Cadbury unveils new Crunchie flavour but chocolate lovers spot 'big issue'
Fans of the Cadbury Crunchie are in for a treat, as the iconic confectionery brand has just announced a new flavour that has got people excited – however, others have spotted a "problem" with it There is nothing much more exciting for chocolate lovers than a new flavour of their favourite bar. With that being said, fans of the Cadbury Crunchie are in for a treat, as the iconic confectionery brand has just announced a new team up between the Dairy Milk bar and Crunchie as part of its 'Marvellous Creations" range. Cadbury launched its 'Marvellous Creations' bars back in 2013 to "disrupt category conventions whilst remaining true to the brand's essence". The brand's ambition was to create an experience for consumers, from first sight to the last piece, mixing unexpected ingredients with Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate that's shaped in a new format. The Jelly Popping Candy variety is currently on offer and there has also previously been a Cookie Nut Crunch version in the UK, although that currently appears to not be on sale. Now, Crunchie fans get to try a version with the pair encapsulating honeycomb pieces in a Dairy Milk chocolate bar, along with cherry flavoured jellies and popping candy. The new bar was shared by popular food account NewFoodsUK on both its Instagram and Facebook pages, and although many were excited for the new flavour, others spotted a 'problem'. Many weren't impressed that the segments of the bar aren't in standard square formal, despite the 'Marvellous Creations' range being known for this. One person moaned: "Does my head in not having equal squares," while another asked: "What's wrong with square pieces?" A third chimed in: "The odd shapes are not how I like to eat chocolate, it's a tradition." While a fourth echoed: "Nope! How you supposed to snap that?!" Someone else also added: "The shapes are stupid, used to be better back in 2000s." Despite this one person retorted: "All the Marvellous Creations bars are like this, it's meant to be a fun thing." While another had a good point, quipping: "Can't be divided equally. So I would have to keep it all for myself." Despite some not a fan of the odd-shaped pieces, some were excited to try it as one person exclaimed: "Oh yes" While another noted it was "such a good combo". Some people admitted they 'already had' the bar in their area though, as one person wrote: "We've had them in Ireland for years, and the smaller version is called a Golden Crisp." Another added: "This is amazing, it's been out in Australia for a while." While a third confused person said: "This already exists though?" Other Cadbury fans called for the comeback over another Marvellous Creations flavour too – the Banana Caramel Crisp. One person wrote: "Bring back the banana one," while another echoed: "Wish they'd bring back the Banana Crisp one."

The bars contain raspberry flavoured candy chips and jelly pieces, as well as popping candy which is slathered in dream white chocolate. A Facebook user discovered the snack in her local B&M and took to an online group named Food Finds UK to reveal her discovery. According to her, the raspberry flavoured snack is on sale for just £2.99 at local B&M stores alongside packs Caramilk Crunchie bites. Fans of the sweet treats went wild in the comments section of the widely shared post, with some proclaiming that the dream bar is, in fact, a 'dream'. A second Facebook user posted: 'The original Dream bar is top tier.' Another shopping sleuth found that B&M are also selling Cadbury Dairy Milk Slices, which come in a mouthwatering shortcake biscuit flavour. Like the Dream bar, the Dairy Milk snack costs just £2.99. B&M regularly goes viral for stocking some of the UK's favourite chocolate bars, including a coconut flavour of Aero's popular bubbles bar. The store even made headlines when it began selling a limited-edition Lion Bars, which have been a perennial favourite for shoppers. As the weather heats up, B&M has unveiled an incredible garden range which is perfect for the summer. B&M's three metre sail shade is on sale for £7 and can help give you a reprieve from the intense heat. It is described as being "perfect shelter for patios, gardens, or other outdoor areas" and can be cleaned easily using a damp wipe. The shade can be attached to trees, walls, fences and posts using the ropes attached to the product. When the cool nights roll in, B&M have a solution for the cold too. The budget store is selling a mesh fire pit for just £8 which is produced by the brand Outdoor Adventure. Measuring at 42cmx42cmx34cm, the pit can be folded up and easily transported if you are heading to the beach or to a campsite. I went to B&M for a radiator cover & came out with £230 of furniture for £40 - here's how I nabbed such epic bargains Unlike many stores, which have been forced to close several of their branches, B&M has gone from strength to strength over recent years. The chain announced in 2024 that it hoped to open 90 additional shops in 2025 and 2026 as part of an ambitious expansion plan. However, B&M has had to face competition from rival discount stores which have seen a surge in popularity in recent years. The Quality Discounts group is opening a store in the busy town of Rayleigh and already has five locations in Essex towns including Halstead, Clacton and Grays.

