ASTRO has responded with strong resolve after facing a wave of malicious online comments following the release of their heartfelt tribute to the late Moonbin. On April 23, ASTRO's agency, Fantagio, issued a firm statement: 'Malicious slander and rumors that defame ASTRO's reputation are spreading recklessly online,' they said. 'Although we have been monitoring the situation cautiously, we can no longer stand by and will be taking legal action without leniency.' The agency underscored that spreading false information and hiding behind anonymity to post defamatory content is a clear violation of the law. They also shared that evidence is being actively collected and that fan-submitted tips have been invaluable—welcomed via email. Fantagio made it clear: 'We will continue to respond strongly to any actions that infringe upon ASTRO's rights and interests.' ASTRO, who debuted in 2016 with faced a devastating loss when member Moonbin passed away in April 2023 at the age of 25. To honour the second anniversary of his passing, ASTRO recently released the tribute track 'Memory of the Moon.' All proceeds from the song will be donated. The project brought together 22 artists, including Moon Sua, VIVIZ, Monsta X, Seventeen, and SF9.

Dubai: Members and friends of the late Kpop artist, Moonbin are coming together to release a song on the second anniversary of his passing. Moonbin's friends and younger sister, Billie's Moon Sua, are working on a releasing a tribute song and is said to release on April 19. According to a report by JTBC, the artists coming together include fellow ASTRO members Cha Eun-woo, MJ, JinJin, and Sanha, his younger sister Moon Sua, as well as Seungkwan and DK from Seventeen. Dispatch also reported several other artists who will be participating in this project. They include Bang Chan from Stray Kids, Hoshi, Wonwoo and Mingyu from Seventeen, I.M, Kihyun and Minhyuk from Monsta X, Chani from SF9, and many more. It was also reported that fellow ASTRO member, Cha Eun-woo personally reached out to friends and took a key role in organising it. A statement by ASTRO's agency, Fantagio, said, 'Moonbin's friends will be coming together to release a new song in April. This song will be structured as a letter from his friends to Moonbin, and we will share more details about the participating artists and the song soon.'

Astro pays tribute to late member with friends, family

Astro is releasing a single in memory of late Moonbin on Saturday, said agency Fantagio on Thursday. The band teamed up with friends and family of their bandmate who passed away two years ago. The list of musicians who participated in making single 'Moon' include: Moon Sua of Billlie, sister of Moonbin; Viviz; Minhyuk, Kihyun and I.M of Monsta X; Hoshi, Wonwoo, Minkyu, Dogyeom and Seungkwan of Seventeen; Bang Chan of Stray Kids; and Chanhee of SF9. Last year, Jinjin put out self-written single 'Fly' on the day which he worked on and sang with Moonbin. Meanwhile, Astro is soon to host a standalone concert 'Stargraphy.' It will be the band's first full-group concert in three years and Rocky, who left the team in 2023, will join it on stage, as he did for the upcoming single.

Astro to host full-group concert: report

Astro will hold a stand-alone concert for the first time in three years, according to a local media report Monday. The live show will be the fourth stand-alone gig for the band that celebrated its ninth debut anniversary with the digital single 'Twilight' in February. The special track topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in three regions, as well as Melon's Hot 100 at home. The band is also set to drop a digital single this month to commemorate bandmate Moonbin, who passed away two years ago, with his sister Moon Sua of Billlie and close friends Seungkwan and DK of Seventeen. Separately, Cha Eunwoo recently accepted a role in the upcoming film 'First Ride.' It will mark his silver screen debut as a lead actor. He is currently shooting the Netflix drama 'The Wonder Fools.'

Billlie to wrap up world tour with Seoul concert

Billlie will host its first standalone concert in Seoul on March 29, agency Mystic Story said on Friday. The performance will bring a close to the group's first international tour 'Our Flowerld (Belllie've You),' which began in July and spanned 30 cities –- nine in Europe, 14 in the Americas and seven in Asia and Oceania. Fittingly for the tour, named after the group's first song dedicated to fans, the seven members will pour everything they have accomplished so far -- from music and performances to narratives -- into the show. Separately, Moon Sua and Siyoon will drop a single as a duo next month, according to a local media report. The two rappers will form a subunit for the first time.
