Nandyal: District Collector G Raja Kumari urged the unemployed youth to utilise job opportunities by actively participating in the upcoming job mela.
Speaking after unveiling the Job Mela posters during the public grievance redressal programme held at the PGRS Hall in the Collectorate on Monday, she emphasized the importance of such employment drives. On the occasion, the Collector highlighted that three job melas have already been conducted in the district, benefiting a significant number of unemployed youth. She mentioned that more employment opportunities will be facilitated in the future through the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC). A Mega Job Mela is scheduled to be held on June 5 at KJR Degree College premises in Banaganapalle constituency. The event will see participation from 15 reputed private companies such as Unicharm India Pvt. Ltd, NS Instruments, Daikin, Quest Corp, Annapurna Finance Ltd, MedPlus, RBS Transmission, Zomato, Dodla Dairy, Amity Marketing, Dixon Technologies. Hetero, Axis Bank, Shirdi Sai Electricals and Amazon. Candidates who have completed 10th class, ITI, Diploma, Intermediate, Degree, B.Tech (Mechanical), B.Pharmacy, D.Pharmacy are eligible to participate. The Collector appealed to all unemployed youth in the district to make the most of this opportunity.

Rangareddy: Rangareddy district collector C Narayana Reddy has urged officials to ensure the timely construction of Indiramma homes approved within their operational areas, announcing that over 16,000 houses have been sanctioned across the district to date. Speaking at a recent video conference at the Collectorate concerning the implementation of the Indiramma house and Rajiv Vikasam Schemes, the Collector stated that the district administration is committed to benefiting all eligible individuals under the schemes. Consequently, all requisite measures are being implemented to ensure the prompt processing of applications. Mr Reddy instructed that grounding works for the sanctioned homes should commence immediately, ensuring their completion within a stipulated timeframe. The Collector further emphasised that the Indiramma scheme must be implemented effectively. He called for the establishment of a supervision committee in every mandal and directed that prices for materials such as sand, bricks, and crushed stone, alongside mason charges, should be determined. Elaborating on the number of beneficiaries selected under the Indiramma Housing scheme, the Collector confirmed that a total of 16,617 homes have been sanctioned for eligible individuals in the district. He noted that 839 applications remain pending for disposal, which will be cleared following scrutiny. As sand is being supplied free of charge for Indiramma Housing construction, the Collector stressed its availability for all beneficiaries. Regarding the Rajiv Vikasam scheme, Mr Reddy requested that the list of selected beneficiaries be submitted to his login. He stated that beneficiaries under this scheme should receive at least RS 1 lakh, to be disbursed in June. The video conference was attended by Project Director DRDA Rangareddy Srilatha, BC and Minority Welfare officers, among other senior officials.

Annamayya District Collector Sridhar Chamakuri on Thursday said the District Annual Credit Plan for 2025–26 envisaged a total credit outlay of ₹16,619 crore with agriculture sector earmarked with ₹12,273 crore followed by an allotment of ₹1,495 crore for industries and services. The Collector directed the bankers to ensure prompt implementation of the Annual Credit Plan for the financial year 2025–26. The Collector was addressing the bankers and officials of the agriculture and allied departments at a review meeting held at the Collectorate. Lead District Manager (LDM) Anjaneyulu apprised the Collector that the district surpassed its targets for the financial year 2024–25 by posting 131% of the overall credit disbursement target. He said that the agriculture sector received 126% of its targeted credit, while the industry and service sectors achieved their targets with 108% disbursement. The Collector highlighted the need for enhanced credit flow, primarily to the sectors of agriculture, industries, and women's self-help groups. He said that the loans to SHGs be processed timely and the digitisation be completed within the timeframe. Officials from the Reserve Bank of India, NABARD, and State Bank of India were present.
