Throwback: Tom Brady took his 11-year-old son to Snoop Dogg's Super Bowl afterparty

Photo byBefore Tom Brady called it a career, before he stepped into broadcast deals and business ventures, he lived through some unforgettable NFL nights. But one story from after Super Bowl LIII keeps coming back—and it's not about touchdowns or trophies. It's about Snoop Dogg , a pole, an 11-year-old kid, and a father silently praying his son wouldn't tell mom. Yes, really. And years later, the moment still cracks Brady up. Tom Brady's postgame party story is the ultimate NFL dad moment Back in 2019, the New England Patriots had just ground out a gritty 13–3 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII—a title that gave Tom Brady his sixth championship ring. The win may not have been pretty, but the postgame celebrations? Very memorable. Speaking on an episode of his Let's Go! podcast with co-hosts Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, Tom Brady revisited one particular night that didn't go how any parent might plan. 'I actually have a funny story,' he said, launching into a tale that fans haven't stopped quoting since. 'After the game in Atlanta, we were celebrating and Snoop was there. I brought my son—he was 11 at the time—to the afterparty.' The bash was hosted at the team hotel, and Brady, fresh off a championship win, probably thought a little music and dancing wouldn't hurt. But then came the twist. 'There was a pole on stage,' he recalled. And Jack's just sitting there, eyes wide open, music blasting.' So what did Brady do? 'I leaned over and said, 'Jack, cover your eyes.'' But his son wasn't fazed. 'He goes, 'Dad, I'm good. I'm good.'' Classic. Brady laughed, recalling his inner monologue: It's 2 a.m., we're having the time of our life, but if this kid tells his mom, I'm not gonna see him for a long time Despite the moment of mild panic, the memory stuck—in the best way possible. Years later, it's still one of Brady's favorite stories. It's not a moment from a huddle or a postgame presser—but a small, hilarious, slightly chaotic slice of life that shows even football's GOAT isn't immune to awkward dad moments. 'We still talk about it,' Brady said. 'One of the best nights of my life.' Also Read: Why the Pittsburgh Steelers passed on Shedeur Sanders: Mike Tomlin's shocking draft decision explained

Shedeur Sanders calls out ‘another lie' about buying $500,000 car

In the wake of his stunning draft fall that still has more questions than answers, Shedeur Sanders is calling out 'another lie.' The fifth-round pick from Colorado, who was once considered a top-three prospect, shockingly dropped to Day 3 in April's draft with little details surrounding why. Now, a viral social media post claimed that Sanders spent his entire signing bonus and then some on a custom Rolls-Royce worth over $500,000. In a video on X that shows the mega luxury vehicle, Sanders can be heard talking on FaceTime in the background of the video, saying, 'My car get there?' Sanders has since refuted these claims. 'Another lie,' Sanders said on X. 'I'm focused on my team, not a car purchase !' Although in a previous episode of Tom Brady's 'Let's Go!' Podcast in September 2023, Sanders' father and coach Deion Sanders asked mentor Brady whether his son should have a Rolls-Royce while in college, which Brady quickly rebuffed. 'Do you think a college kid needs a Phantom? Like a Rolls-Royce,' Deion asked Brady. 3 Shedeur Sanders is seen on FaceTime as a Rolls-Royce is delivered. X, @ShedeurSanders 3 Sanders had previously talked to Tom Brady about owning a Rolls-Royce. X, @ShedeurSanders 'Nah, hey. No, it's not a Phantom, it's a Rolls-Royce Cullinan,' Shedeur, then a college junior for the Colorado Buffaloes, said while laughing. 'I think he needs to get his ass in the film room and spend as much time in there as possible, and less time in the car and more time in the film room,' Brady said on a multi-person video call with his podcast hosts. Sanders then rebutted that he had seen Brady had one, too. 'I had a few bucks in my pocket at that point,' Brady returned to Sanders. Sanders has the benefit of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) earnings while in college, which made him an estimated $6.5 million, according to On3Sports. This comes after a slew of rumors surrounded Sanders' precipitous drop in the 2025 NFL Draft that is nearly unprecedented. Reports indicated that Sanders 'did not handle the draft process well' and rubbed teams the wrong way leading up to the draft. 3 Shedeur Sanders is pictured in Browns gear. AP It had been reported that Sanders bombed his interview with the Giants after he became 'pissed' at the team for setting up errors in his interview and offensive installation. Sanders blames the perception of his father for his draft day fall, saying that '99 percent of hatred (directed at me) is toward Pops.' Sanders is now in the thick of attempting to make the Cleveland Browns' roster after being selected 144th overall. The Browns also have Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie third-round pick Dillon Gabriel on their roster. Sanders certainly has an uphill battle for playing time as he looks to make his mark at rookie camp.

