Discussions addressed funding strategies for the event, underscoring the importance of partnerships with private sector entities and government institutions to ensure a globally recognised conference delivered to the highest professional standards. The meeting further endorsed coordination between the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the UAE, in its capacity as Presiding Country for the forthcoming term and represented by the National Olympic Committee, to determine the date and venue for the 38th meeting of Presidents of the GCC Olympic Committees. This meeting will be preceded by the preparatory session of the Executive Office. As part of the proceedings of the 37th meeting, The Executive Office and relevant committees were mandated to review the final report of the 3rd GCC Beach Games, hosted by the Sultanate of Oman. The report will be assessed for its technical and organisational aspects, challenges, and recommendations, with appropriate actions to follow. The meeting also approved the State of Qatar as host of the 4th GCC Sports Games in 2026 and emphasised the need for comprehensive technical and logistical support from the Gulf Olympic Committees to the host nation. It further underlined the importance of enhancing women's participation, in line with the principles of inclusivity and equality across GCC sporting competitions. The request submitted by the Kuwait Olympic Committee to host the 2nd GCC Youth Games in 2028 was also approved, with emphasis placed on strict adherence to age-related technical regulations to ensure fairness and competitive balance among participating nations. The meeting also highlighted the importance of incorporating educational and cultural programmes alongside the Games, wherever feasible, to reinforce sportsmanship and Olympic values among youth. Support for female participation was likewise reaffirmed, in keeping with the GCC's broader commitment to empowering young Gulf women in sport. The Planning, Coordination and Follow-up Committee was authorised to continue preparations for the schedule of upcoming GCC multi-sport events for the years 2029 to 2032, ensuring alignment with international and regional sports calendars. Attendees also examined ways to maximise the impact of the Unified Digital Platform for Gulf Women's Sports, with the aim of ensuring its sustained success. The meeting approved the provision of full support from the Olympic Committees of the GCC member states, enabling the platform to fulfil its objectives. Member states will provide the platform's executive committee with all necessary data related to its digital identity, along with information on sports facilities and tourism landmarks across the GCC. These will serve as key components in promoting sports tourism among platform users. The meeting further approved the organisation of the Gulf Women's Sports Hackathon as an annual or periodic initiative under the supervision of the Advisory Committee for Women's Sports. The initiative seeks to foster innovation in the sector and promote participation by multidisciplinary teams from member states. Participants will receive support in the form of training and engagement opportunities, including workshops and advisory sessions conducted during the hackathon to guide projects and encourage knowledge exchange among experts. Awards will be presented to winning entries, and viable solutions will be supported for implementation at the GCC level. The results of the hackathon will be documented, and innovative ideas disseminated through digital platforms to enhance visibility and long-term impact. Health Operations Center overview During the tour of the Health Operations Center, Khalifa Baqer, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Health, presented a comprehensive overview of progress achieved from 2022 to 2024. He noted measurable growth in patient-focused services, aligned with Dubai Health's primary value of 'Patient First'. Community Health Services: Dubai Health recorded significant growth in community healthcare services, with performance indicators improving across the board. Medicine home deliveries increased by 189% to approximately 109,000 in 2024, compared to 37,724 in 2022. Patient Transport Services: As part of efforts to enhance service quality and improve access to medical care, Dubai Health launched the Patient Transport Service to offer dedicated transportation for patients between their homes and healthcare facilities for appointments and treatments, ensuring safe and convenient access to care. The service aims to offer patients a more comfortable and dignified healthcare experience, reinforcing the principles of hospitality within the health sector. Launched just two years ago, the service has seen a strong uptake, with the number of beneficiaries rising from 862 in 2023 to 5,365 in 2024. Home Care: The medical home visits programme saw a 68% increase in visits over three years, reaching a total of 90,816 visits — up from 23,277 in 2022 to 39,114 in 2024. This reflects Dubai Health's commitment to delivering care that is accessible, consistent, and centred around patient comfort. Telemedicine: From 2022 to 2024, Dubai Health delivered 256,350 teleconsultation services, reflecting a 17.7% increase. The number of services rose from 78,969 in 2022 to 92,930 in 2024, supporting the goals of Dubai's Digital Strategy. Call Center operations: Approximately 5 million calls were professionally managed over three years, demonstrating high levels of responsiveness and operational readiness in meeting community healthcare needs. Redesigning the patient journey Dubai Health's Patient Journey Redesign Program is designed to follow the patient's care pathway from entry into the system to treatment completion, ensuring a seamless and coordinated experience across all stages of care. The initiative focuses on optimising 45 priority care pathways — covering approximately 68% of the patient population — including emergency, specialised, and preventive care journeys. Developed in direct response to community feedback and insights regarding healthcare experiences, the initiative aligns cross-disciplinary efforts and leverages data to reinforce Dubai Health's future readiness and commitment to delivering integrated, high-impact services. The volleyball competition, which will bring down the curtains on the ongoing edition on March 20, also has an array of international stars competing for top honours alongside local players this Zabeel Panthers team includes players from Belarusian champions Shakhtyor Soligorsk, while the Al Hilal team comprises of players from top Italian club, Grottazzolina, from the province of Fermo. The Al Ameed team features players from Pallavolo Padova from Padua, Italy, while two Russian teams, namely WVC Dynamo Moscow and Nova Novokuybyishevsk, have some of their top stars turning out for the Al Tadawi 1 and Tadawi 2 teams, respectively.H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed also met with several participating athletes, including people of determination competing in the cycling races. H.H.
