Manasi Parekh
Gohil, who bagged a
National Award
last year for her Gujarati film Kutch Express (which she produced and featured in), added another feather to her cap this year. She was amongst the 200 distinguished invitees for the
Independence Day
reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The actress, who was visibly elated after meeting President
Droupadi Murmu
and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, shared her heartfelt experience with Mumbai Mirror. She said, 'From my film Maharani getting a good response, Kutch Express being awarded 3 National Awards to being invited to the Rashtrapati Bhavan — it's been only positive vibes. I feel blessed that I was chosen as an artiste and producer to meet the President and Prime Minister. It was a moment that I will forever remember!'
Manasi, who transitioned from television to Hindi films before making a strong mark in Gujarati cinema, said her journey has been nothing short of rewarding.
'From a television actor to Bollywood films to now regional cinema, it feels great that an outsider like me has carved a path in the world of cinema,' she reflected.
On the work front, Manasi shared, "I am enjoying that lines are blurred for actors when it comes to acting in different mediums. It is all about bagging a good role, whether you act in a TV show, OTT show, film or a regional film. I am proud of my journey and feel good that I have waited for good roles. My role as producer and actress won me an invite to the Rashtrapati Bhavan."