What to know about Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen's kids

Tom Brady is a football legend who is also a proud father of three children. The former NFL quarterback shares two children, son Benjamin and daughter Vivian, with his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen. Brady is also the father of son John "Jack" Edward Thomas Moynahan from a previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan. At the start of 2025, Brady shared a photo of his three kids on Instagram, writing, in part, "I couldn't have imagined a better way to ring in the new year than with the loves of my life. Reflecting on last year and thinking about the year ahead, there's no better perspective than looking at these three and always trying to be better for them each day, and helping to guide them in whatever way possible." The Super Bowl-winning quarterback spoke candidly about the difficulties of parenting at the 2024 Fortune Global Forum in New York City. "[People] in the room know that being a parent is probably the hardest job all of us have, and we screw up a lot, and I've screwed up a lot as a parent," Brady admitted, according to a clip shared on X. "So, I don't want to seem like I'm some expert in parenting, because I'm certainly not that." Brady went onto to say that he focuses on simply supporting his three kids, whom he described as "amazing." "I just try to be there. I try to just be dependable and consistent for them," he said, adding that he models his support after his parents, whom he said supported him early on when he was a backup quarterback. "And honestly, whatever our kids choose, as we know, to do whatever they want to do in life, we got to support." Bündchen and Brady announced their decision to divorce in 2022, after 13 years of marriage. Since then, Bündchen -- who welcomed her third child, a son, in 2025 -- has spoken openly about co-parenting with Brady. "It's natural that [they] have different rules and then kids just adapt," Bündchen told ABC News' Robin Roberts in an interview that aired in March. "I can only control what I do. There's easier days than others, but I think the kids -- they're super smart children. They know what they can get away with." Benjamin Rein Brady was born Dec. 8, 2009. The now-teenager was seen by his dad's side throughout his legendary NFL career and appears to have inherited his dad's football instincts. On Dec. 8, 2024, Brady marked Benjamin's birthday on Instagram, writing, in part, "I'm so proud of the young man you are... You're a student, artist, athlete, musician, and teammate… but most of all you're the best brother and son anyone could ask for. You pour so much into everything you do, and it shows in the way you inspire others around you." One of the photos Brady shared on Instagram to mark Benjamin's 14th birthday in 2023 showed the teen in a football uniform with the number 12, the same number Brady wore during his NFL career. Brady has said previously on his SiriusXM show, "Let's Go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray," that he practices "throwing the ball" to Benjamin in the backyard. "He's gonna be a little beast," Brady said, adding that Benjamin chose to play tight end instead of following in his dad's footsteps as quarterback. MORE: Tom Brady shares photos with kids Benjamin and Vivian at Walt Disney World In a separate Instagram post, Bündchen noted that Benjamin, her eldest child, now stands as tall as she does, writing, "One day your baby will stand as tall as you are. And you won't be ready for it." Bündchen told People magazine last September that at Benjamin's first football game, she heard from others about his kindness. "He just started, and his first game was so nice," she said. "It was nice to go because I had all the little friends come to me and be like, 'Oh my God, I love Benny. I love Vivi. They're so nice. He helped me with this.'" Vivian Lake Brady Vivian Lake Brady was born Dec. 5, 2012. "Watching you grow and chase after your dreams are the proudest moments of my life," he wrote. "Your love, compassion, and joy fill up every room that you're in, and will always make your daddy smile. You light up my life! ... Here's to a great day filled with all the laughter and love that you deserve. I love you infinity x infinity!!! ❤️❤️❤️." John "Jack" Edward Thomas Moynahan John "Jack" Edward Thomas Moynahan Brady was born Aug. 22, 2007, to Brady and Moynahan. Brady celebrated Jack on his 17th birthday in 2024, writing on Instagram, "Happy 17th birthday to the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful 17-year-old, I know. You are truly a blessing in my life and I am so grateful to watch you mature into a young man." Throughout his childhood, he has split his time between his mom and Brady, who began dating Bündchen the same year Jack was born. Bündchen has referred to Jack as her "bonus son" and posted a tribute to him on Instagram last August to mark his 16th birthday. "I am so lucky to have you in my life and I will always be here for you no matter what! Love you so much!" she wrote then. Bündchen also described her co-parenting relationship with Moynahan as a "team," telling Vanity Fair in March, "I put myself in her shoes and I was like, 'How can I support her?' Because in the end of the day, we are team players in 'How are we going to do this so [Jack] can have the best life?'" Like his younger brother Benjamin, Jack is also an athlete, excelling at basketball, according to Brady's Instagram posts. Tom Brady's ruthless advice to Shedeur Sanders resurfaces after his Raiders snubbed QB in dramatic draft slide

