Love Island's Ekin-Su and Curtis Pritchard confirm split in awkward statement just months after show
Love Island All Stars' Ekin-Su has confirmed the rumours that she has split from Curtis Pritchard in a statement on Instagram, just three months after they finished up in third place on the ITV show. Love Island's Ekin-Su has confirmed that she has split from Curtis Pritchard just months after the pair starred on the ITV spin off series Love Island: All Stars together. Speculation has been rife among social media users that the couple had called time on their romance after they failed to post any snaps together online. Confirming the rumours, Ekin-Su said in a statement that they were both "focusing on navigating this transition". Her released statement, which has not been mirrored by Curtis, announced that they had agreed to "go [their] separate ways" and that it had been a "tough decision". No reason for their break-up was given. It added: "I wanted to share that Curtis and I have decided to go our separate ways. It's been a really tough decision, but one made with a lot of love and respect for one another. He's an incredible person and I'll always cherish the memories we made both in and out of the villa. Thank you all so much for the love and support over the past few months. "We're both focusing on navigating this transition and would really appreciate privacy during this time. Love always, Ekin-Su xX." The update comes after the couple fuelled speculation last week that their relationship was over after Curtis' solo appearance at the celeb packed Market Place St. Paul's VIP launch party, the Mirror reports. Meanwhile, Ekin also failed to mention Curtis while she was being quizzed about her love life during an interview. At the time, she replied: "Love, for me, is a deep bond, trust and being able to be completely yourself with someone... Love enables both individual development and growth together. "I find peaceful, safe and unexpected love valuable. This is exactly the definition of love for me." Ekin-Su and Curtis' split comes just weeks after winners Casey O'Gorman and Gabby Allen revealed that they had gone their separate ways. In a statement, the pair said: "After much thoughtful consideration, Gabby and Casey have decided to go their separate ways romantically. This decision was mutual, and they both remain on good terms as friends with a shared respect for each other." Of the five couples who reached the final earlier this year, only Grace Jackson and Luca Bish and Elma Pazar and Sammy Root are still thought to be together, just three months on. Omar Nyame and Catherine Agbaje split mere weeks after leaving the South African villa, with insiders claiming they never reached the "exclusive boyfriend-girlfriend stage" and that the romance had run its course. Back in March, Luca organised a romantic girlfriend 'proposal' on the beach in Dubai, assembling candles and white roses around a table for two adorned with candles and gold cutlery. Luca shared snaps of a delighted Grace kissing him in front of the display which featured a lit up neon 'sign that read Will you be my gf?' Captioning the snap, he wrote: "I'll keep this one. Thank you @fahidbcbybarbossa for bringing my vision to life so perfectly. Wouldn't have wanted to do this in any other place @visitabudhabi #AbuDhabiPartner #InAbuDhabi." Underneath, former Islander Jacques O'Neill joked: "Skipped straight to proposal nice mate." While Luca's sister Claudia wrote: "The perfect perfect addition to the family @gracexrosa."

Mark's appearance on the show comes after a tough five years in relationships. In 2020, Mark announced his divorce from ex-wife Katie. Last year, the ITV star went through another high-profile breakup, as he split from his girlfriend Hayley Palmer. Speaking exclusively to the Mirror about Mark's situation, resident sexpert Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn said: "It's difficult to be at that age, newly single and out of practice with dating for a long time. "When we start working with him more, we'll learn a lot more on his true intentions as to why he's here. Because I honestly don't know why he's here!", Dr Tara exclaimed. "He's a very established person in society. Anyone can introduce him to an eligible woman. So why are you at the agency? I would love to dig deep on that," she concluded. In 2020, Mark discovered that his wife Katie had been having an affair and was secretly seeing design engineer Scott Bate. Speaking to the Mail at the time, The Beast revealed: "When Katie first came clean to me about her boyfriend, I'd had an inkling." It was reported that the couple, who share a son together, tried to keep their marriage open, but the TV star found it too difficult and stepped back, allowing Katie's relationship with Scott to flourish. In 2023, Mark went public with his new girlfriend, TV presenter Hayley Palmer. However, the ITV quizmaster ended the relationship, just after they had celebrated their one-year anniversary. Chatting with The Sun about his unexpected split, Mark pointed to his age as the culprit, confessing: "It's me, I got old". He continued: "She's [Hayley's] a lovely lady and I was very lucky to date her for a year, and as I me, I got old. There's been no one since Hayley, I'm not saying there won't be another one. But I'm certainly not looking."
