'Another Simple Favor': Blake Lively gave this advice to Michele Morrone
'Another Simple Favor': Blake Lively gave this advice to Michele Morrone Show Caption Hide Caption Blake Lively appears at 'Another Simple Favor' premiere amid lawsuits Blake Lively made a public appearance at SXSW as she and "It Ends With Us" director Justin Baldoni litigate alleged on-set misconduct in court. There's a new player in Emily Nelson and Stephanie Smothers' game of catwalk couture and mouse: Michele Morrone. 'Another Simple Favor' director Paul Feig recruited the Italian actor, who broke through as a kidnapper hoping to seduce his captive in the erotic thriller '365 Days,' for the 'A Simple Favor' sequel (streaming now on Prime Video). Morrone, 34, plays Emily's (Blake Lively) wealthy, Mafioso fiancé Dante Versano, who is instrumental in helping free his bride-to-be from prison. In the original 2018 movie, Emily was arrested after Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) secretly livestreamed Emily copping to faking her own death, which she tried to pin on her flailing husband Sean (Henry Golding). In the new installment, Emily taps Stephanie to be her maid of honor at a dreamy destination wedding in Capri. 'I read the script, it was incredible,' Morrone says. Join our Watch Party! Sign up to receive USA TODAY's movie and TV recommendations right in your inbox He admits with a laugh that '365,' is 'not the best film ever,' but he reprised the role for two sequels. Morrone has also portrayed a husband who regretfully begins an affair with a robot in 'Subservience,' and recently wrapped 'The Housemaid' (also directed by Feig). He's filming 'Maserati: The Brothers' with Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia and Jessica Alba, as well as another project, which he has to keep under wraps. What Morrone can say is, 'It's going to be so fun.' He can speak more freely about his role of Dante, which is 'nothing like it seems,' Morrone says. 'He wants to feel powerful, but he's not. He doesn't really care about being a Mafia boss.' Morrone reveals the important lesson Lively taught him on the set of 'Another Simple Favor' and the importance of being original. (This conversation has been edited for length and clarity.) 'Another Simple Favor': Why director Paul Feig 'tried to kill' the sequel Question: What made the experience of 'Another Simple Favor' so enjoyable? Michele Morrone: People were kind and fine and funny and super-inspiring, even (more than) the acting. I've learned so much. Blake is in the industry 20 years, and I'm just new. So I had the chance to learn the American acting method. How does the American method of acting differ from Italian acting? In Italy, it seems like you just need to be in front of a camera to be an actor. I believe that actors in America take the job much more serious than Italians. The movie industry in America is one of the first industries. So they take it very, very serious, and I like that. We're working, and we need to make a good project. The American people on set, they're so, so polite, even positive. When you work on an Italian set, they make you feel like you don't know (anything). You just have to do the job. Americans are very open to listening to you. I was so surprised that Paul Feig was there to listen to my ideas. We had an exchange of ideas, and we gave life to the character together. Is there a specific piece of advice you received about American acting on set? I was trying so, so hard to speak in the American slang, but then Blake was like, 'Why are you doing that?' I was like, 'Because I want to at least try to speak like you.' She was like, 'No, you're cool because you have an Italian accent. If you were an American actor, you would be just like everybody else.' It was so refreshing for me. And I really want to thank Blake for that because that was actually right. What matters is the acting, the work, the passion you have for this job, how serious you take a film and a script. Is there someone whose career you would like to emulate? No, everybody should find their own way to become original. Because if you try to emulate someone, you're just bringing a weird copy of someone else and people won't be so interested in you because it exists already.

