Dominic and The Ladies Purse OTT release: When and where to watch Mammootty's Malayalam thriller online?
Synopsis Mammootty's Malayalam thriller Dominic and The Ladies Purse is finally set for its OTT release after over six months since hitting theatres. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon in his Malayalam debut, the film follows an ex-cop-turned-detective who takes on a simple case that unfolds into a deeper mystery. Despite a mixed critical response and delays in locking a digital partner, the film is now reportedly scheduled to stream on Amazon Prime Video. Mammootty's Dominic and The Ladies Purse to Release on OTT Dominic and The Ladies Purse follows the story of Dominic, a retired police officer turned private detective. Struggling financially, he agrees to track down the owner of a lost ladies' purse in exchange for waived rent. However, what starts as a simple task soon escalates into a complex investigation. The contents of the purse link to a cold case involving two missing persons, leading Dominic and his assistant through a trail of secrets and hidden film is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon in his Malayalam debut. Mammootty not only plays the lead role but also backed the project under his production house, Mammootty Kampany. The cast includes Gokul Suresh, Sushmita Bhat, Siddique, and Viji Venkatesh in prominent roles. Despite high expectations, the film had a lukewarm response at the box office and received mixed reviews from critics. This contributed to delays in securing a digital release. Initially, reports claimed Prime Video had acquired the film's streaming rights. Later, there was speculation that ZEE5 had obtained rights for both Dominic and The Ladies Purse and Bazooka, another Mammootty-starrer. However, no official announcements followed.A recent tweet by Franil France, known for sharing film updates, reignited interest by claiming that the movie would release on Prime Video on August 28, reported 123. The same tweet also mentioned Sony LIV as a possible additional platform, though none of this has been confirmed by the production team. While several media outlets such as 123telugu and social media updates have pointed towards Amazon Prime Video as the confirmed platform, there's still ambiguity surrounding the final details. Earlier reports had even suggested a March 27 release, which did not materialize. Nonetheless, current developments strongly indicate that Dominic and The Ladies Purse will finally arrive on Prime Video by late August 2025, offering audiences the chance to catch up on Mammootty's detective thriller from the comfort of their homes.

Arjun Ashokan and Roshan Mathew Starrer 'Chatha Pacha' Goes on Floors; Marks Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy's Malayalam Debut
The upcoming Malayalam film Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies officially began shooting on Tuesday. Touted as a WWE-inspired action-comedy entertainer, the film stars Arjun Ashokan in the lead, alongside Roshan Mathew, Marcoactor Ishan Shoukath, and Vishak Nair in pivotal roles. Set in the gritty, vibrant world of Fort Kochi, Chatha Pacha revolves around the lives of individuals who find themselves immersed in an underground WWE-style wrestling club. The film promises a high-energy narrative laced with action, comedy, and drama, under the direction of debutant filmmaker Adhvaith Nayar. One of the biggest highlights of the project is that it marks the Malayalam debut of the celebrated music composer trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, who will be composing the songs. The background score will be handled by Kishkindha Kaandamfame Mujeeb Majeed. The technical team includes cinematographer Anend C Chandran, editor Praveen Prabhakar, and action choreographer Kalai Kingson. Adhvaith Nayar also conceptualises the story, while the screenplay and dialogues are written by Sanoop Thykoodam. According to the makers, the film will also feature well-known actors from other Indian film industries, further enhancing its pan-Indian appeal. Chatha Pacha is being produced by Ritesh S Ramakrishnan and Shihan Shoukath under the Reel World Entertainment banner, with George Sebastian and Sunil Singh (from Mammootty Kampany) onboard as executive and line producers, respectively. Chatha Pacha is slated for release towards the end of the year and is expected to bring a fresh blend of action and humour to Malayalam cinema, set against the unique backdrop of underground wrestling.
