Dhoom 4 BIG Update: Ranbir Kapoor Film To Be Directed By Ayan Mukerji, Shoot Starts In 2026?

Dhoom 4 Update: The Dhoom franchise has cemented its place as one of Bollywood's most thrilling and commercially successful action series. Launched in 2004 by Yash Raj Films, Dhoom brought slick action, high-speed bike chases, and stylish villains to the Indian big screen — elements that were relatively new to mainstream Bollywood at the time. With Ranbir Kapoor poised to take over the franchise for its fourth instalment, fans are excited for Dhoom 4. According to a Pinkvilla report, Aditya Chopra and writer Shridhar Raghavan will finalise the script for Dhoom 4 soon. 'Aditya Chopra has been closely involved in developing the story and screenplay of Dhoom 4 with Shridhar Raghavan. They are currently working on the story draft that's worthy of the hype around the reboot with Dhoom 4," a source told the publication. The source also mentioned that Ranbir Kapoor is equally excited to be a part of the franchise. 'Ranbir is the apt choice for Dhoom 4, and the character is also designed keeping his aura and personality in mind. The new Dhoom film is being designed keeping the global action standards in mind, and the visual palette, as also storytelling, will be very different from the already established YRF Spy Universe," the source mentioned. As per the report, the makers want to take the film on floors in April 2026. Currently, Ayan Mukerji is in talks to direct the film. With Dhoom 4 added to his kitty, Ranbir Kapoor has an interesting lineup of films ahead. Ranbir Kapoor's Upcoming Films Love & War Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Love & War is an epic saga set against a historical backdrop. Ranbir's portrayal in this film is highly anticipated, marking a significant collaboration with Bhansali, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Ramayana Part 1 (Diwali 2026) Under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir takes on the role of Lord Ram in this grand adaptation of the ancient Indian epic. The film also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Most of the shooting has been completed, with only a few scenes remaining. Ramayana Part 2 Following the anticipated success of the first part, the sequel is set to continue the saga, with Ranbir reprising his role. Filming is expected to commence in mid-2025.
