‘Ready Or Not 2' Set for April 2026 Release
Searchlight Pictures has set the release of 'Ready or Not 2: Here I Come' on April 10, 2026. The sequel to the 2019 slasher film will see lead star Samara Weaving and directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett return with a cast that includes Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Cronenberg and Elijah Wood. Ready Or Not 2: Sequel Adds Two Iconic New Cast Members
Fans of 2019 comedy-horror film Ready Or Not are in for a treat, as not only is there a sequel currently in the works but it also has some pretty big names at the forefront. Ready Or Not, directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, follows a bride's first night as part of her husband's family. Without giving too much away, let's just say it gets real bloody weird, real fast. Empire Magazine said at the time of release: 'Anchored by a dazzling turn by Samara Weaving, Ready Or Not brilliantly fuses thrills, satire, laughs and horror. Don't count to 100 - just go and see.' Sarah Michelle Gellar and Elijah Wood are the latest stars to be revealed as part of the sequel Ready Or Not: Here I Come's cast, alongside Samara Weaving, Kathyrn Newton, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, and David Cronenberg. Speaking to Deadline, directors Matt and Tyler said: 'We're thrilled to be returning to the world of Ready or Not with Samara, Brett, Avery and Andrew, and so excited to work with this immensely talented cast and the incredible artists across every department joining the Ready or Not family.' Matthew Greenfield, President of Searchlight Pictures added: 'With Ready or Not: Here I Come, we get to go on another ride with the amazing Samara Weaving, mix in awesome new voices, and bring audiences a fresh take that's every bit as twisted and fun as the first one.
