Netflix's My Life With The Walter Boys will be back later this month for its second season. WARNING: This article contains spoilers from My Life With The Walter Boys. My Life With The Walter Boys season two is merely weeks away, but there's already thrilling news about its third instalment. The coming-of-age romantic drama truly set tongues wagging when it initially dropped on Netflix two years ago, with Jackie Howard (played by Nikki Rodriguez) compelled to abandon her former existence in New York following the tragic loss of her family. She's welcomed by her mum's closest mate Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty) and resides with her husband and 11 children, comprising 10 boys and one girl, Parker (Alix West Lefler). A romantic triangle swiftly developed between 15 year old Jackie and siblings Alex (Ashby Gentry) and Cole Walters (Noah LaLonde), but a steamy snog with the latter prompted her to bolt from Colorado in the concluding episode. Whilst series two will shortly pick up from the explosive events of the inaugural season, Netflix has now delivered a crucial announcement concerning the third chapter. It was revealed back in May that My Life With The Walter Boys would be making a comeback for series three. Nevertheless, Netflix has subsequently announced that filming on the third season commenced today, Wednesday, August 6. Posting on X, previously Twitter, the streaming giant shared a snap of Rodriguez, Gentry and LaLonde alongside the message: "My Life With The Walter Boys season two? August 28. Season three? Now in production." Supporters couldn't hold back from rushing to the comments section to rejoice, with one viewer penning: "Season two dropping soon and Season 3 already in the works?" "My Life with the Walter Boys fans are eating good! Can't wait to see where the story goes next. "Double treat incoming!" a second declared, whilst another shared: "Season two isn't even out yet and we're already getting season three? Nice." Production commenced on August 6 and is understood to be set to wrap on December 1, 2025. An official premiere date for the third series hasn't been revealed but it is anticipated to arrive sometime in 2026 so the delay will be considerably briefer this time round. In the interim, enthusiasts have series two to look forward to but how will Jackie's romances with Alex and Cole unfold as she returns to Silver Falls? 'My Life with the Walter Boys' season 2 trailer is here with more love triangle drama
To say that Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez) was dealing with a lot at the end of the first season of Netflix's YA hit "My Life with the Walter Boys" is an understatement. The finale saw our plucky protagonist dealing with not only a love confession by Alex Walter (Ashby Gentry) but also a smooch from his brother, Cole (Noah LaLonde). No wonder Jackie took off for New York City to clear her head and her heart, as seen in the official trailer for the second season of the coming-of-age drama, which is set to be released on Thursday, August 28 on the streaming service. Netflix dropped a first look at the new episodes that shows Rodriguez's character back on the busy streets of Manhattan for summer, understandably with quite a lot on her mind. 'I spent all summer spiraling about how and why I left,' we hear via voiceover. 'I don't belong anywhere anymore.' However, Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty) — the best friend of Jackie's late mother — assures her that she belongs back in Silver Falls, Colorado, where Katherine, her husband George (Marc Blucas) and their children (including Alex and Cole) live. So off to Colorado Jackie goes, where she will contend with a newly glowed-up Alex as well as his equally appealing bro. Actor Ashby Gentry recently discussed Alex's "story of discovery" in season 2 with People magazine: 'Alex was 15 in season 1 and he's 16 in the second season, and they go through all of those experiences that kids go through for the first time. A lot of season 1 was a novel experience, whereas season 2, at least for Alex, is a story of discovery." 'They're trying to figure out who they are and where they fit in the world and what do they want with each other, with everything that lies beyond high school and the greater scheme of life,' he continued of the characters.
