Shia LaBeouf is a Lion at heart as he picks up groceries with wife Mia Goth
Shia LaBeouf stepped out in Pasadena this weekend looking a far cry from his former self. The one-time child star, 39, was seen picking up groceries at Erewhon with his wife Mia Goth before she heads to the UK to film her next movie. Wearing a Detroit Lions T-shirt, shorts, sandals and a mesh ball cap, Shia's hair was closely cropped hair and he sported a bushy mustache. The rare outing comes just weeks after a documentary about him allegedly being violent premiered at Cannes Film Festival and just a couple months before he is set to head to court with an ex-girlfriend. Meanwhile, Mia is set to begin filming for an upcoming Star Wars spinoff alongside Ryan Gosling. During their outing, she looked casual-chic in a white, long-sleeved top, which was cropped to show off her bare midriff, and bright yellow shorts. She sported gray sneakers teamed with a black backpack and oversize sunglasses after stopping by the upscale grocery chain. She was seen walking out with a grocery bag in hand and a bottle of green juice while her partner was walking hands-free. Shia and Mia have been in an on-again, off-again relationship since 2012 when they first met on the set of the movie Nymphomaniac: Vol. II. They got married in 2016 but briefly separated two years later before reconciling and welcoming their daughter Isabel in 2022. He first rose to Disney Channel fame for his role as Louis Stevens on the hit series Even Stevens, winning a Daytime Emmy in 2003. Afterwards, he transitioned to film and played the leading star of the hit family comedy Holes that same year. He then went on to star opposite Megan Fox in the Transformers in 2007. Shia and Mia's outing comes weeks ahead of his trial, scheduled for September, against FKA Twigs after the singer sued her ex-boyfriend in 2020. Her lawsuit against him saw him charged with assault, sexual battery and infliction of emotional distress over the course of their nearly year-long relationship due to his 'relentless abuse.' The pair had started dating after she was cast in his mostly autobiographical 2019 film Honey Boy. He and Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, dated from mid-2018 to mid-2019. He initially responded and acknowledged her charges but has since denied the allegations. Amid the scandal, he has stepped back from acting with only minor appearances sprinkled throughout the past few years. In March, one of his latest movies Salvable was released, being the third movie he has appeared in since 2020. In the past half decade, he has also made appearances in The Tax Collector and Pieces Of A Woman. In May a documentary painting him in a once again unflattering light premiered at Cannes Film Festival. First-time director Leo Lewis O'Neil's documentary, Slauson Rec, explores the experimental theater company LaBeouf previously launched in LA in 2018. The new documentary included footage of him being violent with students, drawing from several years' worth of intimate video recordings he signed off on.

Mia Goth Teases Guillermo del Toro's FRANKENSTEIN: 'People Are Going to Love How Epic it Is" — GeekTyrant
Guillermo del Toro's long-gestating Frankenstein is finally happening, and if you've been waiting for a version that honors the emotional weight and gothic grandeur of Mary Shelley's original novel, Mia Goth says you're in for something special. Goth, who plays Elizabeth Lavenza in the film, shared some insight during a red carpet chat with Entertainment Tonight at Netflix's TUDUM 2025 event. Her comments tease a film that is dark and dramatic, but also deeply human and visually massive. 'I think people are going to love how epic it is, and the scale of it, it's such a feast. But I think they will also be incredibly moved by it and maybe surprised by how much heart went into this. It's a lifelong project for Guillermo.' Del Toro's passion for Frankenstein is strong. Back in 2007, he said that he 'would kill to make' a faithful 'Miltonian tragedy' version of Shelley's novel. He's been dreaming of it for years, and now, thanks to Netflix, it's finally coming. The cast features Jacob Elordi takes on the iconic role of the monster, a transformation that left Goth floored: she says she was 'totally amazed' and 'just in awe.' Elordi is stepping into the shoes of one of horror's most misunderstood figures, and it sounds like he's doing so with style. Meanwhile, Oscar Isaac plays Victor Frankenstein, and Christoph Waltz appears in an as-yet-unnamed but reportedly key role. While Frankenstein has been adapted countless times over the last century, from Karloff's legendary performance to more stylized or sci-fi-heavy interpretations, this version promises a return to the emotional and philosophical core of Shelley's 1818 novel. Goth's comments on the film's emphasis on heart, is what separates Del Toro's monster tales from the rest… his creatures are rarely just creatures. They're metaphors, they're misunderstood, and they're always more than they appear. Frankenstein is set to premiere on Netflix in November 2025, and I'm incredibly excited about seeing Del Toro's vision for this story.

