Blake Lively Is All Smiles in Her First Appearance Since the Baldoni Legal Battle Began

Almost exactly a month after launching what has turned into a very messy legal battle with Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have been spotted out and about and—for the first time—together. The couple have been laying (relatively) low for the past few months, but a new Instagram Story shows that there's one former co-star Lively's not about to feud with: actor Michele Morrone.
Morrone, an Italian actor best known stateside for appearing in the steamy Netflix movie 365 Days, posted a selfie with Lively and Reynolds (taken in a room that sure looks like their apartment) on Sunday, January 26, writing 'Missed you guys! Love you!!' and tagging both stars.
Morrone has an unspecified role in the upcoming sequel to A Simple Favor, which Lively was shooting in Italy while It Ends With Us was going through post-production. Like the first movie, the A Simple Favor sequel was directed by Paul Feig, who is also helming the movie adaptation of the novel The Housemaid, which Morrone has a part in. He posted a signed copy of the novel with a note from the author saying she's glad to have him playing the character of Enzo.
You might remember that rumors of a Baldoni-Lively-Reynolds rift began to swirl after the actors didn't appear in press pictures together, and fans noticed that the power couple had unfollowed the actor-director on Instagram. Given this latest pic, it seems like all these people get along.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds's legal issues with Baldoni were rumored to be derailing plans for ASF2, but thankfully, Feig shut that down online, saying the studio is aiming for a spring or summer release.

Instagram's trial Reels have been available for just on six months now, and IG is keen to get more creators trying out its audience sampling feature, in order to help boost content performance. As you can see in this example sequence, trial Reels are shown to a selection of users who don't follow your profile, which can give you early insight into the likely performance of your Reel. To be clear, trial Reels are not displayed to your followers, either in the main Feed or via the Reels tab. The idea is that this gives you an unbiased assessment of content quality, while also helping you potentially reach a broader audience. Which some have also used as a growth hack of sorts, in that you can get your content in front of a broader audience in the app by only showing your Reels to people who don't follow you. Within that, you can also re-post older posts as trial Reels as well, and some creators have found this to be an effective way to build their audience. Another element to consider. 'Approximately 24 hours after sharing a trial reel, you can view engagement data, such as views, likes, comments and shares. The more trial reels you create, the more insights you'll have to compare against other trial reels and the more understanding you'll have on what might perform best.' You're limited to 20 trial Reels per day, but outside of that, you can test and measure your initial Reels' response, which can then help to inform your content strategy. And for those who are using trial Reels, they have proven effective: 'After trying trial reels, 40% of creators started posting reels more often and of those who did, 80% saw an increase in reels reach from non-followers.' So it can help to guide your thinking on what to post, while you can also easily convert trial Reels into regular posts, which will then be shared with your followers. It could be a valuable tool in your IG strategy, and as Instagram notes, many creators are finding this a valuable tool for audience sampling. And IG clearly wants more creators to try it out. 'Love Island USA' contestant Yulissa Escobar has released a statement apologizing for using racial slurs in past podcast clips that resurfaced online. 'In those clips, I used a word I never should've used, a racial slur,' Escobar wrote on her Instagram account. 'I used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it. I wasn't trying to be offensive or harmful, but I recognize now that intention doesn't excuse impact. And the impact of that word is real. It's tied to generations of trauma, and it is not mine to use.' After Their Friendship Was Reportedly Left "Fractured" By The Justin Baldoni Lawsuit, There's A New Update On Taylor Swift And Blake Lively
There's a new update on Taylor Swift and Blake Lively's friendship amidst Blake's ongoing legal woes with Justin Baldoni. In addition to denying the claims, Justin launched a countersuit against Blake, alleging defamation, civil extortion, and false light invasion of privacy. Taylor was roped into the drama in May when Justin's legal team subpoenaed her, arguing that Blake had used "her megacelebrity friend to pressure [Justin]" into making changes on the film. A rep for Taylor immediately denied their claims. "Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie," her spokesperson said. "She was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history." "Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift's name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case." Still, the drama continued when Justin's lawyers wrote a letter to a judge claiming that Blake had allegedly asked Taylor to delete their text messages and "that if Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages of a personal nature in Ms. Lively's possession would be released." However, a source claimed that Blake and Taylor's friendship was still left "fractured" in the wake of it. "Their friendship has halted," a source purportedly close to Taylor told People last month. "Taylor wants no part in this drama," the source added, before clarifying it didn't mean they were "not no longer friends" — they were just "taking some space." Neither Taylor nor Blake addressed the report at the time, but now, almost a month on, a source has offered an update, telling People their friendship still "isn't the same." "[They] aren't as close and haven't been spending as much time together as they did in the past," the source said. However, they claimed Taylor and Blake are trying to get back "on good terms." "Taylor is working to trust Blake again but it's going to take some time," the insider added. I guess we'll see what happens. In the meantime, BuzzFeed has reached out to reps for Taylor, Blake, and Justin for comment on the latest report.
