop fireworks show, taking a less-is-more approach ensures your look is a sartorial success. To help you plan the finishing touches, we've gathered some of our favorite celebrity-approved outfits, from Laura Harrier's elegant take on matching sets to Emily Ratajkowski's borrowed-from-the-boys ensemble. You'll find something for every mood and moment, ahead. Never underestimate the power of neutrals. A simple top paired with a coordinating skirt can easily look like a work of art with fun accessories. Follow Harrier's lead with ankle-wrapping sandals and a standout straw bag. Fourth of July or not, red accent pieces are a must in any wardrobe. Here, Naomi Watts highlights the raspberry print in her Khaite dress with a Métier tote bag and tall Gianvito Rossi heels. If you're after something a bit more practical, get the same look with easy-to-walk-in kitten heels. Even in chill mode, you can still look chic. Ratajkowski shows us how it's done in a pair of basketball shorts that are balanced with a sleek tube top and unexpected woven ballet flats. The easiest way to stay cozy and chic? Test-drive the pajama pant trend. At Wimbledon, Angela Scanlon nailed the look in a striped red set paired with crisp white pointed-toe heels. No color, no problem. Queen Rania of Jordan delivers a lesson in understated elegance with a cutout top, Alo trousers, and a Jacquemus bag. Pomellato Unveils Its Most Dazzling High Jewelry Collection Yet

Every item on this page was chosen by an ELLE editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy. Few brands can boast of hosting an evening inside Milan's iconic Pinacoteca di Brera gallery—but Pomellato certainly can. Last Friday, the renowned Milanese jeweler held an unforgettable gala beneath the Italian sunset to unveil its latest high jewelry collection, Collezione 1967. The exclusive guest list included actresses America Ferrera, Laura Harrier, and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu. More than a mere debut, Collezione 1967 serves as a bold manifesto of Pomellato's enduring commitment to Italian craftsmanship, centuries-old goldsmithing techniques, and a legacy of creative freedom. Comprising 75 pieces, the collection delves into the maison's rich heritage, offering a journey through the decades. The 1970s usher in a 'chain revolution,' referencing a time in Milan charged with youthful rebellion. The 1980s chapter sees Pomellato 'breaking the rules of design,' leaning into the exuberant expressionism born from the era of Italian power dressing. Finally, a 'chromatic vision' defines the 1990s, with 37 vibrant pieces showcasing the decade's dynamic relationship with color and form. The collection uniquely showcases the house's signature rose gold and cabochon (polished but not faceted) gems—hallmarks of its distinctive style. With careful attention to these iconic codes, in-house gem master Stefano Cortecci reimagined the brand's rich history through a modern lens. Chain-link bracelets, multicolored jewel-encrusted rings, and pavé zipper necklaces reinvigorated timeless designs. Guests were first welcomed at Pomellato's headquarters for an exclusive preview of the collection, before heading to the storied halls of the Pinacoteca di Brera for the evening's main event. To mark the occasion, the brand kicked off the evening with a runway show, pairing each piece with a designer look. My personal favorite? A link necktie that perfectly complemented a low-cut catsuit with padded shoulders. The look was completed with a Duetto ring, adding an unexpected pop of color. The night concluded with a dinner prepared by two-Michelin-starred chef Antonio Guida—a fitting finale to a picture-perfect Italian outing. While the high jewelry pieces from Collezione 1967 aren't available for purchase, you can still shop some of my favorite Pomellato designs below.

