Dwight Howard's estranged wife Amy Luciani shuts down trolls for calling her a gold digger: ‘Never asked him for single dollar…'

Reality star Amy Luciani has responded directly to the swirling backlash surrounding her conspicuous split from NBA legend Dwight Howard. Just days after news broke of her divorce filing, the musician, whose real name is Amber Rose Howard, decided to set the record straight about the accusations painting her to be chasing Howard's money. Amy says she is tired of the narrative being spun about her, and was speaking out 'one time only' to clear things up. Here's what she said. No prenup, no claims: Luciani tells her side of the story In an Instagram statement, Luciani revealed that she had asked Howard to sign a prenuptial agreement before they married, saying she wanted to protect what was his. According to her, it was Howard who declined. 'I told him I want to sign a prenupt because I believe what you worked for is yours,' she wrote, 'I'm not the type of woman to take what's not mine. I mentioned a prenupt first!' She stressed that she did not want 'half his assest' like the rumors claimed, stating 'I do not want any of his assets... Not a car, not his properties, not a business.' She also pointed out that she had never taken any money from Howard throughout their relationship. 'I til this day have never asked him for a single dollar. Not 30 cents,' she said. The 'Pay For It' rapper dismissed the 'gold digger' label outright, stating that love, not money, was the reason she married the NBA star. Alimony request, but no grab for assets While TMZ reported that Luciani's divorce filing includes a request for alimony, she's made it clear that doesn't mean she wants half of Howard's assets. Georgia law will ultimately guide how assets are split, but the rapper insists she's not out to take what isn't hers. 'These rumors do not align with my character,' she wrote, 'The value I add cannot be bought.' The couple married in January. Six months later, Luciani filed for divorce, calling the relationship 'irretrievably broken.'

How A. Duie Pyle prepared for the upcoming LTL classification shift

This story was originally published on Trucking Dive. To receive daily news and insights, subscribe to our free daily Trucking Dive newsletter. The National Motor Freight Classification changes for LTL shipments will go live July 19, 2025 and carriers such as A. Duie Pyle have been preparing for it. The industry has had ample time to adjust to the upcoming changes from the National Motor Freight Traffic Association's overhaul, as they've been working on it for several years. The changes will focus on density, so denser shipments will become cheaper while less dense ones will become more expensive. 'I believe the carriers are ready for the change to the extent they can,' John Luciani, A. Duie Pyle COO of LTL solutions, told Trucking Dive in an interview. To prepare for the upcoming changes this month from the NMFTA, Luciani said A. Duie Pyle has been very active by participating in the association's meetings and adding more dimensioners in anticipation of the classification changes. A. Duie Pyle is using the Cubiscan 1200 model. The device hangs on the ceiling, a shipment is placed into a box and the dimensioner scans and takes a picture of the freight. The picture is able to help calculate the cube of the shipments and loads the figure onto the company's ERP system, Luciani said. The Pennsylvania-headquartered company was already using these devices in its largest service centers but they did invest more in anticipation to the NMFC changes. The carrier is adding 12 more dimensioners to 22 currently in its network, Luciani told Trucking Dive. It also added second units in its larger service centers to reduce delay and travel time in its dock operations, he noted. Although not new, the company also has a research department that will aid in the upcoming changes. 'We have experts as it relates to understanding classification, the current classification system. Whether it's an item that's class 55 that has a sub item, we have a number of freight inspectors in the company that are experts in that area,' Luciani said. The members in that department handle weights and inspections. The company weighs about 85% of every outbound shipment and does dimensions to about 50% of every outbound shipment that moves in the company on a nightly basis. The impact to the industry may vary but Luciani doesn't expect any significant hangups during the first round of changes from the NMFTA. A. Duie Pyle has advised its customers that the NMFC changes are going to be a revenue-neutral event, he said. 'I don't expect a customer to tell me, 'Hey, you know, with this change, my freight bill is going to go down $40 a shipment,'' Luciani said. Or conversely, he doesn't expect to call customers and tell them their freight bills are going up $40 a shipment. 'We're a privately held, family-owned business. We have had the same family ownership all 101 years. Our pricing strategy, it's always been to charge, provide a very super competitive service, an industry leading service,' Luciani said. 'I don't expect these changes to be to be very significant, at least initially,' he added. It's A Wrap! Amy Luciani Files For Divorce From Dwight Howard After 6 Months Of Marriage

Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Rapper and former reality TV star Amy Luciani has reportedly ended her marriage to ex-NBA star Dwight Howard. According to divorce documents obtained by EurWeb on July 7, Luciani, 35, filed for divorce on July 1 in Georgia's Superior Court of Gwinnett County, officially ending her months-long union with the 39-year-old Los Angeles Lakers alum. The couple wed in a private ceremony in early February 2025, just weeks after announcing their surprising engagement in December 2024. Luciani — whose real name is Amber Rose Howard — confirmed the split on Monday, issuing an exclusive statement to The Shade Room . 'Although it is true, I am not sure how it got out to the public,' Luciani said. 'Still wrapping my head around a lot. Although I know it won't happen, I hope the public can give us grace and privacy right now.' While the filing did not specify a reason for the breakup, it did state that if Luciani can demonstrate the marriage is 'irretrievably broken,' the court would have grounds to grant the divorce. In terms of the settlement, Luciani is requesting an equitable division of all 'real and personal property' acquired during the marriage, as well as a fair split of marital assets and debts. She is also asking the court to consider awarding her alimony—whether 'periodic, lump-sum, in-kind', or a combination—on both a temporary and permanent basis. Additionally, Luciani is seeking for Howard to cover her legal fees, expenses, and court costs, according to the filing obtained by EurWeb. Notably, the femcee and social media star has also scrubbed photos of the former baller clean from her social media page. In her last post, shared June 12, the hitmaker appeared unbothered and focused as she flaunted her sculpted abs in a white bandeux top and jeans paired with tons of icy jewelry. The last image of her photo slideshow read: 'The longer you entertain what's not for you, the longer you postpone what is. Read that again.' The duo's sad ending comes almost two weeks after Howard confirmed he was legally married to the 'Bag Lady' rapper during his June 23 appearance on The Breakfast Club, attempting to clear up any rumors from nosey social media fans. 'We are— it's always some rumors. I just keep that side of my life private and keep it moving,' he told The Breakfast Club's Jess Hilarious last month. Before their divorce, Luciani had been a fierce defender of Howard, even amid his controversy with Royce Reed, a former cheerleader and TV personality, who shares a son named Braylon Howard with the NBA alum. In December 2024, Reed took to Instagram to publicly call out the former NBA star, releasing receipts and launching a dedicated page titled 'I Had A Baby By Superman.' The nine-part exposé accused Dwight Howard of being a 'deadbeat,' and detailed allegations of threats as well as physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. In response, Howard issued a cease-and-desist letter—legal action that Reed claimed hit hard financially, forcing her to launch a GoFundMe campaign in January to help cover mounting attorney fees. Despite the controversy, Amy Luciani appeared unfazed. She stood by her then-husband, posting affectionate photos of the couple on Instagram. In one image, Howard kissed her cheek as they laughed and clinked champagne glasses aboard a private jet. Her caption read, 'After all that… still Committed.' Yikes! This is a lot to unpack. Dwight Howard's wife Amy Luciani files for divorce after 6 months of marriage

Dwight Howard's whirlwind marriage to rapper and reality star Amy Luciani has come to an abrupt end. Luciani filed for divorce on July 1, 2025, just six months after they tied the knot in a private ceremony in January. Court documents cite that the marriage is 'irretrievably broken' and request equal division of marital assets and alimony. A mutual restraining order was filed one day later. The couple first went public in December 2024 with an engagement announcement on social media, followed by wedding-related posts and a trip to Thailand, which Howard hinted was their honeymoon. The relationship was largely kept out of the spotlight prior to their engagement. Luciani, born Amber Rose in Detroit, rose to fame through her music and her appearances on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. A former member of the girl group Entrance, she began her solo rap career in Atlanta, releasing her first EP Amy's World in 2023. Outside of entertainment, she is also known for her charity work supporting unhoused communities and has authored a children's book on body safety. This was Howard's most public relationship since his split from WNBA star Te'a Cooper in 2021. The situation remains developing, and neither party has publicly commented on the divorce filing.

Former NBA All-Star Dwight Howard's marriage ends in six months as wife files for divorce

In a sharp turn from their whirlwind romance, former NBA star Dwight Howard and his wife, Amber Rose Howard, known publicly as rapper and reality TV star Amy Luciani, are officially calling it quits after just half a year of marriage. Court records filed in Georgia on July 1, obtained by multiple outlets, indicate that Amy has initiated divorce proceedings. She describes their marriage as 'irretrievably broken' with 'no prospects for reconciliation.' The following day, a mutual restraining order, initially entered on January 2, was also formally submitted to the court. The rapper has requested that all marital property be split equally and is seeking alimony. A quick rise and a sudden fall Howard and Luciani announced their engagement in December 2024 with affectionate social media posts that have since been deleted. The couple married quietly on January 11, 2025. The union followed Amy Luciani's rise in the entertainment industry through Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and her 2023 album Amy's World, while the 39-year-old transitioned from the NBA to Ice Cube's BIG3 league. Though they initially kept much of their relationship private, cracks became evident as recent weeks brought stressors, including Howard's emotional tribute to his dog, who was killed in a hit-and-run. Just days later, Luciani's filing made headlines. Drama off the court Dwight Howard has remained silent on the divorce filing. However, his off-court life has been subject to growing scrutiny, most recently following a scuffle with Lance Stephenson during a BIG3 opener and his ongoing appearances in reality competition series. Luciani told The Shade Room she's still 'wrapping (her) head around a lot' and asked for privacy as the legal proceedings move forward, stating, 'Although I know it won't happen, I hope the public can give us grace and privacy right now.'
