When 19-year-old Monu Meena from Bhadadsui, a remote village in Baran district of Rajasthan, received the news of his NEET result, the tears in his eyes weren't just of joy. They were filled with memories of struggle, sacrifice, and a promise fulfilled to his late father, his hardworking mother, and a selfless elder a Hindi medium student, secured the 748th rank in the OBC category in NEET 2025 and is now on his way to becoming a behind this success lies a tale of loss, grit, and silent determination.A FAMILY 'S SACRIFICE FOR ONE DREAM Monu lost his father in 2011 after a prolonged illness. He was very young then, and the entire burden of raising the family fell on his mother, Kalavati Bai, who supported them through subsistence elder brother, Ajay Meena, also a biology student, once dreamt of becoming a doctor himself. But when coaching for both brothers became unaffordable, Ajay quietly gave up his own dream and pursued a BSc instead — so that Monu's dream could stay showed early academic promise, scoring 91.5% in Class 10, but preparing for NEET in Kota was a distant dream due to financial constraints. Monu's elder brother, Ajay Meena, gave up his dream of becoming a doctor and instead pursued BSc, so that Monu's dream could stay alive. He was selected based on his school he met NV Sir, the director of Motion, who saw the dream in his eyes along with the hesitation that came from being a Hindi medium student. He became his biggest supporter and encouraged him towards achieving his recalls, "People say it is difficult to succeed in Hindi medium, I also used to think the same. But when I met NV Sir, the direction of my thinking changed."He added, "It's not the medium, but hard work that matters.
