'Mumma Is Bad Girl': 4-Yr-Old Calls Child Helpline To 'Report' Mother Over Rakhi Outfit Drama
Last Updated: A father shared a humorous Raksha Bandhan story on Reddit about his four-year-old daughter dialing the child helpline to report her mother for shouting. The post went viral. A father's humorous Raksha Bandhan morning story has left the internet in splits after he shared that his four-year-old daughter literally dialed child helpline number to 'report" her mother after she shouted at her. The Redditor, a software engineer, shared the story involving his identical twin daughters — one described as calm and sweet while the other 'hell notorious." On the morning of Raksha Bandhan, as the family rushed to get ready, his wife was handling the more mischievous twin, who had already started throwing a tantrum over her outfit. Frustrated and running late, the mother raised her voice, which led the little girl to burst into tears and run to her father. As he helped dress her, she grabbed his phone, held it up to her mother, and warned, 'Shout again and I'll call 1098 (child helpline number)." 'My kid called the child helpline on my wife," the caption of the post reads. According to the Reddit post, the couple had taught their daughters about the child helpline number for emergencies. Though the girl didn't fully understand its purpose, she knew it was important — and she was ready to use it. 'Papa, please gimme phone, please. I gave her my phone. And then she started showing it to her mom and giving her warnings," the post reads. A few minutes later, she quietly went to another room and actually called the number. 'She started showing the phone to her mom and giving warnings," the father wrote. A few minutes later, the girl quietly slipped into another room and actually dialed the number. When the helpline counsellor picked up, the little one began with, 'Mumma is a bad girl, she shouted at me." When asked the reason for shouting, she explained, 'Because I didn't like the clothes she bought for me, so I didn't want to wear them." The kid added, 'I am in HER home, and Papa dressed me in my favourite clothes which my mum didn't want." Eventually, she hung up and returned to her parents to announce, 'I have called the police and they are coming home." Reddit users couldn't get enough and the post went viral. One of the users, @Direct_Host__, commented, '4 year olds are becoming smart these days, I would have been convinced with a toffee back then." 'Can I call retroactively against my parents? I am in my middle age now," joked another user @shiviam. The story is a heartwarming reminder of how children often interpret the world in their own clever and unexpected ways. 10 Dead, 33 Missing As Flash Floods Wreak Havoc In China's Gansu Province
Last Updated: Flash floods in China's Gansu province, killed 10 and left 33 missing. Torrential rains caused floods and landslides, disrupting services. At least 10 people lost their lives and 33 remain missing after flash floods swept through parts of China's northwestern Gansu province, Chinese state media reported on Friday. Triggered by torrential rains since Thursday, the floods and at least one landslide struck mountainous areas of Yuzhong County near Lanzhou city. China has been grappling with weeks of extreme weather since July. The East Asian monsoon has stalled over the northern and southern regions, bringing prolonged rainfall that experts attribute to climate change. The resulting floods have displaced thousands, devastated farmland, and threatened infrastructure worth billions. In response, Beijing has allocated over 1 billion yuan (approximately $139 million) in disaster relief funds for hard-hit provinces including Gansu, Guangdong, Hebei, and Inner Mongolia. 'US Uses Negotiations As Tool...': Iran's Lawmakers Want Preconditions Before Any New Talks
Last Updated: Iranian lawmakers demand firm preconditions for new US talks, citing bad faith and military ties with Israel. MP Ahmad Naderi calls for a fundamental diplomatic shift. Lawmakers in Iran have suggested that no new negotiations with the United States should take place unless firm preconditions are set, Iranian media reported. The declaration was made during an open parliamentary session on Wednesday. Referring to June's 12-day conflict between Iran and Israel, Iranian lawmakers said, 'When the US uses negotiations as a tool to deceive Iran and to cover for sudden military attacks by the Zionist regime, talks cannot continue as before." The declaration, delivered by MP Ahmad Naderi, accused Washington of acting in bad faith and coordinating militarily with Israel. It called for a 'fundamental shift" in Iran's diplomatic approach, stressing that negotiations must be reached on clear, verifiable guarantees. 'Preconditions must be established, and until they are fully met, no new negotiations should take place," the declaration read. The move reflects growing hardline pressure within Iran's political establishment, as tensions with the US and Israel remain high. The specifics of the demanded preconditions were not known immediately. About the Author Manisha Roy Location : Tehran, Iran First Published:
