It girl Sofia Richie Grainge reveals her beauty routine and ‘holy grail' products

Sofia Richie Grainge is an 'it' girl for a reason. From the moment her Vogue beauty secrets video dropped, fans couldn't stop watching and screenshotting. The model, mum and reigning queen of quiet luxury is not only stylish and stunning, but funny, warm, and shockingly relatable. Whether she's talking about her skincare routine, showing off her Oura Ring, or referring to her new French bob hairstyle everyone in her household now lovingly calling her 'Bob,' Sofia has a unique ability to make even high-end beauty feel approachable. And her secret is a carefully curated lineup of makeup and skincare staples that blend luxury with practicality, and yes, some of them are surprisingly affordable. Here's everything she uses, loves and can't live without, so you too can have a beauty routine like Sofia Richie Grainge. 1. Avène Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream, Amazon Australia, was $37.99, now $23.19 The ultimate French pharmacy staple, this cult-favourite cream is the base of Sofia's entire makeup look. 'It's like my holy grail,' she told Vogue. 'I always apply it under my makeup because I feel like my makeup is so pretty on top of this. The more you warm it up on your face, the glowier, more gorgeous it looks.' This skin barrier-strengthening formula is packed with soothing ingredients to calm redness, lock in hydration and prep your skin for foundation that actually looks like skin. 2. Summer Fridays Blush Butter Balm, $45, Mecca Creamy, buttery and impossibly blendable, Sofia calls this 'the perfect summer blush.' It melts into the skin and gives that barely-there flush that looks like you've just come back from a beach walk. The formula includes shea butter, cupuaçu butter and hyaluronic acid for a hydrating, long-lasting glow. 3. MERIT Shade Slick in Mapleton, $38, MERIT The lip oil she's 'so obsessed' with. Described as a warm blush tone, Mapleton is Sofia's go-to lip oil that adds hydration and a subtle hint of colour. Think: lip balm meets gloss meets skincare, in the chicest little tube. 4. Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer, $63, Lancôme With 24-hour hydration and a natural, skin-like finish, it's the secret to that polished but not overly made-up look. Sofia said: 'I find that it's silky and gives me good coverage, but it's not replacing my skin, it's just enhancing.' 'If I had to use only one makeup product, it would be concealer. ' 5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel $69.60, Amazon Australia 'I've been using this for 10 years,' Sofia revealed. With its flexible hold and pigmented finish, it keeps brows groomed all day without going crunchy. The light-reflecting pearls add natural dimension, and it comes in seven versatile shades. 6. Chanel Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow $114, Myer If Sofia's makeup was a vibe, this palette would be it. Luxe, wearable and easy to blend, the compact includes four shades in a mix of matte, satin, iridescent and metallic finishes. The packaging alone is a moment. 7. Maybelline Lash Sensational Full Fan Effect Mascara, was $24.99, now $12.49 'This is the only mascara that works for me,' Sofia said. 'Otherwise, my mascara is running down my face constantly. This stays on all day, all night, doesn't run.' With a curved brush and jet-black formula, this drugstore fave gives full, fanned-out lashes without clumping or flaking.

Merit just launched a tinted SPF that ‘feels like skincare and looks like skin'

