PM urges people to choose India-made goods

Dahod: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on the people of the country to start using goods that are made in India. Addressing a gathering in Dahod, he said that even on Ganesh Chaturthi, a Ganpati idol with small eyes made abroad was used instead of a Ganpati made in our country. The PM was in Dahod to begin work on or inaugurate a series of projects, worth Rs 24,000 crore, including the inauguration of a railway electric locomotive unit built with an investment of Rs 21,000 crore. The PM reached Dahod after holding a roadshow in Vadodara. The Valsad-Dahod Intercity Express was also flagged off on the occasion. This was the PM's first visit to the state after Operation Sindoor . Speaking in Dahod, Modi lauded how the country was manufacturing not only for its own needs but for exports too. He said that the country was exporting smartphones, cars, toys, arms and medicines today. He noted how the country, which was once importing equipment for railways, was now contributing to the development of technology, manufacturing and exporting goods related to railways and metros. He added that Dahod was an example of these developments. Modi said made-in-India goods are making waves around the world and called on the gathering to use things made in our country and give up foreign goods. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Tukarkan Bitcoin dan Ethereum - Tanpa Dompet Diperlukan! IC Markets MULAI SEKARANG Undo "Shouldn't we stop using foreign goods in our homes?" he asked. He urged the people to reply loudly and wave the tricolour while doing so. When the audience agreed with him, Modi said that they should keep in mind that they were saying this under the shadow of the tricolour. Modi said that on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, we brought 'Ganpati idols with small eyes'. "We get not our Ganpati, but foreign Ganpati. When Holi or Diwali come, we buy crackers and pichkaris made abroad," he said. Notably, former defence minister late Manohar Parrikar once said that the eyes of Ganpati idols made in China were narrower. Modi asked the audience if they shouldn't ensure that people from the country earned money. "Isn't this pledge (of using goods made in India) needed from all Indians if the country wants to progress?" the PM said. On Operation Sindoor, Modi said that after what the terrorists did in Pahalgam, could India have kept quiet? "Could Modi have kept quiet? Whoever erases sindoor from the foreheads of our sisters will be erased," Modi said. He added that the operation was not merely a military operation but an expression of the values and emotions of people. "They had challenged 140 crore Indians, and he (Modi) did what the country had given him the responsibility for," the PM said. He added that for what the terrorists did on April 22, they were turned to dust in 22 minutes. Referring to Pakistan, Modi said that the only aim of the country born after partition was to have enmity with India and harm India. Pocso-accused woman teacher granted bail

Surat: A Surat court on Monday granted bail — with certain conditions — to the 23-year-old woman teacher who is accused of offences under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. During the hearing of the bail plea, the teacher's advocate, Vaajid Shaikh, argued that she had been wrongly accused as the sections pertaining to 'penetrative sex' were incorrectly invoked by police. He said that a woman cannot carry out penetrative assault on a male. Shaikh also mentioned discrepancies in the victim's age, as the FIR and investigation state the victim's age as 11 and 13 respectively. Shaikh argued: "Pocso Sections 4, 6, 8 and 12 were wrongly invoked in the case, as a woman cannot perpetrate penetrative assault on a male. Only a male can penetrate. Thus, these sections are not relevant to my female client. Police have made a serious mistake in the FIR in this regard." As the accused went for an abortion, it was also argued that she is having a stressful time. "After the abortion, the accused can be subject to mental and emotional shock. Due to the emotional setback, she may go into depression or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The age of the victim was shown as 11 years at the time of the FIR, while during the investigation, it was revealed he had crossed 13 years. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Tukarkan Bitcoin dan Ethereum - Tanpa Dompet Diperlukan! IC Markets MULAI SEKARANG Undo This raises doubts about the victim's maturity. " On the victim's side, the public prosecutor opposed bail and argued: "The accused gave tuitions to the victim and sexually exploited him when no one was at her home. She abducted him on April 25 and stayed with him at hotels and cities where she had physical relations with the victim. As the victim's future has been adversely affected by this incident, it is possible that the accused will not be afraid of the law if granted bail. It is possible that she may target another child in the future. She may also tamper with the evidence. So, she should not be granted bail." After hearing both sides, the court observed: "The probe related to the crime is near an end. As the abortion is completed and evidence related to that has also been collected, there is not much recovery or discovery left in the case. As the trial may take a long time to be completed, it seems appropriate to grant the accused bail." The court laid down certain conditions while granting bail.

Laughter Chefs 2: Ankita Lokhande makes Kashmera Shah and Krushna remarry as they celebrate latter's birthday; says 'yeh meri shaadi hai ki macchi market'

Laughter Chefs 2 has been entertaining fans with their comic timing amid their culinary skills. This season, Karan Kundrra has surprised the viewers by making amazing dishes and winning a streak of stars. With the upcoming episode of the show, the cast will celebrate Krushna Abhishek's birthday on set. Krushna's favourite bhauji, aka Ankita Lokhande , gives the best surprise to the actor by making Krushna and Kashmera remarry on the set. They prepare for the quick sehra and mala and all of them participate in this hilarious wedding ceremony. As Krushna and Kashmera perform the jaimala ritual, Abhishek Kumar steals his shoes and all the girls chase him. Looking at the madhouse, Krushna says, 'yeh meri shaadi hai ki macchi market.' Sudesh Lehri makes the situation more hilarious by offering his shoes to Krushna. This wedding is surely going to be unmissable. Krushna even cuts a delicious cake with the cast celebrating his birthday. This even marks yet another milestone on the show as Laughter Chefs completes a year of entertaining their fans. Earlier in the show, Munawar Faruqui entered as a guest to fill in for Elvish Yadav. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Tukarkan Bitcoin dan Ethereum - Tanpa Dompet Diperlukan! IC Markets MULAI SEKARANG Undo Karan and Munawar set the competition high as they earned a star together. He shared, "Coming back to Laughter Chefs is like walking into a kitchen where no one knows what they're doing—but everyone's doing it with full confidence and not judging each other for it. Most of the celebrity contestants are folks I know very well from my Bigg Boss days—we've fought over ration and tasks. So, watching them now scramble to prepare food is honestly poetic justice. It's like a reunion, but instead of nominations, we're dishing out dishes, disasters and laughter. The kitchen is uncharted territory for me… but that's what makes it so much fun. I get to throw in my punchlines while my cooking partner Karan Kundrra makes up for the two of us with his cooking prowess."
