Miami Dolphins add another quality veteran cornerback, who could start

MIAMI GARDENS ― The Miami Dolphins are adding veteran slot cornerback Mike Hilton, according to veteran sports agent Drew Rosenhaus. Hilton, 31, has played four seasons with the Steelers and four with the Bengals. Hilton, 5-foot-9, can back up Kader Kohou, who was injured in the Dolphins' fourth training camp practice of 2025. And he can do more. Kohou limped off with a possible lower-body injury on Day 4. Kohou's initial backup, Artie Burns, went down with a torn ACL in Miami's first training camp practice. The Dolphins also added another cornerback capable of playing inside, Jack Jones, earlier in the day. And earlier this week, the Dolphins added veteran cornerback Cornell Armstrong. Miami Dolphins add Mike Hilton and Jack Jones on same day Hilton has played 123 NFL games, including 56 starts, with 13 interceptions. Hilton has a career passer rating against of 82.0, which is solid. Hilton's career Pro Football Focus grades with Cincinnati are good: 75.9, 77.4, 67.1, 70.2. Hilton has more than 4,700 career slot snaps. His addition gives the Dolphins more depth and versatility in the secondary. For example, Hilton could play inside if and when Kohou is outside. Hilton is skilled in coverage and is a solid blitzer and willing tackler.
