Agencies Maruti Suzuki mandates 6 airbags in Fronx Maruti Suzuki on Friday announced standardization of 6 Airbags in Fronx, resulting in 0.5% hike in average increased price is said to come into effect from today July 25, Thursday, Maruti Suzuki announced that Fronx has become the fastest SUV from India to clock export of 1 lakh units in just 25 months. With over 69,000 units dispatched overseas, Fronx was the number 1 exported passenger vehicle from India in FY 2025-25. Earlier this week, the company announced the introduction of 6 Airbags in XL6, raising the ex-showroom prices by 0.8%. This follows Maruti Suzuki's decision to standardize 6 Airbags in Ertiga and Baleno that came on July 16. With this decision, the company hiked the ex-showroom price of Ertiga by 1.4%, the highest among the lot, and the price of Baleno by 0.5%. In June 2025, Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 167,993 units, comprising of 121,339 units of domestic sales and 37,842 units of sold 47,947 units of passenger cars (excluding vans) that include Ertiga, Fronx, XL6, and others, brining the Q1 sales to 161, company's export volumes in FY 2024-25 exceeded 3.3 lakh units, highest ever in any financial year. Fronx, Jimny, Baleno, Swift and Dzire were the top exported models. On BSE, shares of Maruti Suzuki Ltd. traded at Rs. 12,419 per piece on Friday 13:54 PM after 1.08% decline.

SUPRA SAEINDIA 2025 gears up for Flag-Off at Buddh International Circuit
With less than 20 days to go, the 12th edition of SUPRA SAEINDIA, titled ' Maruti Suzuki Presents SUPRA SAEINDIA 2025 ', is set to take place from 13th to 16th August 2025 at the iconic Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Greater Noida. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Introduced With Six Airbags As Standard; Prices Revised
Maruti Suzuki India Limited is working on making its cars safer for the Indian market. The latest one in the list to get the safety upgrade in the form of six airbags as a standard feature is the Fronx. The change has been implemented effectively immediately. With this change in place, the prices of the SUV will see an upward revision of 0.5 per cent. This comes following the availability of the feature on XL6, Baleno, Ertiga, and more. With this update, the Fronx is now included alongside other models in the Nexa and Arena lineup, such as the Ertiga, Baleno, Alto K10, Celerio, WagonR, Eeco, Swift, Dzire, Brezza, Grand Vitara, Jimny, and Invicto, all of which now feature six airbags as a standard specification. Before the Fronx, the latest models that received this enhancement were the Ertiga, Baleno, and XL6. Earlier, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) had declared that all new passenger vehicles would be required to have six airbags as a standard feature by October 2025. Consequently, all original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in India have started making the necessary changes to their products. Before this, Maruti Suzuki had also announced that the Fronx had become the fastest vehicle in the country to reach 1 lakh export units. The SUV achieved the milestone within 25 months of launch. It is to be noted that the Fronx is manufactured in the brand's Gujarat facility and is exported to over 80 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Japan. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx made its debut in India in April 2023. By the fiscal year 2024-25, the brand had shipped more than 69,000 units of the Fronx, making it the top exported passenger vehicle in the country during that time. In addition to the Fronx, the list of the brand's most successful export models included the Jimny, Baleno, Swift, and Dzire. During this period, the company achieved its highest annual export volume ever, exceeding 3.3 lakh units, which represents a 17.5 percent rise compared to the prior fiscal year.

Maruti Suzuki XL6 gets 6 airbags as standard
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has silently updated the XL6 to now offer 6 airbags as a standard offering. Earlier, 6 airbags were only present on the higher variants, but now even the base trim gets them. As expected, the prices have received a hike. After this update, only the Fronx, S-Presso and Ignis are left to receive 6 airbags. The manufacturer has already confirmed that before the year ends, all cars will be equipped with 6 airbags.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited ('Maruti Suzuki') announced that FRONX has become the fastest SUV from India to clock export of 1 lakh units. This impressive feat was achieved in just 25 months. The model is exclusively manufactured at the Company's state-of-the-art Gujarat facility. Launched in April 2023 in India, the export of FRONX commenced to markets like Latin America, Middle East, and Africa, the same year. Speaking on the milestone, Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, 'Maruti Suzuki's capability to manufacture world-class vehicles for global markets exemplifies the true essence of 'Make in India' initiative. With over 96,000 vehicles exported in Q1 FY 2025-26, the Company's share in PV exports from India stood at an all-time high at 47%. Maruti Suzuki currently exports 17 models to nearly 100 countries. Top countries for export include South Africa, Japan and Saudi Arabia. Exports in FY 2024-25 The Company's export volumes in FY 2024-25 exceeded 3.3 lakh units, highest ever in any financial year. This marked a growth of 17.5% over the previous fiscal. FRONX, Jimny, Baleno, Swift and Dzire were the top exported models.
