(Video) RIIZE Members Dance To DOLLA & 3P During Recent KL Concert
Over the weekend, K-pop sensations RIIZE (라이즈) made their debut performance in Malaysia, thrilling fans with their energetic performances and captivating stage presence. Of course, since it's their first time in Kuala Lumpur, the boys had something up their sleeves for their local fans. The group recently held their 'RIIZING LOUD' concert at the Idea Live Arena on 16th August 2025 (Saturday), marking their first time performing in Malaysia. As such, the group prepared a few surprises for their local fans. During the concert soundcheck segment, members Sohee (소희), Anton (앤톤) and Wonbin (원빈), a.k.a the maknae line, stunned with a sudden dance cover of 3P's Raya track, 'Syawal Berseri'. Not to be outdone, members Shotaro (쇼타로), Sungchan (성찬) and Eunseok (은석), a.k.a the hyung line, then did a cover of DOLLA's hit song, 'MWA!'. The members executed both dance challenges perfectly, showcasing their impeccable dance skills. Fancams of the dance challenges made their way online, sparking excitement amongst local netizens who were in glee over the K-pop group dancing to Malaysian songs. DOLLA member Angel also shared her reaction to the news, expressing joy that RIIZE did the 'MWA!' dance challenge. The singer also thanked the group for the dance challenge, adding that she hoped DOLLA and RIIZE could someday meet up and dance together. Many iDOLLAs also expressed pride over the Malaysian girl group's global reach, with some saying they hope to see more international groups doing the 'MWA!' dance. While in KL, RIIZE also held a private fansigning where some lucky fans got to meet them up close. The group also uploaded a short vlog of their trip, revealing that they visited the PETRONAS Twin Towers and tried some local snacks, including Mamee Monsters and Super Ring, during their stay. Malaysian fans have commented on the video, saying they're happy that the group enjoyed their time in KL. The RIIZE members are already back in Seoul, preparing for their next tour stop. However, they promised to return to Malaysia in the future, so let's hope that day comes soon. Yesterday (11th June 2025), KIIRAS (키라스) members Ling Ling (링링), Kylie (카일리), and Roah (로아) uploaded a video of them participating in the 'MWA!' dance challenge. The video has since gone viral, garnering 54.3k views overnight, and in true Malaysian spirit, DOLLA members have shown their love and support for the video. The 3 KIIRAS members showcased their skills with DOLLA's 'MWA!' challenge, shying away from their usual cute concept to a more bold look for the challenge. DOLLA members Angel and Tabby have reacted to the cover with both members reposting the video on their Twitter page with Angel's caption, 'LOVEEE! Support Ling Ling'. Netizens were clearly excited by this interaction, with some noting Ling Ling's and DOLLA's Malaysian background. Twitter user @/babybread_innie and @/gbueno_____ comment, 'KIIRAS MENDONIAAAA' and 'MENYALAHHH ORANG KLANGGG'. Here's the full story: Over the weekend, Thai singer Lego Rapeepong — or simply Lego (เลโก้) — a member of the boy group LYKN, posted a video of himself performing a dance cover of DOLLA's 'MWA!' on his TikTok channel. The artist appeared to be in a backstage restroom at the recent LOL Fanfest 2025 concert. Known for his talent as a performer and dancer, the idol executed the challenge flawlessly, looking androgynously stunning in his stage outfit. The video has since gone viral, amassing over 2 million views on TikTok, and has even earned praise from a DOLLA member. '😍😍😍💋 THANK YOU NAAAA~~~,' commented Angel under the post. Much like the previous collaboration with Mimifly, fans of both LYKN and DOLLA flooded the comments section, urging Lego to collaborate with DOLLA on a song. Or at the very least, meet up to do the 'MWA!' challenge together. This isn't the first time Lego has gone viral for his rendition of a popular track. The 19-year-old broke the internet last year with his cover performance of 'Dhoom Dhoom', originally by Thai artist Tata Young, which also serves as the theme song for the 2004 Hindi-language film 'Dhoom'. Malaysian girl group DOLLA's latest single, 'MWA!', has not only gone viral locally but has also been making waves in Brazil, thanks to its Brazilian funk-inspired sound. The group recently released the official dance practice video, and fans have been enthusiastically taking part in the 'MWA!' dance challenge on social media. Another local artist known for going viral is rapper-singer Mimifly, who has received overwhelmingly positive feedback for incorporating sign language into the choreography of her songs 'Angkat' and 'Serumpun'. It was only a matter of time before DOLLA and Mimifly met up and collaborated to break the internet. Here's what happened: Yesterday (Sunday, 18th May), DOLLA shared a video on their social media pages of themselves doing the 'MWA!' dance challenge, with none other than Mimifly. The two acts met backstage at the recent 'MeleTOP TVS' concert, held at the Miri Indoor Stadium in Sarawak. Malaysian Girl Group DOLLA Going Viral In Brazil With 'MWA!' Comeback
Malaysian girl group DOLLA recently released their comeback track, 'MWA!', evoking excitement from fans. However, the trio is also gaining lots of love from music fans in Brazil! 'MWA!' released on 9th May 2025 (Friday), is DOLLA's first comeback since Syasya's departure in 2024. The single is composed and written by all members of DOLLA, Chelsea Warner, Gaston Pong, and Roland Lim Shi Jie. Rapper Yonnyboii also participated in writing the lyrics. The song has already made waves locally, garnering over 100,000 streams on Spotify and over 400,000 views on YouTube. However, two Brazilian Twitter accounts helped spark more global interest in the girl group. The first tweet came from Nunca Pause o MV, an online portal for news of K-pop and Asian music. The portal wrote about 'MWA!' in their tweet, saying, 'Funk is taking over! Malaysian girl group DOLLA releases their single 'MWA!', featuring funk beats.' The tweet also shared that the members participated in composing the new track. The second tweet was from @/poponze, a Twitter account dedicated to celebrity and entertainment news with over 124,000 followers. In its tweet, the account shared about DOLLA's new track, saying, 'It's funk! Malaysian girl group DOLLA bets on the rhythm of Brazilian funk in their new single 'MWA!'.' The tweet has gained over 600,000 views since going live on 15th May 2025 (Thursday). The two tweets highlighted the Brazilian funk elements in the new song. According to the credits on Genius, 'MWA!' includes a sample of the song 'Catuca Catucadão' from Brazilian musician MC Neguinho Do ITR. The sample can be heard in the intro and the chorus. The song received a lot of love from Brazilian netizens, who praised the group and the use of Brazilian funk in the track. Meanwhile, Malaysian iDOLLAs are ecstatic that the girl group is gaining popularity overseas for their new single. Let's hope this brings more international love for DOLLA and their music!