Top discontinued products Here are our top discontinued snacks - including picks from our team... Fabulous Bakin' Boys Cupcakes Consumer reporter Emily Mee says: "It was always a good day when I spotted these in my lunch box at school. Putting a layer of chocolate on top of a vanilla cupcake is a simple idea but a genius one. I would pay good money to try these again..." Ready Salted Chipsticks Head of Consumer Tara Evans says: "Ready Salted Chipsticks. Why did they get rid of this classic flavour? Some people think ready salted is boring - but why mess with a classic? I often feel taunted when I see the salt and vinegar version in shops." Coco Pops Rocks Tooti Frooties Senior consumer reporter James Flanders says: "Tooty Frooties were a chewy blast of childhood joy. Scrapped after 50 years, they were Britain's alternative to Skittles - and in an age obsessed with nostalgia, bringing them back just makes sense. Lots of dupes can be picked up at budget supermarkets but they just don't taste the same." White Maltesers While the milk chocolate version is still going strong, White Chocolate Maltesers were pulled from shelves in 2014. Mars said it was a "difficult decision" at the time, and fans still post comments on its social media pages calling for it to come back. Heinz Toast Toppers Out of all the discontinued products, this is one of the ones we see the most calls for to come back. The creamy cans came in a variety of flavours like chicken and mushroom or cheese and ham. They were binned in 2015 after delighting shoppers for decades. Cadbury Spira Another of the regular calls we see is for the Cadbury Spira to return. The chocolate featured twin bars in each pack which were formed into a spiral shape, with six hollow tubes running through each one.

Why thousands are racing to get their hands on 'rare' Australian chocolate bar in the UK
It's not everyday an Aussie treat makes headlines overseas - but one Cadbury creation has Brits buzzing. A pair of uniquely Australian chocolate bars have landed on UK shelves, and local shoppers are scrambling to try the 'rare' chocolate that many Down Under grew up with. British bargain chain B&M has begun stocking two varieties of Cadbury's Marvellous Creations - Dream Raspberry and Cola Fizz - which are usually only found in Australia. The sweet news has sparked a frenzy among UK foodies keen to get a taste of the quirky chocolate combinations. A B&M worker had to caution Brits that not all stores will receive the bars at the same time, and smaller locations might not stock them at all. Inside the Cola Fizz bar are cola-flavoured jellies, fizzy candy chips and popping candy. The Dream bar features raspberry-flavoured candy chips, raspberry jellies and popping candy, all wrapped in creamy white chocolate. While UK supermarkets already offer the original Jelly Popping Candy Marvellous Creations, these two Aussie flavours are a rare sight - and the excitement online proves just how curious the world is about Australian confectionery. 'That's my fave chocolate bar and I love cola-flavoured things so I bet I'd love that,' one woman gushed online. 'I might do a taste test between the UK version vs the Australian version,' another added. 'That Dream bar with raspberry chunks sounds naughty,' a third said. Some even suggested the bars felt nostalgic - a taste of Aussie childhoods now being discovered abroad. Still, not everyone was convinced. 'Ok this needs to be tried! Because cola and chocolate I'm not suuurree,' one skeptical shopper wrote. 'Might get stick for this but Marvellous Creations is probably the worst thing Dairy Milk have ever come out with,' said another. 'Sweepings off the floor. Terrible idea,' one critic added. But for Australians, the sudden overseas interest is a reminder that some of our strangest sweets - the more chaotic, the better - may just be our most iconic.