Well before Shedeur Sanders slid to the fifth round of the NFL Draft, Tom Brady gave him some ruthless advice that has now resurfaced. Sanders, and his father, ex-NFL star Deion, appeared on a September 2023 edition of Brady's 'Let's Go!' podcast when the topic of cars came up at the very end. 'Tom, do you think a college kid needs a Phantom, a Rolls Royce?', Deion asked. Shedeur then clarified that he actually had a Cullinan rather than a Phantom, but it made little difference to Brady. 'I think he needs to get his a** in the film room and spend as much time in there as possible and less time in the car,' he said with a grin on his face. Deion then exclaimed 'Thank you Tom!' before the interview ended. Deion and Shedeur Sanders on Tom Brady's podcast 'Let's Go!' recently 😂😂💯 Love that Tom has been mentoring Shedeur and helping him stay focused — Tom Brady Updates (@tombradymedia) September 20, 2023 Close to two years later, Shedeur endured a nightmare NFL Draft as the one-time projected first-rounder waited until the 144th pick to hear his name called. The former Colorado passer, who reportedly flubbed several of his pre-draft interviews, was ultimately selected by the Cleveland Browns, who also selected rookie Dillon Gabriel in the third round. Following the quarterback's slide in the draft, much has been made about his approach to the process, in which he did not participate in drills at the NFL Combine. CBS college football analyst Ross Tucker also shed more light on a ' very unusual' experience with Sanders while he was in college. Sanders was meant to meet with Tucker in a production meeting last year ahead of CBS' broadcast of a Colorado-Colorado State game. But as Tucker explained on the Dan Patrick Show last week, Sanders skipped out on the meetings entirely after initially rescheduling due to an injury treatment. 'We weren't really given a reason, but we did not talk to Shedeur at the production meetings, which, as you know, starting quarterback, especially high-profile player like that, very unusual,' Tucker said, before revealing another strange aspect of the story. 'I walk out of the hotel, and there's a pickup truck in front of the hotel, and Shedeur is just sitting in the back of the pickup truck,' he recalled of the day that the meeting was rescheduled to. 'It just made me wonder,' Tucker continued. 'People asked me, NFL people asked me after that game, 'What did you think of Shedeur?' And I said, 'I didn't get to talk to him.' Maybe he's the greatest kid ever, maybe he's a bad kid. I don't know. But I told them the story, and they just kind of nodded their head.'

Tom Brady accused of sabotaging Shedeur Sanders' NFL Draft dream as Skip Bayless drops bombshell claim

Shedeur Sanders tumbled down the NFL Draft in dramatic fashion this week and the finger has now been pointed at Tom Brady. Once pegged as a top-five pick in the 2025 draft, Sanders - the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders - endured humiliation as he slid not only out of the first round, but also the second, third and fourth. The Colorado quarterback's suffering finally ended Saturday when the Cleveland Browns ultimately selected him with the 144th pick in the fifth round. But the shocking slide had many fans and analysts accusing several teams of snubbing the 23-year-old, including Brady's Las Vegas Raiders. The NFL legend, who only became a minority owner in the Raiders last October, is now under-fire as he's been accused by Skip Bayless of playing a role in Sanders' draft demise. 'It is now pretty clear Tom Brady - who mentored Shedeur - told the Raiders NOT to take Shedeur. Duly noted,' the sports analyst claimed on X during the draft process. The sports analyst took to social media to claim Brady made the Raiders snub Sanders Brady has a personal connection to Sanders, having mentored the young signal caller and trained with him back in 2020. He has also previously sung the quarterback's praises when he opened up on their relationship back in 2023. 'I see someone who has a great work ethic but wants the knowledge too,' Brady said on a past episode of the Let's Go! podcast. 'People always ask me,' he continued. 'How good do you think this guy is going to be? And I always say, it depends on who he surrounds himself with. It depends who mentors him. Because even you, [Deion Sanders], weren't a finished product at 21 or 22. I certainly wasn't. I had the right people come into my life and I was open to learning from them.' 'Naturally, he's very proactive,' Brady added. 'We had a conversation, then phone calls, then then text messages, and then him making the commitment to say "all right, this is what I want to do, I'm very serious about it." A lot of it is you want to see what their intention is too because when you see someone that's really open to learning and has a thirst for knowledge, you want to be able to support that.' However, when it came to drafting Sanders, the Raiders passed on him multiple times. Las Vegas traded with the Seattle Seahawks for quarterback Geno Smith earlier in the offseason, temporarily satisfying their needs under center. The Raiders used their first-round pick on running back Ashton Jeanty with the sixth overall. They went on to select wide receiver Jack Bech at 58th overall, Darien Porter at 68, Caleb Rodgers at 98, and Charles Grant at 99 n the second and third rounds as Sanders continued to tumble. They did eventually bring in young backups for Smith in Tommy Mellott and Cam Millet with the 213th and 215th picks. Meanwhile, Sanders was finally put out of his misery Saturday afternoon when the Browns selected the ex-Colorado star with the sixth pick of the fifth round. Months ago, Sanders was believed to be a top-three pick because the teams with those first selections - the Tennessee Titans, Browns, and New York Giants - were all in need of quarterbacks. Yet, in the weeks leading up to the Draft, there was increasing speculation that Sanders could fall down the order after reportedly giving a bad impression in meetings with multiple NFL teams.