Metro journalists select and curate the products that feature on our site. If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission – learn more After years of writing about beauty products, there's always one that boggles my mind, and that's the common sunscreen. Not only do I (and my skin) deserve one that feels good, looks good, but actually does good for my skin. But the clever folk at MERIT have just made that search a whole lot easier. Launching on May 22, The Uniform Tinted Mineral SPF 50 is MERIT's latest innovation — and it's set to become your new daily essential. Designed for effortless, everyday wear, The Uniform is more than just a sunscreen. It's a tinted mineral SPF that offers light to medium, sheer, buildable coverage with a natural, skin-like finish. Available in 15 flexible shades that correspond to MERIT's Minimalist Complexion Stick, it's made to blend seamlessly into your routine — whether you're heading to a morning meeting, grabbing a coffee, or just out and about in the city. A featherlight mineral SPF that does more than just shield your skin — it blends effortlessly with a sheer tint that melts in like second skin. Offering broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection, it's the kind of sunscreen that feels more like a treat than a chore. In fact, it's so wearable, you'll find yourself reaching for it every single day — no reminders needed. Buy on may 22 for £34 When I heard the news that MERIT was making another make-up meets skincare hybrid, I was over the mood – and couldn't wait to slap it on my face. The creamy formula blended seamlessly onto my skin and gave the most gorgeous glow! On the days I want some coverage, but not much, this has become a godsend – especially when getting ready in the heat or a rush. The formula feels silky and velvety too, and that's thanks to a plant-derived emollient that replaces traditional silicones. Better still, there's no sticky residue, no heavy finish — just smooth, breathable coverage that layers beautifully over my moisturiser and under my favourite complexion product (or on its own for a fresh, no-makeup look). What sets The Uniform apart is its mineral-based formula, which reflects UV rays rather than absorbing them. Unlike chemical sunscreens that convert UV into heat, The Uniform uses ultra-fine zinc oxide, a 100% naturally sourced active ingredient, to create a physical barrier against both UVA and UVB rays. This not only offers broad-spectrum protection but also makes it suitable for sensitive skin, as it's dermatologist-tested, non-comedogenic, and free from common irritants. What more could we really ask for from the humble skin tint with SPF, ey? The Uniform Tinted SPF has been in development for over two years and underwent more than 50 rounds of formulation to perfect its texture, tone, and performance. MERIT's The Uniform is a standout mineral sunscreen that avoids the common issue of white cast by using a unique pigment dispersion technology. More Trending It also features a plant-based SPF booster that softens the skin and ensures even pigment distribution, resulting in a natural, balanced look – not too matte or too dewy. More than just sun protection, The Uniform is a skincare-makeup hybrid designed to simplify your routine and leave you feeling polished and confident with minimal effort. So if you also want buildable coverage with sun protection and all over glow, get this into your basket pronto. Stay vigilant as today's cybercriminals use AI to launch sophisticated scams, Nancy tells women

Nancy (second right) observes a product display by an entrepreneur during the Women Empowerment Programme 2025. KUCHING (May 10): Women entrepreneurs are increasingly being targeted by sophisticated online scam syndicates that exploit artificial intelligence (AI) and digital manipulation, said Women, Family and Community Development Minister Dato Sri Nancy Shukri. She said these cybercriminals use advanced techniques, including doctored images and videos of national leaders such as the Prime Minister and Sarawak Premier, to deceive victims into believing they are being offered financial aid or lucrative investment opportunities. 'These syndicates are targeting women, especially entrepreneurs, single mothers, retirees, as well as individuals who are actively doing business or newly applying for bank loans. 'Never click on any unverified links or scan suspicious QR codes, as your money could disappear in an instant,' she said when launching the Women Empowerment Programme 2025 for the Santubong Parliament constituency, organised by the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) here today. The Santubong MP stressed the need to enhance digital literacy among women so they can navigate online platforms safely and spot potential scams. She even shared her own experience of nearly falling victim to a scam call falsely claiming her loan had been approved. 'So if we're not alert about these matters, it will become a norm. These syndicates are smart in targeting those who recently applied for loans. Without awareness, many, especially women, will get caught,' she said. To tackle this growing threat, she said the ministry will continue to collaborate with relevant agencies to provide trained speakers who can educate the public on scam prevention and legal recourse. 'This awareness is crucial, not just about technology and AI, but also about the actions to take if one becomes a victim. Otherwise, we'll only end up complaining among ourselves without knowing what steps to take next,' she said. Nancy also reminded women entrepreneurs that while courage is essential in business, so is the wisdom to assess risks carefully. 'Not all investments yield immediate returns. However, with the right knowledge and networks, they can open doors to long-term success,' she said. She highlighted various government initiatives designed to support women, including the Women Entrepreneurship Incubation Programme, One-Stop Social Support Centres, and the implementation of Gender Responsive Policies in both public and private sectors. All these initiatives, she added, require active involvement from all parties, including non-governmental organisations, the corporate sector, local communities, and the women themselves. Meanwhile, MARA Council Member Siti Ajar Yasin reiterated MARA's commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs through inclusive support initiatives. She revealed that in 2024, MARA Sarawak disbursed RM1.1 million in matching grants under four schemes – MERIT, ADAPT, BEST, and DIGITALBIZ – benefiting 610 Bumiputera entrepreneurs, including 348 women. 'As of May 2025, 153 entrepreneurs have received MARA financing amounting to RM19.5 million, with 60 of them being women who received a total of RM4.2 million in funding. 'This includes 21 women entrepreneurs who received funding under the DanaNITA Scheme amounting to RM715,000,' she added. AI entrepreneurs nancy shukri scam women
