Licensed Surveyor Training Begins in Jogulamba Gadwal to Resolve Land Disputes and Enhance Rural Employment
Gadwal: Gadwal District Collector B.M. Santosh emphasized that the introduction of licensed surveyors will not only help resolve land disputes efficiently but also create new employment opportunities in rural areas. He made these remarks on Monday while participating in a training program for licensed surveyors held at the MPDO office in the district headquarters. Addressing the gathering, the Collector highlighted the Telangana State Government's flagship initiative—Bhoobharathi Land Rights Record Act, 2025—which has been implemented to streamline the resolution of land-related issues. As part of the government's efforts to offer better services to landowners and farmers, trained and licensed surveyors are being brought into the system. Under the Bhoobharathi Act, it has become mandatory to conduct a land survey and attach the relevant map for processes such as land registration and mutation. In this regard, the government has initiated the selection and training of licensed surveyors to meet the new legal requirements. The Collector informed that 281 candidates across the district will undergo a 50-day training program starting from May 26, organized by the Department of Survey and Land Records. The training includes both theoretical sessions and fieldwork, ensuring participants gain practical skills necessary for accurate land surveys. He advised the trainees to take full advantage of the opportunity, stressing that field performance depends on a clear understanding of theoretical concepts. Daily attendance is mandatory, and there will be no holidays during the training period. A final examination will be conducted at the end of the training, and those who pass will be awarded Licensed Surveyor Certificates. Collector Santosh encouraged all participants to make the most of this opportunity, noting that the deployment of licensed surveyors will significantly reduce land disputes and provide valuable livelihood options for people in rural communities. The event was attended by Survey and Land Records Assistant Director Ram Chander, trainees, and other officials.

Andhra Pradesh government exempts village secretariat staff from transfers schedule
1 2 3 Vijayawada: In view of the ongoing process to restructure the village/ward secretariats, the state govt has decided to exempt the employees of ward/village secretariats from the transfers' schedule. The govt has decided to issue a separate GO to allow the transfers of secretariat employees after the completion of the rationalisation of the staffers at the field level. Minister for village and ward secretariats and social welfare, Dr Balaveeranjaneya Swamy, has assured that no employee working in village and ward secretariats will be removed even after the reforms were implemented. "We have taken up the restructuring of the ward/village secretariats in order to extend public services more effectively. In fact, we wanted to reduce the workload on the staffers with the rationalization," said Swamy. He said that chief minister Chandrababu Naidu wanted that all the public services should be delivered in real-time and hence the staffers at village/ward secretariats should gear up themselves to the vision of the chief minister. The govt recently categorised the village/ward secretariats into three groups—A,B,C—and taken up the adjustment of staff accordingly. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like [부산 한정] 빠진 치아 1개도 10개도 33만원에 임플란트 해드려요! 플란치과 더 알아보기 Undo Secretariats in villages with a population of 2,500 will have 6 staff members, those with a population of 2,500–3,000 will have 7, and those with a population above 3,000 will have 8 staff members. Additionally, a cluster system will be followed for the effective implementation of the govt schemes. A study carried out by the govt found that some secretariats have up to 10 staff members, others are operating with only three or four. This resulted in uneven workload—high pressure in some places and insufficient work in others. To address these issues, the govt initiated measures to ensure all staff are fully engaged, thereby enabling better and timely services to the public in real-time. The state govt had also decided to introduce a three-tier system to synchronise the village/ward secretariats with mandal and ZP administration. "We have decided to establish planning boards at the district, mandal, and assembly constituency levels. A senior district official will head the district level planning team, while MPDO will lead the mandal team. Similarly, a senior officer will head the team at constituency level. A designated team will be appointed to continuously monitor the performance of village and ward secretariats," said Dr Swamy. The state govt has decided to exempt employees of village and ward secretariats from the current transfer schedule as part of an ongoing restructuring process. A separate Government Order (GO) will be issued to facilitate transfers of secretariat employees after the rationalization of staff at the field level is completed. Minister for Village and Ward Secretariats and Social Welfare, Dr. Balaveeranjaneya Swamy, assured that no employee working in village and ward secretariats will be removed, even after the reforms are implemented. The restructuring aims to enhance the delivery of public services by optimizing the workload of staff members. The govt has categorized village and ward secretariats into three groups based on population: those with a population of up to 2,500 will have six staff members, those with a population between 2,500 and 3,000 will have seven, and those with a population above 3,000 will have eight. A cluster system will be implemented to ensure effective execution of govt schemes. The decision to restructure comes after a govt study revealed significant disparities in staffing levels across secretariats, resulting in uneven workloads. By ensuring all staff members are fully engaged, the govt aims to provide better and more timely services to the public. Furthermore, the govt plans to introduce a three-tier system to synchronize village and ward secretariats with mandal and Zilla Parishad (ZP) administration. Planning boards will be established at the district, mandal, and assembly constituency levels, each headed by senior officials. A dedicated team will be appointed to continuously monitor the performance of village and ward secretariats. The minister emphasized that the chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, wants all public services to be delivered in real-time, and staff members at village and ward secretariats need to adapt to this vision.

Welfare assistant suspended over bribery charges
Madanapalle (Annamayya district): DistrictCollector Sridhar Chamakuri has suspended D Dwarakanath Naidu, a Welfare Assistant at Kolla Bailu-1 village secretariat in Madanapalle mandal, following allegations of bribery and fraud linked to a fake government loan scheme. The action was taken after a complaint was lodged by residents Reddappa and Harish of Kurparthi village, Valmikipuram mandal, during the Public Grievance Redressal System programme on April 28. The complainants accused Naidu of taking Rs.30,000 in cash and another Rs.49,000 through PhonePe, promising to arrange a Rs.6 lakh loan under the Pradhan Mantri Yojana scheme. They alleged that he also issued them forged ID cards and fabricated loan sanction letters. Acting on the complaint, Collector Sridhar ordered a preliminary investigation by the Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) of Madanapalle. The inquiry confirmed the charges, leading to Naidu's immediate suspension on Wednesday. The MPDO has been asked to submit a detailed report to the District Social Welfare Officer. Meanwhile, the Assistant Social Welfare Officer has been instructed to formally record the suspension in Naidu's service register. The suspended employee has also been barred from leaving the village without prior permission.
