Last Updated: Vijay Deverakonda was questioned by the ED over illegal betting endorsements. Ajaz Khan's bail plea in a pornography case was rejected. Actor Vijay Deverakonda, who is enjoying the success of his new film Kingdom, has been called in by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning. This is part of an ongoing investigation into celebrity endorsements of illegal betting platforms. Vijay reached the ED office in Basheerbagh, Hyderabad, around 11 am on Wednesday. Officials are reportedly asking him about his promotional deals with betting apps and the money he received for them. A Delhi court has rejected actor Ajaz Khan's request for anticipatory bail in a case involving the alleged online sharing of pornographic content. The Tis Hazari Court refused to grant him temporary protection from arrest, stating that his custody was necessary to help investigators collect key digital evidence related to the case. Tensions flared at the Maharashtra State Film Awards on Tuesday evening after two men interrupted the event to protest the upcoming Marathi film Khalid Ka Shivaji. The protest took place just as Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was preparing to speak on stage. Malayalam actress Shwetha Menon has been named in a case filed by the Ernakulam Central Police in Kochi, following allegations that she appeared in obscene films and advertisements for commercial gain. As reported by Mathrubhumi, the complaint was filed by public activist Martin Menachery. He had initially approached the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court, which later instructed the police to act on the matter. Acting on the court's order, an FIR has now been registered against the actress. Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has expressed his support for Shah Rukh Khan amid the ongoing debate over the actor's recent National Award win for Jawan. Speaking to IANS during an event in Mumbai, Imtiaz described the recognition as a proud moment for the country. 'No, no. If the country has honoured him, it's obviously a big thing.
