The Traitors winner Leanne Quigley reveals the heartbreaking reason she is waiting to marry her fiancée Sophie Jones after cancer battle
Leanne Quigley has shared the heartbreaking reason that she is waiting to marry her fiancée Sophie Jones - as she insisted 'I'd marry her tomorrow'. The Traitors winner, 28, explained the couple want to wait until Sophie's hair grows back following her chemotherapy after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Sophie, who has now received the all clear, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer last year, weeks after Leanne finished filming on the BBC show. The former soldier, who was a Faithful during her time on the third series of the show, said: 'I would get married today if I could. But Soph has been going through her hair growth journey.' 'As soon as she feels comfortable and ready then we will get married. Ideally it will be the end of next year or maybe the start of 2027.' Speaking to the Mirror at the LGBTQ Awards in London, Leanne said: ' Sophie's doing great. This is the first thing she has been able to come to with me without having to wear a wig. It feels very special.' She continued by revealing their plans to marry 'close to home' as hey previously took their twin sons Harley and Hudson, two, away on holiday and it was chaos. The couple are now looking to the future following an 'utterly terrifying' experience where they didn't know if Sophie would survive. Their plans include welcoming more children together and plan to start the IVF process again to grow their family of four. She has previously mentioned her plans to use the money for further IVF rounds and her upcoming wedding to fiancée Sophie Jones. Previously speaking to MailOnline, Leanne mentioned she was awaiting the cash after being asked if she'd spent it: 'No, not quite yet, we absolutely haven't had it yet. 'So, when that time comes, I think we'll go on a nice family holiday holiday.' And on This Morning she said: 'I mentioned that I would love to have another baby, I'd love to try for IVF again and give my little boys a sibling. 'Also, We have a wedding to plan now. I got engaged back in August, which is just the best feeling. '[My boys] are just amazing and they're warriors and they don't even know it.' Speaking to MailOnline after winning The Traitors, Leanne admitted she has been eyeing up Ardross Castle in the Highlands, the one used for the show, as her wedding venue. 'We have got wedding planning to do,' she told MailOnline. 'We have just started. We haven't set a date yet but yeah we can get a wedding going. 'I actually looked at the castle because I didn't realise you could get married there. That would be so iconic. I would actually love that.' Couples looking for the perfect wedding venue are actually able to hire the Great Hall at Ardross Castle, which can cater for up to 130 guests. Leanne added that she would 'absolutely' be inviting the cast of the BBC show to her big day, when it rolls around. She quipped: 'I mean, the most incredible people I've ever met in my life, and the genuine love that we all have for each other. 'We've all had a few meet ups since leaving the castle and every time we see each other, it's just all love. It's so lovely.' She also revealed plans to use some of the money to expand her family, as she said: 'I will absolutely be trying to have another baby, not straight away, maybe in a couple of years, I think. 'My family need a little bit of a rest at the minute. But I think we'll go through and freeze our eggs, hopefully get some embryos and get them in the freezer for the future.' Leanne's win came after a very difficult six months following Sophie's secret battle with cancer - which was diagnosed just weeks after she returned from filming. Speaking to Metro, Leanne said of the ordeal: 'I would never, ever have gone away to film if Soph had cancer. We found out weeks after I got home. 'Actually, she found a lump maybe a month after, and it all happened very quickly from there. Ringing the bell now, radiotherapy to get through

BBC The Traitors releases brand new season and you can watch all 12 episodes now
A brand new series of The Traitors has just dropped on BBC iPlayer. The Traitors fans who are struggling to pass the time between the latest season of the show and the highly anticipated Celebrity version later this year will be delighted to know the BBC has just dropped a new season of the programme to make the wait more bearable. The latest season saw Leanne Quigley and Jake Brown take home the grand crash prize after a nail-biting finale was filled with brutal banishments. Since then, the BBC has confirmed the star-studded cast list for the upcoming Celebrity Traitors, which includes Charlotte Church, Alan Carr, and Jonathan Ross among the contestants. The show will air on screens this autumn but if that feels too far away then the spin-off series The Traitors NZ has just dropped on iPlayer. All 12 episodes are now available to stream while the programme airs on BBC Three. The second season of the New Zealand edition