1 killed after firing at Texas Tech University campus police officers, hospitalizing 2

One person was killed after opening fire at Texas Tech University campus police early Tuesday morning, injuring two officers with "non-life-threatening" injuries. According to the TTU Police Department, officers were checking on a suspicious vehicle in a TTU parking lot located on the north side of the Jones AT&T Stadium around 12:45 a.m. on June 24. The suspect was shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to TTUPD, two Texas Tech police officers were shot and suffered "non-life-threatening injuries" and were taken to UMC via EMS. No further information was yet available, including the identity of the suspect. A current investigation is underway, led by Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes. United, Market Street pharmacies to offer MRR vaccine amid growing Texas measles cases

With measles cases growing in Texas and now with the first reported death in the state from the outbreak, local grocery pharmacies are offering MMR vaccines to the public. According to a news release from The United Family, pharmacies at United Supermarkets, Amigos and Market Street are offering the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine to children and adults.
