Utilise Central, State schemes to become entrepreneurs: Andhra MP to youth
VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) on Friday urged the youth to utilise Central and State government initiatives to become entrepreneurs and announced that job melas will be held every three months in NTR district under the joint aegis of the Kesineni Foundation, AP Skill Development, and NTR Vikasa. He inaugurated a Mega Job Mela at PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science, along with TDP Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao and NTR District Collector G Lakshmisha. Around 40 companies participated, offering opportunities to candidates with qualifications ranging from SSC, ITI to Btech and PG. Collector Lakshmisha encouraged youth to seize opportunities and build successful careers. He noted that the government is prioritising job creation and also conducting job fairs at the Collectorate.

Somasila waters will be brought to Marripadu soon: Anam
Nellore: Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has said that efforts were being made to bring Somasila waters to Marripadu mandal very soon. The Minister along with Udayagiri MLA Kakarla Suresh participated in various developmental programmes being taken up at a total cost of Rs 5 crore including laying foundation for Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) works with Rs 95 lakh, construction of additional classrooms and providing infrastructure facilities with Rs 2.5 crore at Kasturibha Gandhi Girls Vidyalayam (KGGV), cold storage and products collection buildings and inauguration of 8 cement roads in at Marripadu mandal on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that as part of this initiative, the government has decided to bring 5 tmcft of Somasila water by completing Naidu Palle and Pinguru reservoirs with the aim of providing drinking water for 1 lakh families and 80,000 acres for agriculture operations in coming two years. While recalling that when he was the finance minister in united AP, it was proposed to take up the project at a cost of Rs 1,800 crore but unfortunately such proposals were dropped in the middle for various reasons including State bifurcation and negligence of rulers. The Minister said that after the formation of TDP-led coalition government in 2024 elections, it was Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu who had given his nod to the project when he brought the issue to Naidu's notice. The government is likely to release the funds very soon. The Minister has said that as part of initiative in providing jobs to unemployed youth, the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (APSDC) would conduct a Mega Job Mela on August 1 and 2 which aims to provide jobs to 1,400 people in Atmakur. He said that as many as 30 multinational companies, and 20 State-level companies will participate in the two-day event. The Minister said that job-seekers should enroll their details in the APSDC website through QR code. The Minister also inaugurated a 10-day mega free Eye Camp and Mobile Surgical Bus of Sankara Netralaya organised by Korrapati Priya couple at ZP High School. Atmakur RDO Pavani, Somasila SE Venkataramana Reddy, district horticulture officer Subbareddy, SSA APO Venkatasubbaiah and others were present.

Mega job fair in Nandyal on June 5
Nandyal: District Collector G Raja Kumari urged the unemployed youth to utilise job opportunities by actively participating in the upcoming job mela. Speaking after unveiling the Job Mela posters during the public grievance redressal programme held at the PGRS Hall in the Collectorate on Monday, she emphasized the importance of such employment drives. On the occasion, the Collector highlighted that three job melas have already been conducted in the district, benefiting a significant number of unemployed youth. She mentioned that more employment opportunities will be facilitated in the future through the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC). A Mega Job Mela is scheduled to be held on June 5 at KJR Degree College premises in Banaganapalle constituency. The event will see participation from 15 reputed private companies such as Unicharm India Pvt. Ltd, NS Instruments, Daikin, Quest Corp, Annapurna Finance Ltd, MedPlus, RBS Transmission, Zomato, Dodla Dairy, Amity Marketing, Dixon Technologies. Hetero, Axis Bank, Shirdi Sai Electricals and Amazon. Candidates who have completed 10th class, ITI, Diploma, Intermediate, Degree, (Mechanical), are eligible to participate. The Collector appealed to all unemployed youth in the district to make the most of this opportunity. Savitha releases mega job mela poster
Anantapur: A Mega Job Mela will be organised in Penukonda on May 13 at Paritala Sriramulu Degree College, Madakasira Road, from 9 am onwards. The event will be inaugurated by S Savita, the Minister of BC Welfare, Financially Backward Classes Welfare, and Handloom & Weaving Departments of Andhra Pradesh. The job fair is being conducted under the auspices of the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation and will feature approximately 50 multinational companies. Savita encouraged unemployed youth to take full advantage of the opportunity. She emphasized that the Mega Job Mela will include interviews by companies such as Tech Mahindra, EdubridgeIndia (Capgemini), Hyundai Motors, Tata Electronics, Wipro, Genpact, Flipkart, Dr Reddy's, and more. Bhupalapally: Mega Job Mela on April 27
bhupalapally: MLA Gandra Satyanarayana Rao has instructed officials to ensure that the youth attending the Mega Job Mela, scheduled to be held here on April 27, face no difficulties. He held a meeting with officials from various departments to discuss the arrangements. He mentioned that approximately 15,000 unemployed youth from all villages in the constituency are expected to attend the Job Mela. He urged all departmental officials to coordinate and make necessary arrangements to avoid any inconvenience. The MLA provided key suggestions to district officials from various departments. He stated that 7,624 unemployed individuals have already registered online. He directed officials to arrange transportation facilities for youth traveling from villages to the district headquarters, along with provisions for drinking water, buttermilk, and snacks. He also instructed the Singareni GM to set up drinking water facilities and stalls at the Pushpa Grand Convention Hall. He mentioned that 87 companies have confirmed their participation, with the possibility of more joining, and directed officials to make appropriate arrangements and set up stalls accordingly.