Old Navy Returning to Herald Square's 34th Street

Old Navy isn't giving up on Manhattan's 34th Street. After losing its 34th Street site at 150 West 34th Street to Primark — a prime competitor — Old Navy has signed a lease to open at 50 West 34th Street, on the southeast corner of 34th and Broadway, catty corner to Macy's. The Old Navy store will occupy 55,000 square feet over two floors and is expected to open some time in 2026. More from WWD Laura Harrier and Zac Posen Celebrate Denim and Dandyism in Bold Gap Studio Suit That Challenges Binaries Around Masculinity and Femininity Henry Lehr's Magic Lives On: Mickey Drexler Helps Expand the Legacy Gap and Dôen Get Ready for Round Two of California Vintage-inspired Summer Collection 'New York is the most important retail and tourism market in the world, drawing over 60 million visitors annually and we are thrilled to announce Old Navy's new flagship is coming to such a prime location,' Haio Barbeito, Old Navy's president and chief executive officer, said in a statement Friday. Old Navy said the new store will be a 'next generation flagship' for the brand, which is a division of Gap Inc. 'As we look to modernize the Old Navy customer experience, this new location will enable us to deliver a fresh, immersive, digitally led experience that invites visitors and shoppers from around the world to come play with style,' Barbeito added. Old Navy and Primark are both family-oriented fashion retailers with low prices. The Dublin-based Primark has been steadily expanding in the U.S., and is also expected to open on 34th Street some time in 2026. It will be interesting to see which retailer opens first. For Primark, its 34th Street location will be its first in Manhattan. The store will occupy 75,000 square feet, including 54,000 square feet of selling space on four levels. The two retailers will be going head-to-head against Macy's, Target, H&M, Zara, Uniqlo, American Eagle and Urban Outfitters, among the thick concentration of retailers in and around Herald Square. 'There's a great competitor set in that area. It is certainly synonymous with retail,' Kevin Tulip, president of Primark in the U.S., told WWD in a previous interview. 'For a company like Primark that is building not just stores, but also its brand across the U.S., the ability to have a flagship there is an incredible moment for us.' The future Old Navy will be at the base of Herald Towers, which was built in 1912, serving as the Hotel McAlpin until its conversion to residential use in 1980. JEMB acquired the asset in 1999, renaming it Herald Towers. The 25-story, 1 million-square-foot mixed-use building offers 700 residential units and a ground floor retail component of more than 100,000 square feet. The Gap brand once operated one of its most productive, largest stores on the site. Morris Bailey, chairman of JEMB Realty, said in a statement that the long-term lease his firm signed with Old Navy is 'a testament to the longstanding relationship between JEMB and Gap Inc. We negotiated the original lease directly with Gap Inc.'s founders, Don and Doris Fisher, and are gratified to be working with the company's leadership again today.' The Old Navy deal comes on the heels of JEMB's 160,000-square-foot lease for Yeshiva University's health sciences campus at Herald Center, just west of where Old Navy will be. Laura Harrier wanted to 'play on feminine and masculine' with her Met Gala outfit

Laura Harrier wanted to "play on feminine and masculine" with her Met Gala outfit. The 35-year-old model wore a waistcoat and cream satin trousers designed by Gap, Inc. creative director Zac Posen to attend fashion's biggest night in New York on Monday (07.05.25) evening, and loved how the overall look was a balance between the two genders. She told US TV show 'Extra': "I've been a fan of Zac for a long time. I love his work; he's a lovely person I've come to know. Gap I just think is such a storied American brand, so this collaboration, I was really excited about. "I love this play on feminine and masculine that we're doing, where we're able to celebrate black menswear tailoring while still feeling feminine and beautiful." Meanwhile, Zac explained that he wanted to adhere to the theme of Superfine: Tailoring Black Style by exploring "self-expression" within his design. He told The Cut: "I've been ideating since the day I was born. Self-expression, identity, the power of dress, and the subversive or rebellious quality of dress have been a theme of self-exploration my entire life. When I first heard the theme, I went into an immense treasure trove of early ideas of identity of dandyism. First, with Oscar Wilde, somebody who embodied dandyism in terms of his intellect, but also his voice and his writing. The same goes with Beau Brummell. He changed fashion by being shocking through his dress at the time and tailoring. It goes into people who are social commentators. You have Charles Baudelaire and his ideas as a writer, critic, and poet. In terms of Black identity, it goes into people using it for identity and defiance — for example, Frederick Douglass, who used dressing as a tool of resistance and self-identity. There was no stopping him through the power of fashion and dress. And then that evolves into music. It's very important to give that space, and it's very interesting to see that expressed and built out through an exhibition."
