Florida 'on top' for 4-star OT after official visit

Florida 'on top' for 4-star OT after official visit Mount Carmel High School (Chicago) offensive tackle Claude Mpouma has Florida leading his recruitment after an official visit to The Swamp over the weekend. "On top," Mpouma said to Swamp247. "I mean, it's Florida... I just feel comfortable over here. I feel like I'm home. So that's probably a big thing for me." The 6-foot-7-inch, 308-pound Cameroon native made his second trip to Gainesville on Friday and stayed through Sunday for a closer look at the program. He spent time with position coaches John DeCoster and Rob Sale, strengthening an already established relationship. Florida overtook Auburn in the race for Mpouma, but recency bias seems to be a factor with his recruitment. He'll be at Nebraska this upcoming weekend and could decide that, although no timeline has been laid out just yet. Recruiting Summary Recruiting Service Star Rating Natl. Rank Pos. "Light on his feet and will find ways to cover the corner with his raw athleticism as he can dance to the tune of different pass rushers. Plays a bit upright at times, but has displayed the ability to get low in a three-point stance. More notably, can fire off the ball with some urgency when convicted in his assignment." "Lacks play strength at this stage and can struggle with power-based defenders. Also needs instruction in how to get the most out of his long levers. Will be a longer burn as he's still in the early stages of his development, but should be viewed as a potential multi-year starter for a College Football Playoff hopeful that will have a chance to man the left side of the line with his reach and fluidity. Could certainly outplay his projection if he flips the switch in the run game." Children of Kurukkankundu in Agali seek Collector's help for road, power

A group of school students from Kurukkankundu in the Kallamala village of Agali panchayat in Attappady complained to the District Collector here on Saturday against the Forest department objecting to their road and power connectivity. The students said that their families had been living at Kurukkankundu since 1960 with proper land documents. However, they said basic facilities were being denied to them because of the objections raised by the Forest department. Those students had staged a satyagraha and night marches in 2020 demanding Internet connectivity as the schools turned to online mode in the wake of the COVID-19 lockdown. They are students of Mount Carmel High School, Jellippara. They said they were forced to walk 7 km to reach the school owing to lack of a proper road. The issue was raised even in the Assembly, yet no solution was found so far. The children said they were being denied the basic facilities such as power supply and road for no fault of theirs.