Michele Morrone, the hunky leading man of 365 Days and Another Simple Favor fame, on his friendship with Blake Lively, staying grounded in Hollywood, and the importance of being a good dad
Everything is romantic in the eyes of Michele Morrone, the hunky Italian leading man who's out to prove he can give Colin Farrell and Leonardo DiCaprio a run for their money. 'I'm obsessed with my life and obsessed with my passions,' the 34-year-old breakout star from erotic thriller 365 Days tells me over the phone one morning, dialling in from Milan to discuss his life as an actor, a father and everything in between. Self-assured and confident, as you would surely expect from one of Hollywood's most handsome faces, Morrone's name is also one of the most recognisable right now. Fresh off starring alongside Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in Another Simple Favor, the sequel to Paul Feig's 2018 smash hit A Simple Favor, the actor is set to take on another blockbuster role in Feig's upcoming film The Housemaid, which casts him alongside A-listers Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney Michele Morrone photographed for Style by Mike Ruiz. Dsquared²: suit, shirt, tie, shoes; Intimissimi Uomo: socks Advertisement 'From my point of view, it's a waste to use only one life to do only one thing that you love,' Morrone says of his somewhat unconventional career path so far, from navigating humble beginnings in Puglia to finding fame through films like Subservience with Megan Fox and appearances on the Italian version of Dancing with the Stars. That's not to mention his side hustles dabbling in music and fashion. 'It's not that I'm going to wait until this life to finish my acting career and then in the next life be a singer, and then again in the next be a painter. I want to do it all together because I'm drunk on life – my passions are like a drug for me.' Riding that high, so to speak, not only transformed Morrone into an international heartthrob nearly overnight with 365 Days, but also took his career to new heights by bringing him face-to-face with pre-eminent filmmaking figures like Feig, whom the actor calls 'one of the most incredible gentlemen I've ever met'. If you ask Morrone whether he could even conceive of all this success back then, as a young hopeful from southern Italy, he would again speak with a sense of romanticism and whimsy – kismet, he calls it, borne out of uncompromising dedication and commitment to a path he feels was laid out for him all this time. 'For me it was more like a trip, like I'm going somewhere,' the actor muses. 'Like, I'm going to Hollywood. And there was something in my mind telling me that it was never a question mark for me. I don't know how much time I am going to take but I'm going there.' Emporio Armani: overcoat. The ring is Michele Morrone's own And go there he has in the span of just a few short years. Since 365 Days was released back in 2020, Morrone filmed two sequels before being tapped by Feig for Another Simple Favor, something the actor describes as a great honour and one which has become one of his most high-profile projects to date. Though legal drama surrounding Lively and her former It Ends with Us co-star Justin Baldoni , has since engulfed his famous castmate and distracted from much of Another Simple Favor's promotion, Morrone refrains from commenting on the controversy and instead gushes about Lively, whom he now calls a best friend. 'We talk almost every day on the phone. We exchange advice. She's like a sister to me – one of the most beautiful women, people, I ever met in my life. I became such good friends with Ryan [Reynolds] as well.' 'You always have the hope that you're going to get along with the person you're working with, especially when you have to play her man,' Morrone continues, when asked about acting alongside Lively and playing her romantic lead. 'You're always hoping to find someone who understands, and me and Blake we had such a great bond straight away. We became good friends from day one so it was very easy for me.'

But they managed to beat the Canarini and draw against Messina and were now 11th, three points above the relegation zone. But today they had to face Juventus … Juventus must have thought that this game was going to be easy and they began rather too relaxedly. In the 2nd minute Giancarlo Morrone, completely unmarked on the left, sent a perfect cross into the box and Graziano Landoni beat Roberto Anzolin scoring his first goal in Serie A. A shock start for the Bianconeri who had not expected this. In the 17th minute came their first sign of reaction but Adolfo Gori's shot was wide. Ten minutes later Lazio made it two. Vincenzo Gasperi stopped a Juve play and passed to Morrone. Ball to Landoni who crossed for Mario Maraschi. Marvellous volley, Juventus 0 Lazio 2. Omar Sivori tried to reduce the deficit with a header in the 36th minute but Idilio Cei saved comfortably. He had a little more work to do on a Gianfranco Zigoni attempt a couple of minutes later. In the 41st minute, Maraschi was fouled in the box, but the referee gave a free kick just outside. The Lazio forward did not protest and took the free kick. Goal. But not for the ref who claimed that the Biancoceleste player had taken the free kick before he had whistled. Maraschi picked up the ball but this time did not shoot, he passed