A week ago, it looked very much that the Scudetto was set to head south and return to Napoli for the fourth time in the club's history. That is still the likeliest destination for the championship but their 2-2 draw with Genoa at home last week has opened the door for Inter to defend their crown, their 2-0 win over Torino on the same day closing the gap to a solitary point. All of which sets up more drama on the penultimate weekend of the campaign. Advertisement On Sunday night, the league leaders travel to Parma, while at the same the Nerazzurri welcome Lazio to San Siro. At least on paper, it would seem that Inter have the harder fixture given that Parma effectively have safety secured, while Lazio are in the thick of the fight for Champions League football, although will deal with two big suspensions with captain Mattia Zaccagni and Luca Pellegrini banned. And with their narrow lead, Napoli remain big favourites to get over the line and avoid becoming the only However, their coach Antonio Conte is all too aware of how quickly things can change during the anxiety-inducing month of May in a title race. Advertisement In the three points for a win era, only the Juventus side he played for in 2000 have thrown away more than a three point lead with four games remaining - a fate he is desperate to avoid repeating as a coach. "I'll talk only if and when it happens because I've both won and lost titles on the final day," he said recently. "Those who win write the history books. The others can only read them." Quite what will be written remains very much up in the air. The biggest drama could be yet to come too and there remains a possibility that the teams end the campaign level on points. Advertisement Should that happen, we will be treated to a 39th fixture - a single game play-off to determine the destination of the title at the home of the higher-ranked side. It would only be the second time in Serie A history that this has happened - the last time being in 1964 when Bologna defeated Inter. Another play-off would be a fitting finale to a season that has been filled with twists and turns. You can be sure there are more to come too. 📸 Marco Luzzani - 2024 Getty Images

Serie A official line-ups: Lazio vs. Juventus

Juventus hope Randal Kolo Muani and Nico Gonzalez can keep them in fourth place in this head-to-head with Lazio's Taty Castellanos and Mattia Zaccagni. It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT, 18.00 CET). Advertisement You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today's three Serie A games on the Liveblog. The race for that Champions League qualifying spot is getting tighter than ever, as going into this weekend Juve, Lazio and Roma were all tied on 63 points. Bologna lost to Milan last night, so remain on 62, while the Rossoneri climb to 60 and Fiorentina with a game in hand are on 59. Elseid Hysaj is suspended, with Nuno Tavares and Patric injured, while Adam Marusic is back in the squad after a knock. Luca Pellegrini is preferred at left-back, moving Marusic to the right, with Nicoló Rovella facing his former club. Juventus are still missing Teun Koopmeiners, Lloyd Kelly, Andrea Cambiaso, Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal, Arek Milik and suspended Kenan Yildiz. Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Gatti are back in the team, but only fit for the bench. Kolo Muani therefore is again the only available centre-forward, with support from Nico Gonzalez and Weston McKennie. Advertisement January signing Alberto Costa gets a rare start at right wing-back. If two teams are level on points in Serie A, they are separated first by head-to-head record, then goal difference. It could make this result extremely important, seeing as Juve beat Lazio 1-0 in October. Midfielder Kristjan Asllani will miss the first leg of April's Coppa Italia semifinal tie between AC Milan and Inter Milan through suspension. This is confirmed by the Italian Sporting Justice, via FCInterNews. The Albanian will serve a one-match ban in the match after picking up a yellow card against Lazio on Tuesday. Inter Milan will be in the semifinals of the Coppa Italia this season. The Nerazzurri advanced to the next round with a 2-0 quarterfinal win over Lazio on Tuesday. Inter will face city rivals AC Milan in the semifinals. Therefore, the two legs of that tie will be the fourth and fifth derbies of the season. Therefore, the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal will be played on April 2nd. There will be one Inter player who's guaranteed to miss that match, however. Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani started in the quarterfinal against Lazio this week. The 22-year-old picked up a booking. He saw yellow for a late challenge on Biancocelesti captain Mattia Zaccagni in the first half. And Kristjan Asllani had also gone into the book in the round of sixteen win over Udinese. Therefore, the Albanian international will miss the first leg against Milan.
