QSL participates in DB Stars League Security and Regulatory Roles Integration Forum

QSL Doha The Qatar Stars League (QSL) participated in the Qatar Football League (QFL) Security and Regulatory Integration Forum (Doha Bank Stars League), held under the patronage of His Excellency Major General Mohammed Jassim Al Sulaiti, Director General of Public Security, and organized by the Sports Security Department of the Facilities and Authorities Security Department at the Ministry of Interior. The forum was attended by Major General Dr. Ali Khajim Al Adhbi, Director of Facilities and Authorities Security Department, Hassan Rabiah Al Kuwari, Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Communication at QSL, Ahmed Salman Al Adsani, Director of Competitions at QSL, club representatives and a number of entities involved in organizing and securing sports events. The forum is part of efforts to enhance integration and co-ordination among the various participating entities with the aim of strengthening security and regulatory co-ordination for the league and unifying operational procedures and standards among relevant entities to ensure effective field performance. It also seeks to enhance the efficiency of work teams through the exchange of expertise and reviewing key challenges and solutions on the ground. Topics on the forum's agenda were discussed and reviewed, most notably security measures before, during and after the event; marketing strategies and security co-ordination, safety assessment and mechanisms used to secure referees, challenges of media coverage and co-ordination with organizing entities, match scheduling and organizational co-ordination, traffic management during sports events, the role of security in protecting players and ensuring the smooth running of matches and medical preparedness and planning during normal and emergency situations. Al Kuwari said, 'This is a unique initiative that brings together those involved in organizing matches, especially before the start of the season and 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League. Such events provide an appropriate opportunity to exchange ideas, proposals and experiences and present new visions. I can only extend my thanks and appreciation to the security personnel in general, Sports Security Department and the Facilities and Authorities Security Department at the Ministry of Interior for their distinguished efforts in organizing this forum, and for their work during the various events and their presentation of a professional image of high standards we've achieved in the State of Qatar in terms of organizational processes and principles of security and safety.'

Tribune News Network Doha The Police Academy, represented by the Police College, celebrated the graduation of the fifth and sixth batches of the 'Police of Tomorrow' program, concluding the summer 2025 training programme. The graduation ceremony for the sixth batch was attended by His Excellency Major-General Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Suwaidi, assistant undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Technical and Specialised Affairs, while the graduation ceremony for the fifth batch was attended by Major-General Mohammed Jassim Al Sulaiti, director-general of Public Security. The event featured distinguished security and skills demonstrations, reflecting the high level of training and discipline acquired by the participants and demonstrating the extent to which the values of loyalty, belonging, and responsibility were instilled within them. The programme included various training sessions along with educational and awareness lectures. Parents expressed their great happiness with the remarkable development their children witnessed during the program, emphasising that the Police of Tomorrow program contributed to developing their personalities and enhancing their self-confidence.

QNA Istanbul Director-General of Public Security HE Major-General Mohammed Jassim Al Sulaiti met with Director-General of the National Police of Turkiye Mahmut Demirtas, on the sidelines of the Ministry of Interior delegation's participation in the 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2025), hosted in Istanbul from July 22 to 27. The meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in security and prospects for developing joint security work between the two sides. The delegation also toured several pavilions of participating countries and international companies, where they were briefed on the latest advanced defence technologies and systems and key innovations in the military and security industries. IDEF is considered one of the world's leading events in the defence industry sector, with broad participation from various countries, making it a strategic platform for exchanging expertise and exploring cooperation opportunities.

KUWAIT: The State of Qatar is participating in the high-level GCC workshop on the Protection of Oil and Gas Infrastructure and Crisis Management, taking place in the State of Kuwait from July 1-3. The Qatari delegation is led by Director General of Public Security and Vice Chairman of the Civil Defence Council Major General Mohammed Jassim Al Sulaiti, and includes representatives from various member entities of the council. The workshop aims to strengthen regional cooperation in safeguarding vital oil and gas infrastructure, improve crisis response strategies, and enhance coordination mechanisms among GCC member states.

QNA & Agencies Kuwait Qatar participated in the high-level Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) workshop on the 'Protection of Oil and Gas Infrastructure and Crisis Management', held in Kuwait from July 1 to 3, 2025. The event brought together senior security and energy officials from across the GCC states to address evolving challenges in protecting the region's most critical energy assets and bolstering collective crisispreparedness. The Qatari delegation to the workshop was led by Director General of Public Security and Vice Chairman of Qatar's Civil Defence Council Major General Mohammed Jassim Al Sulaiti, underscoring the country's high-level commitment to regional cooperation in securing vital energy resources. The delegation also included representatives from various member entities of the Civil Defence Council, bringing together a diverse range of expertise from national security, civil defense, energy infrastructure, emergency management, and strategic planning. The three-day workshop, hosted by the GCC Secretariat General in collaboration with specialized national agencies, aimed to foster stronger coordination among GCC countries in safeguarding oil and gas infrastructure—a sector considered the economic backbone of the region. The event emphasised the need for shared frameworks, technological innovation, and joint contingency planning in the face of growing regional and global threats, including cyberattacks, sabotage, terrorism, and climate-relateddisasters. The workshop featured technical sessions, scenario-based exercises, and panel discussions led by experts in energy security, crisis communication, cybersecurity, and emergency logistics. Delegates reviewed case studies from past incidents and discussed best practices for protecting critical infrastructure, both offshore and onshore.
