On Monday, Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi held a meeting with an Indian parliamentary delegation led by MP Supriya Sule. During the discussion, Qatar expressed its support for India in the fight against terrorism that crosses borders. The all-party Indian delegation reaffirmed the country's united position on Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and highlighted the importance of Operation Sindoor in that context. Sharing the update, the Indian Embassy in Qatar posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter): 'On Monday morning, the multi-party Indian delegation met with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi. The team discussed the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the goals of Operation Sindoor, and India's national resolve for zero tolerance against terrorism.' According to the Indian Embassy, Minister Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi expressed Qatar's solidarity with India and emphasized the importance of a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism to maintain peace and prosperity in the region. The Indian multi-party delegation, led by MP Supriya Sule, included prominent leaders such as Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Anurag Thakur, V. Muraleedharan, Congress leaders Manish Tewari and Anand Sharma, Lavu Krishna Devarayalu of the Telugu Desam Party, Vikramjit Singh Sahney from the Aam Aadmi Party, and former diplomat Syed Akbaruddin. During their visit, the delegation also held meaningful talks with Qatar's Shura Council (parliament). They clearly conveyed India's stance on protecting its sovereignty and its right to defend itself from any form of cross-border terrorism. After the meeting, Supriya Sule told the media that Qatar's parliament members fully supported India's position and agreed on the need to eradicate terrorism from its roots. She also said Qatar shares India's zero-tolerance approach not only towards terrorism but also corruption. Congress MP Manish Tewari, part of the delegation, shared that the discussion with Sheikha Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, Vice-President of the Shura Council, and her colleagues was both productive and insightful. He spoke about India's rich and ancient culture spanning over 5,000 years, which embraces diversity in religion and culture. The delegation also made it clear that India will not tolerate Pakistan's use of terrorism as a tool of state policy or its low-cost proxy war tactics. India reserves the right to take appropriate measures to defend its sovereignty and civilizational values.

Khulaifi, Belgian deputy PM mull ways to enhance bilateral ties
