Manny Khoshbin Sells One-Off McLaren Speedtail Hermès Edition to Japanese Collector

Read the full story on Modern Car Collector Real estate tycoon and supercar aficionado Manny Khoshbin has sold one of the most unique cars in his renowned garage: a one-of-one McLaren Speedtail Hermès Edition. The multi-million-dollar hypercar, crafted in collaboration with the luxury French fashion house, has been shipped to a collector in Japan following a private offer Khoshbin says he 'couldn't refuse.' The ultra-exclusive Speedtail was number 24 of just 106 units produced and was extensively customized to Khoshbin's vision. Drawing inspiration from Hermès' iconic Parisian flagship address at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the car featured bespoke brown leather trim throughout, creamy-white accents, and the kind of artisanal detail usually reserved for haute couture. Despite the visual spectacle, it wasn't enough to keep Khoshbin behind the wheel. 'It just didn't do it for me under the hood,' he said in a recent social media post. 'The V8 hybrid had some issues early on with the wireless charger. They got sorted eventually, but every time I walked past the car, it didn't get me excited.' Khoshbin, known for his discerning automotive taste and luxury lifestyle, added that the Speedtail lacked the emotional punch of other hypercars in his fleet, like his McLaren P1 or one-off Pagani Huayra—also finished with Hermès touches. Though the sale price wasn't disclosed, the custom Speedtail was initially valued north of $2.5 million. While one hypercar departs, others are surely on the way. Khoshbin still owns one of only two Bugatti Bolides in the U.S., alongside an all-white Rolls-Royce fleet and a Hermès-edition Chiron. As for the Speedtail, it's starting a new chapter in Japan, where it will join another high-end collection. 'Some cars you collect,' Khoshbin said. 'Others you connect with.' Manny Khoshbin's One-Off McLaren Speedtail Hermes Edition Sold to Buyer in Japan

Read the full story on Modern Car Collector Manny Khoshbin, the well-known California real estate mogul and luxury car collector, has parted ways with his unique McLaren Speedtail Hermes Edition, which is set to leave the United States for a new home in Japan. Delivered to Khoshbin in 2021, this exclusive hypercar, VIN 024, was personalized through a collaboration between British automaker McLaren and iconic French fashion house Hermes. It represents the highest-priced and arguably the most luxurious Speedtail ever produced, inspired by another famed car in Khoshbin's collection—the Hermes edition Bugatti Chiron. Finished in a stunning Hermes Blue, the Speedtail's exterior includes a distinct Hermes "H" logo in silver on the lower door panels, enhancing its exclusivity. Inside, the car showcases a sophisticated two-tone leather upholstery in Vintage Brown and cream, both custom-designed by Hermes craftsmen. It also includes a matching bespoke luggage set, highlighting the vehicle's emphasis on luxury and refinement. Underneath the car's sleek design is a powerful hybrid drivetrain combining gasoline and electric motors, delivering a remarkable 1,036 horsepower. The Speedtail boasts eye-watering performance figures, sprinting from zero to 186 mph in just 12.8 seconds, while its top speed reaches 250 mph. Khoshbin's decision to sell the vehicle to a Japanese collector underscores the ongoing global demand for ultra-exclusive hypercars. Though the final selling price remains undisclosed, market experts estimate the transaction could easily surpass the multi-million-dollar mark due to the vehicle's bespoke nature and rarity. The sale highlights Khoshbin's well-documented taste for unique automotive investments, demonstrating once again how collaborations between luxury fashion brands and elite automakers continue to capture the imagination—and wallets—of wealthy enthusiasts worldwide. Ford Mustang GTD Buyer Reveals the Options on the Secret Car Configurator

Unfortunately for the supercar configurator enthusiasts among us, Ford does not have a public means of speccing out its supercar-fighting Mustang GTD online. The brand has chosen to restrict that tool only to buyers approved by its own selection process, which is as close to closed-doors as online configurators get. Fortunately, though, Ford seems to have no restrictions against future owners showing the public what that exclusive tool looks like. One of those approved buyers, Manny Khoshbin, shared the configurator in a YouTube video uploaded last week. The clip reveals a few specifics about how Ford's ultimate supercharged Mustang will be built, including some of the option packages and a few of the visual customization selections available for GTD buyers. The most notable option is the previously-announced Performance Package, which is headlined by the car's DRS-style active rear wing. The package also features a painted carbon fiber splitter and diffuser, plus lightweight half-shafts and the all-important lightweight carpeting. Just six paint colors are available in the car's standard palette, but an optional paint-to-sample-style program allows significant customization. Two interior options, a primary black and a black-gray two tone, are available. An optional carbon package adds more exposed carbon fiber to the exterior, while an optional titanium package adds larger paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. The Spirit of America and Carbon Series, two special edition GTD models already announced by Ford, are separate complete packages at the end of the configurator. Khoshbin says that the Spirit of America edition is limited to 20% of productionm and has already sold out for 2025. Unlike many other configurators, Ford's GTD tool does not seem to show price changes added by specific packages and options. hat said, Ford enthusiast site Ford Authority reports that the two special editions, Spirit of America and Carbon Edition, are priced at a whopping $429,000 and $428,000, respectively. If options are an additional charge on top of that, the ultimate Mustang certainly does not come cheap. Then again, with a base price of $325,000, it's always been a long way off from the ranks of the best affordable sports cars where siblings like the Mustang Dark Horse play. Here's your chance to own this one-of-one Koenigsegg Agera RS

When you have the kind of disposable income needed to afford a Koenigsegg, you likely have the extra cash to commission a one-of-one special edition. This is the case with this one-of-one 2018 Koenigsegg Agera RS 'Phoenix," originally commissioned for well-known entrepreneur and collector Manny Khoshbin to replace his previous one-of-one Koenigsegg sets this special edition apart from the others is its fully exposed carbon fiber body, 24-carat gold accents hand-applied by Italian master craftsman Ettore Callegaro, bespoke rear wing, and a plethora of other aero parts. The cabin sports plenty of Alcantara carbon fiber trim and more gold detailing to remind you of the exterior. The dashboard also features an embroidered "Phoenix" badge in the same font as the ones on the body. Phoenix also features the optional 1-megawatt package, which increases the horsepower figure of its 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 from 1,160 to 1,341. All of those horses scream through a 7-speed automatic transmission and a custom Ryft exhaust system, announcing your presence long before anyone actually sees you. You might be drooling, and so are we, but wait until you see the price tag. This Agera RS is being offered for sale by Vegas Auto Gallery for $4,999,999, so at least it's not $5 million. That's a hefty price tag, and it's likely that whoever can afford this has a few other cars like it in their garage. Manny later sold it for $4.1 million before that owner then listed it for sale through Pagani Beverly Hills for an undisclosed price. It should be noted that Manny initially wanted $5 million for it, but the value of such a unique masterpiece has likely appreciated since one thing to own a Koenigsegg Agera RS since only 27 units were ever produced, but owning a one-of-one Agera RS is an entirely different kind of flex. As one might expect, the odometer only shows 2,794 miles, so this car has not exactly been driven as much as Christian von Koenigsegg would probably want. It's likely that Phoenix will end up in the hands of a collector, and we can only cross our fingers that they will give it the road time it deserves. After all, what's the point of buying a 1,341 hp hypercar if you don't experience that kind of power semi-frequently? Love reading Autoblog?