of the show sees 22 contestants descend on Claremont Manor, which sits at the foot of Mount Horrible in Timaru. The group of Kiwis compete around the roundtable in the hopes of winning up to $100k, which equates to over £44k, the Metro reports. The spin off sees UK host Claudia Winkleman's role being filled by New Zealand TV presenter Paul Henry, who also hosts the New Zealand version of The Chase, making him the local equivalent of Bradley Walsh. The new season of the psychological game show is filled with classic mind games, kicking off with a bizarre task that asks the contestants to search the ground for body parts of a doll. The inaugural season of The Traitors NZ relied on offbeat casting choices, with many contestants knowing one another before entering the Manor, to make the show stand out from its British, American and Australian editions. Anyone unsure about whether or not its their cup of tea, its difficult to make a dismal season of The Traitors when the format is fairly bulletproof. After the group of Traitors are selected by Henry in the first episode, the new season quickly moves on to the murdering and manipulation. Commenting underneath an X post announcing the new season of The Traitors NZ, fans rushed to have their say on the show. One particularly enthusiastic viewer even went as far as to brand it as the 'by far the best English speaking series of The Traitors.' Another impressed viewer echoed: "I enjoyed this season some good players and deceiving." A third penned: "This is so good!! I'm obsessed." A fourth simply stated: "Can't stop watching this!" Elsewhere in The Traitors universe, the US spin-off is set to return soon with a new cast of celebs waiting to enter the Scottish castle. Hosted by the iconic Scots presenter Alan Cumming, the season four cast has been confirmed. It includes big names like Love Island star Maura Higgins and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna. EXCLUSIVE The Traitors winner Jake Brown shares his surprise favourite for star-studded Celebrity spin-off and reveals the unlikely purchase he's made with his long-awaited prize money
The Traitors winner Jake Brown has tipped social media star Niko Omilana as his pick to win the Celebrity spin-off of the BBC show. Jake, 28, was crowned joint winner of the third series of the hit show, and was quick to share his thoughts on the star-studded lineup. Speaking to MailOnline at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend on Saturday, Jake said: 'For me it's Niko [Omilana], the YouTuber. 'If you watch his YouTube videos, he's very good at manipulating people.' Niko, 27, was unveiled as part of the latest cast for the reality show - alongside the likes of Cat Burns and Alan Carr - which previously drew in more than seven million viewers for the season finale. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Jake won the series alongside faithful Leanne Quigley, and previously revealed how their lives have been 'chaotic' since they won. The pair took home a staggering cash prize of £94,600, which was split between them. And during the interview, Jake also confirmed his prize money has finally come through after having to wait months for the series to hit screens. He added: 'I've spent some of it already, but on boring stuff! I bought a new suit. I bought new flooring for the house.' 'I've given mum and dad some money as well. But I've still got quite a lot of it, so,' Jake continued. Asked if there's anything he wants to spend the rest on, he said he wants to 'go on holidays and treat the wife.' The project manager is the first ever contestant to have cerebral palsy and bravely opened up about his 'lifelong struggle' with the movement disorder towards the end of the series. Speaking about why he chose not to tell his fellow contestants until later on, he explained: 'I think because all my life I have tried to hide it and especially when I was younger, I used to be a bit ashamed of it. 'I just wanted to be normal and it wasn't till I was older I realised I am normal. It's part of who I am, it makes me who I am. I wouldn't be me without it.' During the series the contestants were challenged to haul huge Easter Island style statues up a mountain in order to add more money to the prize pot, a task which was particularly difficult for Jake. He admitted: 'In that challenge, I was struggling with my grip and I kept dropping the statues and I just thought I shouldn't suffer in silence, and now I'm more confident. 'I think it's good to be open and not ashamed of it. I want people watching at home to think, if they have got a disability, no matter what it is, be proud of it. 'I told Alexander and it was a weight off my shoulders. The rest of the mission after that felt like a breeze, even though I was still struggling, it felt like now I've told my piece and it just felt much better.' 'I didn't wanna be that person that's like, 'by the way I've got a disability'. That's not me, I wanted to be myself. I don't want someone's first impression of me to be, "It's Jake, the guy with Cerebral palsy.'
