‘Traumatic': Video of Mumbai man laughing as his pitbull bites boy inside auto-rickshaw sparks outrage
TRIGGER WARNING A pitbull attacked an 11-year-old boy in Mumbai after the dog was deliberately unleashed on him by its owner. The shocking incident occurred in the Mankhurd area on Thursday and has sparked outrage on social media. In the viral video, the frightened boy is seen inside an auto-rickshaw with the pitbull sitting beside him. The dog's owner, identified as 43-year-old Mohammad Sohail Hasan, was seated in the front of the rickshaw and can be seen laughing at the boy's cries for help. As the video continues, the boy screams after the dog lunges at him, biting his chin. He somehow manages to flee the rickshaw, even as the dog grabs hold of his clothes. Instead of intervening, the owner is seen laughing while the dog chases the boy. Several social media users demanded strict action against the dog's owner. 'How traumatic that experience would have been for the kid. These people sorry these psychopaths needs to punished severely, so that any idiot should never dare such atrocities. @MumbaiPolice please take action and check the mental health of the kid please,' a user wrote. Another person wrote, 'It is the human that is the problem, not the animal.' 'Same treatment should done to him (the dog's owner),' another user commented. 'India needs US type law enforcement. Until then there is no hope,' a third user reacted. According to PTI, the victim has been identified and a case filed. Following a complaint by child's father, police filed an FIR on Friday. As per the FIR, the man allegedly let his dog loose on the boy, who had been playing inside a parked auto-rickshaw. The case has been filed under Section 291 (negligent handling of animals), Section 125 (causing simple hurt), and Section 125(A) of the Indian Penal Code (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). Additionally, Hasan has been served a notice under Section 35(3) of the BNS, PTI reported.

Mumbai: An 11-year-old boy was bitten by a Pit Bull after it was intentionally unleashed on him by its owner in Mumbai's eastern suburb. In a video of the incident, the scared child was seen inside an auto-rickshaw with the dog sitting next to him. Its owner was seen sitting in the front seat of the rickshaw, amused by the child's frightened reactions. He wasn't even holding on to the dog's leash. Seconds later, the boy is heard screaming, and the dog leaps to bite his chin. He somehow manages to escape the vehicle even as the pitbull grabs his clothes. The dog's owner, instead of helping the child, keeps laughing as his pet runs after the boy. The incident happened in Mankhurd area on Thursday. "The dog bit me. Then, I ran away. He even grabbed my clothes," said the victim, Hamza, on the attack on him. He also said that he pleaded with the dog's owner to help him, but he kept laughing. The child also claimed that no one came forward to help him. "They were just filming the attack," he said. Hamza said that he was "very scared" after the attack. The police have filed a complaint on Friday against the dog's owner - identified as Mohammad Sohail Hasan (43) - based on the complaint by the father of the victim. As per the complaint, Mr Hasan let go of his dog on the child who was playing inside a parked autorickshaw. The case has been registered under sections 291 (negligent abandonment of animals), 125 (causing simple hurt) and 125(A) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS). The accused has also been issued a notice under section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
