Laura Harrier wanted to 'play on feminine and masculine' with her Met Gala outfit
The 35-year-old model wore a waistcoat and cream satin trousers designed by Gap, Inc. creative director Zac Posen to attend fashion's biggest night in New York on Monday (07.05.25) evening, and loved how the overall look was a balance between the two genders.
She told US TV show 'Extra': "I've been a fan of Zac for a long time. I love his work; he's a lovely person I've come to know. Gap I just think is such a storied American brand, so this collaboration, I was really excited about.
"I love this play on feminine and masculine that we're doing, where we're able to celebrate black menswear tailoring while still feeling feminine and beautiful."
Meanwhile, Zac explained that he wanted to adhere to the theme of Superfine: Tailoring Black Style by exploring "self-expression" within his design.
He told The Cut: "I've been ideating since the day I was born. Self-expression, identity, the power of dress, and the subversive or rebellious quality of dress have been a theme of self-exploration my entire life. When I first heard the theme, I went into an immense treasure trove of early ideas of identity of dandyism. First, with Oscar Wilde, somebody who embodied dandyism in terms of his intellect, but also his voice and his writing. The same goes with Beau Brummell. He changed fashion by being shocking through his dress at the time and tailoring. It goes into people who are social commentators. You have Charles Baudelaire and his ideas as a writer, critic, and poet. In terms of Black identity, it goes into people using it for identity and defiance — for example, Frederick Douglass, who used dressing as a tool of resistance and self-identity. There was no stopping him through the power of fashion and dress. And then that evolves into music. It's very important to give that space, and it's very interesting to see that expressed and built out through an exhibition."

Travis' Dougie Payne says Bonehead is ‘the heart and soul' of Oasis reunion
Travis bassist Dougie Payne is delighted that Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs is part Oasis reunion tour because is 'the heart and soul of the whole thing'. Bonehead is the rhythm guitarist for the Oasis Live '25 concerts, joining reunited brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher as the only original members in the band – which also includes bassist Andy Bell, third guitarist Gem Archer and drummer Joey Waronker. Dougie believes the return of Bonehead – who quit Oasis in 1999 during the recording sessions for fourth studio album Standing On The Shoulder of Giants to spend more time with his family - is just as important to the success of the reunion as having Liam and Noel back together because he created the band before Noel even joined. In an interview with website Contact Music, he said: 'They've been dominating not only the summer but everybody's Instagram feeds, from what I've seen it sounds great. 'I'm delighted that Bonehead is back, I think that's great and gives it all a lovely feel to it. Bonehead is kind of the heart and soul of the whole thing. 'Liam is singing great, his voice sounds back to its best. It seems to be a very happy thing. It's good to have them back.' Travis supported Oasis on the Be Here Now tour back in 1997 and then toured across America with the Wonderwall hitmakers in 2000 after Bonehead and original bass player Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan quit and were replaced by Andy and Gem in the band. Dougie, 52, admits Travis would have loved to be have been one of the support acts on the Oasis Live '25 tour but there were never any conversations before Cast and Richard Ashcroft were confirmed. He said: 'I think every other band was trying to get on that tour! But it was all set in place. The whole thing is such a massive behemoth that it's all set in place. Before they announced anything it was this is what's going to be happening. 'Fran [Healy] was texting with Noel a little while ago and it was all very friendly and they were having a bit of a laugh in the texts.' 'We did the Be Here Now tour and then we did the American tour. We toured with those guys across the States in 2000, which was when Gem and Andy had just joined the band. That was a great tour. That was a lot of fun. On the first tour we were slightly overawed, they were the biggest pop stars on the planet then and we were kind of like, 'Wow.' We were absolutely brand new, we had just released one record. It was all impressive. On the American tour we hung out properly and it was just a good laugh." Dougie has nothing but love for Liam, 52, and Noel, 58, and remembers them being so kind to him and his bandmates - singer-and-guitarist Fran Healy, guitarist Andy Dunlop and drummer Neil Primrose - when they supported Oasis. He said: "They're the funniest people, super sweet, so funny. They were so generous and so kind to us. I love those guys.' Travis will be reuniting with another old friend this weekend, Blur's Alex James. The Why Does It Always Rain On Me? hitmakers with be performing at Alex's Big Feastival music festival held at his farm in the Cotswolds and as well as playing their own set they will be doing something special with the Blur bassist on stage, too. Dougie teased: 'There's Alex's Britpop Classical and me and Fran are going to jump in for something. So I think we've got to go out and hang out in his big barn, that should be quite fun. 