Ryan Gosling's Nemesis In 'Star Wars' Film Named; Chad Stahelski Discusses 'John Wick: Chapter 5' Challenges
After months of waiting, we finally have the latest tea on two of the hottest movie franchises and their upcoming sequels. Here, we'll be discussing the newest faces that will be joining the projects, as well as development woes that the filmmakers are currently facing in order to bring these films to life. It's Ryan Gosling Versus Mia Goth In Upcoming 'Star Wars: Starfighter' Ever since we reported on the possibility of Ryan Gosling joining the biggest sci-fi franchise of all time, people have been clamouring for additional information. When the news was first reported, many were first interested in what role the beloved movie star would play. Many have speculated that he might be a Jedi, while others tossed him into the lot of bounty hunters, but nothing was substantiated until now. After almost half a year of waiting, we've finally gotten an update on not only who he will be, but who he is against. Believe it or not, one of the main actors to join Ryan Gosling in this epic adventure is none other than Mia Goth, known for her breakout role as Sara Simms in Luca Guadagnino's 'Suspiria' remake back in 2018. However, she's not here to help save the day — far from it — as she has been confirmed to be the main antagonist for Shawn Levy's 'Star Wars: Starfighter'. Despite rumours running amok that Mikey Madison was supposed to be the big bad of the series, following an offer from the studio, it was Goth who ultimately won out and will be cruising along the stars. But how does she fit in and how will her and Gosling's paths collide? Well, we don't know the exact details, but it has been reported by The Hollywood Reporter that the story will follow Gosling, who is trying to protect a young child from evil pursuers, whom Goth has thrown down her lot with. As to the 'hows' or 'whys' or if it will be like 'The Mandalorian' series, that has yet to be confirmed, with Lucasfilm keeping its lips shut for the time being. The one piece of information that we do know is that it will take place five years after the event of 'The Rise of Skywalker', with Levy saying that it is a 'stand-alone' project and is 'set in a period of time that we haven't seen explored yet'. Filming for the upcoming movie is set to get underway in England before the year ends, with a release targeted for 28th May, 2027 – which gives us ample time to enjoy other 'Star Wars' entries. 'John Wick 5' Creators Wonder If Upcoming Sequel Will Satisfy Fans In our fairly recent coverage, we discussed the shocking news that 'John Wick: Chapter 5' is not only happening, but that it is also an honest-to-God sequel, with Keanu Reeves reprising his role as the legendary — and supposed-to-be-dead — hitman. Many have raised an eyebrow over this, especially with how much Reeves himself stated that he's getting too old to do high-intensity action scenes and re-emphasised to everyone that the character is canonically dead. Despite this, Chad Stahelski, co-creator of the 'John Wick' franchise, has opened up about the challenges of developing the upcoming instalment. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Stahelski has said that it has been 'a bit of a conundrum', to say the least. 'I'm not going to lie to you, it's a bit of a conundrum. Me and Mike Finch — the writer on 4 who's also writing 5 — we've got a pretty good story that I think is cool. Once we have a 50-page book, and if we're feeling it, we'll sit with Keanu and shape this thing. Look, everybody seems to want it. It's a matter of whether we crack it. We're actively working on it. It's just … is it going to be satisfying?' As mentioned in our previous article, Stahelski clarified that the next instalment will move away from the High Table, the shadow organisation that was secretly running the world throughout the franchise, as they've wrapped that storyline up with the conclusion of 'Chapter 4'. He also stressed that he didn't want to disappoint fans of the franchise, especially because they have been extremely passionate about the story and the character ever since it began back in 2014. Despite receiving the go signal for the sequel from Lionsgate, Stahelski has implied that there might not be a fifth instalment, suggesting that this sequel is dependent on whether or not they'll be able to find a good enough story that can satisfy all parties involved — especially the fans. Mia Goth joins cast of Star Wars: Starfighter
Mia Goth has joined the cast of Star Wars: Starfighter. The 31-year-old actress will reportedly join Ryan Gosling in the upcoming sci-fi movie- which is to be directed by Shawn Levy and is in development at Lucasfilms - and will begin shooting later this year before a May 2027 release, according to Deadline. Little is known about Goth's role in the film - which will act as a standalone movie within the space opera franchise - but it will be set five years after 2019's The Rise of Skywalker, with the director recently revealing it's a whole "new adventure" for fans. As quoted by Deadline, Levy, 56, said: 'There are many rumours, some true, some not. … This is not a prequel, this is not a sequel. It's a new adventure.' Gosling, 44, gushed: 'There is not a more perfect filmmaker for this particular story than Shawn." The script comes from Jonathan Tropper, who has spent the past two years working on it. The official details follow a report that Mikey Madison allegedly turned down a role in the film. The 'Anora' actress - who was named Best Actress at this year's Academy Awards - was offered a role in the flick but passed on the part, according to Variety. Levy has been working on the movie with Lucasfilm since 2022. Character and plot details remain unknown but last year, Levy said he is not planning to connect his work to any other films or TV shows in the long-running series. Speaking on the 'Happy Sad Confused' podcast, he said: "I'll say that the experience of crafting this story has forced me to think about that question. Because there's only so many times that 'Star Wars' movies can revisit the same section of the timeline, and so it's really forced me, because I don't want to do a 'Star Wars' movie that is redundant to others, nor am I interested in doing one that has to serve another movie." The filmmaker - who has teamed up with his The Adam Project co-writer Tropper on the project - added he was making the flick with "tone and characters" at the forefront. He said: "I really wanted to craft something that felt organic to me, both in tone and characters, so I think that there is certainly the Force and a connection to something bigger than our individual selves. "And the way that that can make us powerful, those themes, combined with visual delight and wish fulfilment, that's Star Wars to me."