it to Morrone who did and now the goal was valid. At the end of the first half Lazio were 3-0 up much to the surprise of the spectators. In the second half Maraschi in the 52nd minute almost made it four with a long range shot and this was a sign for Juventus that the match was lost. The Bianconeri no longer attacked and Lazio controlled the rest of the game. Marvellous win for the Biancocelesti. They would win 3-0 again in Turin against Juventus but not until 1995!!! Carlo Parola is a legend of Italian football. The image of his bicycle kick has been used by the Panini group as their logo for the Calciatori sticker collection. Born in Turin on September 20, 1921, he started his career with Dopo Lavoro Fiat (now called Sisport), a team made up of Fiat employees that used to play in the Italian leagues but he soon moved to Juventus. He arrived as centre forward but manager Felice Borel moved him to defence and it is here that he made a name for himself. He played for Juventus from 1939 to 1954 with 334 appearances and 10 goals. He won a Coppa Italia in 1941-42 and the scudetto twice (1949-50 and 1951-52). He played 10 times for the Nazionale and was the only Italian to play the 1947 friendly between Great Britain and Rest of Europe. Despite his team losing 6-1 and scoring an own goal, he stood out positively and several English teams, including Chelsea, tried to sign him. His last year of active football was with Lazio where he made seven appearances. Once he stopped playing he stayed in Rome and was assistant to manager Luigi Ferrero in the 1955-56 season. He then became head coach of Anconitana, taking them up to Serie B in 1957-58. In 1959 he was chosen to manage Juventus and stayed for three years, winning the scudetto twice and the Coppa Italia twice. His last year at the club was not so good due to the fact that their star player Giampiero Boniperti had retired, plus the fact that John Charles, legendary Welsh centre forward, was marred with injury. He also had a bad relationship with another star player, Omar Sivori, and the Bianconeri arrived 12th, their worst result ever. He then went on to manage Prato in 1962, winning promotion to Serie B, then Chieri, Livorno, Napoli, as physical trainer, and Novara with another promotion to Serie B. With the Piedmontese he 'discovered' two fundamental players in Italian football: Felice Pulici, who would be one of Lazio's 1973-74 scudetto heroes, and Renato Zaccarelli who won the scudetto with Torino in 1975-76. Back at Juventus in 1974 he won another scudetto. Despite being substituted by Giovanni Trapattoni, he stayed at the club as a scout. He died in Turin on March 22, 2000. Ivan Provedel, 17/3/1994, goalkeeper, Italy, 115 appearances, 1 goal (2022-ongoing) Giuseppe Greco, 19/3/1958, midfielder, Italy, 39 appearances, 8 goals (1980-81) Giuseppe Mancini, 19/3/1920, forward, Italy, 48 appearances, 10 goals (1938-41, 1943-45) Alessandro Nesta, 19/3/1976, defender, Italy, 262 appearances, 3 goals (1993-02) Thomas, Strakosha, 19/3/1995, goalkeeper, Italy, 208 appearances (2016-21) Bruno Ispiro, 20/3/1920, forward, Italy, 28 appearances, 5 goals (1946-47) Giuseppe Galderisi, 22/3/1963, forward, Italy, 38 appearances, 2 goals (1987-88) Luiz Felipe, 22/3/1997, defender, Brasil, 144 appearances, 2 goals (2017-22) Ezio Sclavi, 23/3/1903, goalkeeper, Italy, 255 appearances (1923-34) Giuseppe Sculli, 23/3/1981, midfielder/forward, 31 appearances, 7 goals (2011-12) This Article Was Written by Dag Jenkins & Simon Basten from Lazio Stories. Blake Lively Is All Smiles in Her First Appearance Since the Baldoni Legal Battle Began
XNY/Star Max Almost exactly a month after launching what has turned into a very messy legal battle with Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have been spotted out and about and—for the first time—together. The couple have been laying (relatively) low for the past few months, but a new Instagram Story shows that there's one former co-star Lively's not about to feud with: actor Michele Morrone. Morrone, an Italian actor best known stateside for appearing in the steamy Netflix movie 365 Days, posted a selfie with Lively and Reynolds (taken in a room that sure looks like their apartment) on Sunday, January 26, writing 'Missed you guys! Love you!!' and tagging both stars. Morrone has an unspecified role in the upcoming sequel to A Simple Favor, which Lively was shooting in Italy while It Ends With Us was going through post-production. Like the first movie, the A Simple Favor sequel was directed by Paul Feig, who is also helming the movie adaptation of the novel The Housemaid, which Morrone has a part in. He posted a signed copy of the novel with a note from the author saying she's glad to have him playing the character of Enzo. You might remember that rumors of a Baldoni-Lively-Reynolds rift began to swirl after the actors didn't appear in press pictures together, and fans noticed that the power couple had unfollowed the actor-director on Instagram. Given this latest pic, it seems like all these people get along. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds's legal issues with Baldoni were rumored to be derailing plans for ASF2, but thankfully, Feig shut that down online, saying the studio is aiming for a spring or summer release. As a huge fan of the original, this is good news to me! Originally Appeared on Glamour