'We've got a little run of festivals and Big Feastival is in the middle of that run. 'Hopefully they'll be lots of music, lots of fun and hopefully some cheese and wine as well.' The Big Feastival takes place between 22 August and 24 August. The line-up also includes Nelly Furtado, Mabel, The Wombats, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Caity Baser and Artful Dodger among others. Austin Butler can't fit into designer pants after bulking up his butt
Austin Butler can no longer squeeze his butt into his designer Celine pants since bulking up for Caught Stealing. The 34-year-old actor underwent a major body transformation to portray basketball player-turned-bartender, Hank Thompson, in the 2025 American crime thriller film, packing on 15 kilograms. He told Men's Health magazine: 'I actually have a whole section of just baseball players' asses that [director, Darren Aronofsky] would send me. 'He was like, 'Look how thick they are!'' And while he has an enviable body, he was left gutted to no longer be able to fit into the expensive pants, adding: 'I've got a whole section of Celine pants that I just can't even wear anymore.' Austin was assigned personal trainer Beth Lewis, who got Hugh Jackman beefed up to portray Marvel's Wolverine. It's quite the contrast to having to pile on the pounds to portray Elvis Presley. Austin drank microwaved ice cream and dozens of doughnuts for his Golden Globe-winning portrayal of the late King of Rock and Roll in Baz Luhrmann's 2022 biopic Elvis, after being inspired by Ryan Gosling's method for gaining weight for a role. Appearing on the Variety Awards Circuit podcast, he spilled: "I heard that Ryan Gosling, when he was going to do 'The Lovely Bones', had microwaved Häagen-Dazs and would drink it. So I started doing that." Austin, who wore a body suit for the part, enjoyed the sweet treats to start with but quickly started to feel "awful" about himself. He continued: "I would go get two dozen doughnuts and eat them all. I really started to pack on some pounds. It's fun for a week or so, and then you feel awful with yourself. "But we were planning on shooting chronologically in the beginning. That quickly went out the window, then especially with COVID. It was just impossible." Not only was the role physically demanding, but Austin also didn't get to see his family for three years while working on flick. Tiffany Haddish laughs off baby speculation
Tiffany Haddish has laughed off speculation she had a secret baby with her friend. The Girls Trip star and her friend Jason Lee set tongues wagging that they had welcome a child together when they posed with a baby and a pushchair on Instagram on August 4. The post was captioned: 'Cats out the bag.' However, the pair have now dispelled rumours they have started a family. During her guest hosting gig on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday (19.08.25), Haddish said in her opening monologue: 'Now, for some reason, people saw this and thought I had a baby. Like, like there were articles about this everywhere. 'Even my own relatives was asking if I had a secret baby, which is kind of insulting because they all are living in my house and blocking me from getting any d***.' Jason, who was among the audience members, chimed in: 'The whole world has lost their mind over this beautiful baby." Haddish said: 'Yeah, we just took a picture with a baby and then that went crazy.' The 45-year-old actress has spoken of her desire to have a child in the past, and as both she and Jason are former foster children, they highlighted that there are plenty of children looking for their forever families. After joking that the baby in the picture was her God Baby and Jason is the father, she reiterated: 'Just to be clear, I did not have a baby, but I am open to it. Wide open to it. I Even have a list of potential baby daddies." The comedienne - who was married to William Stewart from 2008 until 2013, and dated rapper Common from 2020 until 2021 - was previously quizzed on the possibility of walking down the aisle for a second time, but quipped she would have to know about a man's financial situation before she entertained the idea. Asked if she would say yes to a proposal, she told Extra: "I would say… 'What's your credit score?' Your credit score is your grown-up report card, and how responsible you are with your money is how responsible you'll probably be with my heart."
