Richmond couple top leaderboard at golf club's mixed competition
A husband-and-wife duo have clinched victory in the Richmond Golf Club's mixed competition.
Steve and Barbara Willis took first place in the Val Fenn Trophy at Richmond Golf Club on Friday, July 11, topping the leaderboard with 43 points.
The mixed competition, held on a 'particularly warm evening', saw strong performances from all teams.
Sue Kipling and Andrew Napier secured second place with 42 points on countback, narrowly edging out Viv Osbourn and Martin McCardle, who also finished with 42 points.
The Willis pair were presented with the trophy by Lady Captain Mary Pettit.
