Britain's Got Talent fans frustrated as ITV show issues Teddy Magic update

Britain's Got Talent viewers were left unimpressed during the second live semi-final on Saturday night Britain's Got Talent viewers were left asking "what's going on" after a disappointing update on young magician Teddy Magic. The popular talent show continued on Saturday night (May 3) with its second live semi-final, with eight new acts competing for a spot in the grand final. ‌ The line-up included magician Alexandra Burgio, dance group Cheer re Mans, magician and dancer Jannick Holste, singer John Pierce, dance group Lil M's, guitarist Olly Pearson, singer Stacey Leadbeatter, and impressionist Will Burns. ‌ However, at the start of the show, hosts Ant and Dec didn't provide an update on young magician Teddy Magic after he failed to perform last week. During the first semi-final, Dec announced a "little change of plan" as Ant revealed that Teddy wasn't ready to perform. After a brief discussion with the judges, the hosts stated they would return to Teddy's act later in the show. But as the episode drew to a close, Dec announced that Teddy wouldn't be performing that night, saying: "[Teddy] won't be performing tonight but we hope to see him later on in the series," reports Belfast Live. It was expected that he might perform in another semi-final, but it was confirmed earlier this week that Teddy wasn't part of tonight's line-up. ‌ During tonight's live show, BGT viewers quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their confusion after no update was shared on the youngster, with one person writing: "No Teddy Magic tonight again? What's going on?" "Bring back Teddy Magic!" clamoured one fan, and another chimed in: "Another Teddy no show." ‌ "All I want to know is Teddy okay after last week live show drama?" a fourth fan said, while another similarly shared: "I love teddy magic he is not on the semi finals 2nd week where is he guys???" A sixth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying: "Well this is not going much better than last week as the first act didn't get on till 10 minutes in, and they still haven't told us what's going with Teddy Magic at least not really!" Elsewhere on tonight's show, Simon Cowell was given control of the coveted golden buzzer, which can send one act straight through to the final. Last week's semi-final saw dance troupe The Blackouts receive Amanda Holden's golden buzzer, while Scottish singer Vinnie McKee earned the highest number of public votes.
