CAIRO, May 29 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli underlined on Thursday the importance of stepping up efforts exerted by the Cabinet's Unified Government Complaints System to monitor, receive and deal with citizens' complaints, especially those of humanitarian dimension. He called of diversifying channels of receiving complaints in a bid to ensure swift response. Madbouli made his remarks while reviewing a report prepared by the Unified Government Complaints System on the government's efforts to deal with citizens' complaints in cooperation with different bodies concerned. Director of the Unified Government Complaints System Tarek el Refai said the quick and effective response of the mechanism to citizens' complaints comes as part of the political leadership's directives to secure a decent life to citizens. He expressed thanks to the ministries of education and health for their swift response to citizens' complaints. Established by Presidential Decree No. 314 of 2017, it provides a two-way communication channel between the government and its citizens. CAIRO, May 28 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said Wednesday there is no alternative to continuing work on a plan to reduce debt rates and sustain a downward trajectory. This came during a meeting he chaired this evening at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, to review a number of proposals that will contribute to reducing debt to GDP ratio. The meeting was attended by a number of officials, including Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouck, and Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Osama Rabie. The meeting discussed a number of proposals that will contribute to reducing debt, thus achieving the government's objectives in this regard, government spokesperson Mohamed el-Homsany said. The meeting also tackled efforts to strengthen the country's foreign currency reserves from various sources, including foreign direct investment (FDIs), exports, Suez Canal revenues, remittances from Egyptians abroad, and others. CAIRO, May 28 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said Egypt is seeing major international investment interest due to its stability, improved infrastructure, and investor-friendly legislation. Madbouli added that this environment has led to growing commitments from global firms. During a press briefing following the cabinet meeting, the PM noted that he had held discussions with US companies to invest in advanced technology, automotive, pharmaceuticals, food, and clean energy. The Premier also confirmed ongoing cooperation with China and Russia in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and announced new talks with American firms to establish dedicated industrial zones. Additionally, Madbouli described Egypt as a growing market and a direct route to Arab and African economies. He cited President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's recent meetings with global companies as a clear sign of investor confidence. A new deal with IBM was signed to train 100,000 youth over five years in AI and digital fields, part of a broader push to equip Egyptian workers for the global market. Shell and ExxonMobil announced plans to expand operations in Egypt after successful economic reforms and promising exploration results. Madbouli stated that these decisions come even as both companies scale down projects elsewhere. On dairy import concerns, he confirmed that existing halal and quality rules remain in place. Egypt continues importing meat from approved sources under strict inspection. The PM also addressed requests from some countries to review tariffs, especially on US products, and added that all changes will be considered within Egypt's legal and trade frameworks. CAIRO, May 24 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli opened a new headquarters of the Egyptian Ambulance Organization in Hadayek October, during a ceremony marking 123 years since ambulance services began in Egypt. The new facility includes a national call center operating 24/7 to receive emergency and non-emergency calls via the 123 hotline. Calls are routed to ambulances based on real-time location and availability using an automated dispatch system. A new mobile interface links ambulances with dispatch units using tablets, thus improving coordination and response. The visit also marked the launch of the "Es3afny" mobile app, which allows users to request non-urgent ambulance services, track vehicles, view costs, and submit complaints or suggestions. CAIRO, May 21 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said the government is working on detailed plan for 2030 that goes beyond the IMF program, which concludes by the end of 2026, or early 2027 at most. 'We are looking forward to a national program that does not depend on any other international institution,' the premier added during a news briefing following the cabinet weekly meeting on Wednesday. He noted that the 2030 covers to a set of achievable targets, most prominent among which are sustaining of high growth rates, lowering inflation rates, reducing unemployment, and focusing on the social dimension. In addition, many indicators, including industrial development and advanced technology, will gain the government primary focus over the period ahead, while working for maximizing of the potential of the tourism and ICT industries, and looking forward to optimizing all advanced systems and artificial intelligence tools in all aspects of life, Madbouli said during the press conference. As for the challenges facing the Universal Health Insurance System, Madbouli said the government is considering adding a new governorate with a population of over 5 million to the second phase of the system roll-out, bringing total number of covered governorates to 12. He said the government is keen on ensuring the financial sustainability of the universal health insurance coverage, pointing out that the government did not start with densely populated governorates in order to build a strong financial system from the system's revenues.
