BBC The Traitors releases brand new season and you can watch all 12 episodes now
A brand new series of The Traitors has just dropped on BBC iPlayer.
The Traitors fans who are struggling to pass the time between the latest season of the show and the highly anticipated Celebrity version later this year will be delighted to know the BBC has just dropped a new season of the programme to make the wait more bearable. The latest season saw Leanne Quigley and Jake Brown take home the grand crash prize after a nail-biting finale was filled with brutal banishments.
Since then, the BBC has confirmed the star-studded cast list for the upcoming Celebrity Traitors, which includes Charlotte Church, Alan Carr, and Jonathan Ross among the contestants. The show will air on screens this autumn but if that feels too far away then the spin-off series The Traitors NZ has just dropped on iPlayer.
All 12 episodes are now available to stream while the programme airs on BBC Three. The second season of the New Zealand edition of the show sees 22 contestants descend on Claremont Manor, which sits at the foot of Mount Horrible in Timaru.
The group of Kiwis compete around the roundtable in the hopes of winning up to $100k, which equates to over £44k, the Metro reports.
The spin off sees UK host Claudia Winkleman's role being filled by New Zealand TV presenter Paul Henry, who also hosts the New Zealand version of The Chase, making him the local equivalent of Bradley Walsh.
The new season of the psychological game show is filled with classic mind games, kicking off with a bizarre task that asks the contestants to search the ground for body parts of a doll.
The inaugural season of The Traitors NZ relied on offbeat casting choices, with many contestants knowing one another before entering the Manor, to make the show stand out from its British, American and Australian editions.
Anyone unsure about whether or not its their cup of tea, its difficult to make a dismal season of The Traitors when the format is fairly bulletproof.
After the group of Traitors are selected by Henry in the first episode, the new season quickly moves on to the murdering and manipulation.
Commenting underneath an X post announcing the new season of The Traitors NZ, fans rushed to have their say on the show.
One particularly enthusiastic viewer even went as far as to brand it as the 'by far the best English speaking series of The Traitors.'
Another impressed viewer echoed: "I enjoyed this season some good players and deceiving."
A third penned: "This is so good!! I'm obsessed." A fourth simply stated: "Can't stop watching this!"
Elsewhere in The Traitors universe, the US spin-off is set to return soon with a new cast of celebs waiting to enter the Scottish castle.
Hosted by the iconic Scots presenter Alan Cumming, the season four cast has been confirmed.
It includes big names like Love Island star Maura Higgins and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna.
The Traitors NZ is available to stream on BBC iPlayer, with episodes airing on BBC Three from 8pm on July 16.

Dave Myers' widow says he would have 'wanted me to live my life'
Hairy Biker star Dave Myers' widow Liliana Orzac has spoken out about how she is honouring her late husband, who died last year, in a heartbreaking new interview Dave Myers' widow has shared the poignant way she is "honouring" her late husband, following his heartbreaking death last year. Liliana Orzac tied the knot with Dave in 2011 after they met while he was filming the first series of The Hairy Bikers in Romania. He subsequently became a stepfather to Liliana's two children from a previous relationship. On Tuesday (17 June), Liliana featured in a pre-recorded interview on BBC's The One Show, where she discussed her husband's passing and the book she is publishing about their love story. She disclosed her plans to get her motorbike license, something Dave had always wanted her to do, but she never felt the need to while he was alive. "Dave wanted me to take my biking license, but I never wanted to be separated from him, to have my own bike," she openly admitted. "I didn't need a license. I had Dave." "Dave would have wanted me to live my life. And I want to honour that. And these adventures that I'm going to have, are for him as well," Liliana added. She will participate in the second Dave Day, which initially took place in June 2024. The day saw thousands of bikers journey from London to Dave's home town of Barrow-in-Furness to pay tribute to the late star. Liliana organised this special event, which raised funds for NSPCC, reports Wales Online. Dave Day is set to take the UK by storm again this year, scheduled for Saturday, 21 June, and Sunday, 22 June, with its motorbike ride from London to Barrow, followed by a concert and various activities all in aid of NSPCC Childline and CancerCare NW. In an emotional interview, Liliana reflected on penning 'My Life With and Without My Hairy Biker', aiming to share what a "wonderful person" her late husband was. "My heart was broken and this book was a way of me putting my heart back together, piece by piece. By telling the world what a wonderful person he was," she expressed. Liliana further commented: "As long as I talk about him, as long as people still talk about him, as long as he is remembered, he is still alive."

EastEnders fans say the same thing as new detail about Zoe's return uncovered
EastEnders fans learnt more about Zoe Slater's return storyline during tonight's episode - but one detail from Stacey's side of the story left them scratching their heads During tonight's EastEnders, fans got to see more of Zoe Slater and learn about her reasons for returning after last night's bombshell cliff hanger. Following the reveal last night, during tonight's episode, fans learnt that Stacey had rented a flat after initially leaving Walford with her kids to stay with Lynne for a while. Last month, following her daughter Lily going to stay with her biological dad Ryan, Stacey took Arthur and Hope to stay with Lynne. During the latest episode, Stacey was heard telling Alfie that Stacey had rented the flat in London to get some space from Lynne, and had allowed a struggling Zoe to stay for free. Alfie later found out that Zoe owed dangerous loan sharks in Spain some money - although it was later revealed she had been sending the texts to herself in a bid to get money. Despite all the drama going on, fans were focused on how Stacey could afford to rent a flat by herself in London. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one questioned: "So, Stacey isn't working, she pulled the kids from school, gone off to wherever it is she's at now, and rented a furnished flat — on what money? Shouldn't she be in worse financial straits since Martin died and she's not slinging baps?" The conversation continued over on Reddit, as another fan penned: "Still not sure how we're expected to think she can afford it when Martin's dead so there's no income, Lily's with Ryan so no child support, and she hasn't worked since Martin died either." A third questioned: "Why is Stacey renting a flat? Surely she would have had to sign a lease/contract. How long is she planning to stay away? How can she afford rent for a flat when she's not working?" Elsewhere in the episode, fans were left on a huge cliffhanger after Kat tracked down Alfie's whereabouts with the help of Tommy's tracking app. Realising her husband had lied about being in the pub, a furious Kat turned up to the address he was at. She then began shouting through the letter box telling Alfie to answer the door, but with Zoe adamant she doesn't want to see her mother - how will things unfold? Although the soap aren't giving much away about Zoe's upcoming storyline, actress Michelle Ryan opened up a little on what fans can expect. "I can't say too much as there is a lot of drama to come, but Zoe is a mess," she said. She's not the girl that left Walford twenty years ago, and she's been really struggling on her own. "She has her defences up, but this week you will see that she needs help, but whether she is willing to accept it is another story." EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
