It is all about bagging a good role, whether you act in a TV show, OTT show, film or a regional film. I am proud of my journey and feel good that I have waited for good roles. Coolie Day 5 India Box Office Estimates: Rajinikanth's crime-drama falters on 1st Monday after record extended Kollywood opening weekend
Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and starring Rajinikanth, had a record Kollywood opening weekend of Rs 227.25 crore. Not just that, it also took a record Kollywood global opening of Rs 375 crore. While the weekend was record-breaking, the numbers were slightly under expectations, given how big the movie opened. Based on the opening day, the weekend numbers should have been close to Rs 250 crore in India and over Rs 400 crore worldwide. Coolie Falters On 1st Monday By Grossing Just Rs 12 Crore The mixed word of mouth took a toll on the Lokesh Kanagaraj movie. After the already slumping weekend trend, the movie grossed just Rs 12 crore on day 6. The numbers are 80 percent down from Independence Day Friday and that's alarming. If the movie continues to drop like this, a Rs 300 crore gross India final can be a struggle. Also, that would mean that a Rs 500 crore gross worldwide finish would become impossible, as the highest that Coolie can do at the international box office based on its current trend is USD 21 million (Rs 183 crore gross). The collections in Tamil Nadu will likely end under that of Good Bad Ugly. The collections in Kerala shall end up being half of what Jailer did in 2023. The film's exceptional Karnataka and APTS collections over the opening weekend should ensure that the film breaks even or atleast comes very close to it. The Day Wise India Gross Collections Of Coolie Are As Under Day India Gross Collections Thursday Rs 75.50 crore Friday Rs 63.25 crore Saturday Rs 47 crore Sunday Rs 41.50 crore Monday Rs 12 crore Total Rs 239.25 crore gross in 5 days Coolie Will End Up As One Of The Top 5 Highest Grossing Kollywood Movies Worldwide But The Final Result Will Be Seen As Underwhelming Coolie, despite putting up record-breaking initial collections and being a film that will surely be a part of the top 5 highest grossing Tamil movies at the worldwide box office, will be seen as an underwhelmer because the expectations were of a record grosser. The Tamil industry will have to wait for Jailer 2 or Jana Nayagan to really see its potential unleashed again.

His latest film Coolie , which was released recently, wreaks havoc at the box office. This Tamil action thriller has not only won the hearts of audiences but also set new benchmarks in the film industry in terms of earnings. Coolie , which was released on August 14, got the full benefit of the long Independence Day weekend. The film had a great opening of Rs 65 crore on the very first day. After that, the film earned Rs 54.75 crore on Friday, Rs 39.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 35 crore on Sunday, and with early numbers of Monday, i.e. day 5, the total collection of the film goes to over Rs 200 crore. Check Coolie box office collection day 5 On Mondays, the earnings of films often fall, but Rajinikanth's Coolie maintained its strong hold on its first Monday. According to the report of trade website the film has collected a net of about Rs 9.36 crore as per early estimates, leading to a total of Rs 203 crore. What's the story of Coolie? Coolie tells the story of a humble porter named Deva (Rajinikanth), who leads a quiet life running a guest house in Chennai. However, his world turns upside down when he learns about the murder of an old friend. The culprits behind the killing are a dangerous smuggler named Saiman (Nagarjuna) and his partner Dayal (Soubin Shahir), who are misusing a scientific device capable of reducing bodies to ashes within seconds. A scientist named Rajasekhar is also murdered in the process of acquiring this machine. Determined to avenge his friend's death, Deva embarks on a mission that unfolds into a gripping tale of revenge, emotion, and high-octane action. The biggest strength of the film is its powerful star cast. Rajinikanth brings Deva's character to life in his signature style, while Nagarjuna adds new dimensions to the villainous role of Saiman. Pooja Hegde and Shruti Haasan leave an impression with their small but significant roles. Aamir Khan's cameo comes as a pleasant surprise for the audience. This is the 171st film of Rajinikanth's career and it is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has previously directed many hit thrillers. The film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures. Did Saiyaara suffer due to Coolie? After completing 31 days in theatres, Saiyaara has quietly managed to carve a niche for itself at the box office despite competing with Coolie and War 2. The movie has a total collection of around Rs 324.50 crore net. After Rajinikanth and Hrithik Roshan's movies released, Saiyaara is slower down. Yet, the film has held its ground remarkably well. In the last four days (Day 28 to Day 31), Saiyaara still managed to add Rs 1.90 crore to its total Rs 20 lakh on Day 28.

War 2 Day 5 India Box Office: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani's movie crashes and burns; Adds Rs 9 crore gross on litmus Monday
War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, and starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani among others, crashed at the Indian box office on 1st Monday, grossing a mere Rs 9 crore. After an extended opening weekend of Rs 200 crore, it was hoped that the movie would hold up with collections in the vicinity of Rs 15 crore gross in India, for some sort of a low run. However, that didn't happen. The movie has dropped by over 80 percent from its Independence Day Friday of Rs 67 crore. War 2 Grosses A Meagre Rs 9 Crore On 1st Monday At The India Box Office War 2 is not in a good condition, based on it's poor Monday hold. A Rs 275 crore gross India finish also looks tough from here. The actioner had a good opportunity to make most of the 2 week open run it had before Param Sundari, but that shall not happen. The rejection is across the board. The Hindi version is looking at a net of Rs 6.50 crore (Rs 7.80 crore gross) and the Tamil and Telugu versions are going to gross a combined of Rs 1.20 crore. The Day Wise Gross India Collections Of War 2 Are Are Under Day India Gross Collections Thursday Rs 59 crore Friday Rs 67 crore Saturday Rs 38 crore Sunday Rs 36 crore Monday Rs 9 crore Total Rs 209 crore gross in 5 days War 2 Will End Up As A Rare Biggie To Actually Lose Money For The Producers War 2 will be a rare movie by a big production house in recent times, to actually lose money. Most big movies are sorted, thanks to solid non-theatrical recoveries. In this case, War 2 does have solid non-theatrical recoveries, but that's not going to be enough to take the movie beyond the line. At around Rs 500 crore gross worldwide, War 2 would have somehow recovered its money. But the movie will sadly end Rs 150 crore under the said number, to emerge a flop.
