Netflix My Life With The Walter Boys announces major season 3 update

Netflix's My Life With The Walter Boys will be back later this month for its second season. WARNING: This article contains spoilers from My Life With The Walter Boys. ‌ My Life With The Walter Boys season two is merely weeks away, but there's already thrilling news about its third instalment. ‌ The coming-of-age romantic drama truly set tongues wagging when it initially dropped on Netflix two years ago, with Jackie Howard (played by Nikki Rodriguez) compelled to abandon her former existence in New York following the tragic loss of her family. ‌ She's welcomed by her mum's closest mate Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty) and resides with her husband and 11 children, comprising 10 boys and one girl, Parker (Alix West Lefler). A romantic triangle swiftly developed between 15 year old Jackie and siblings Alex (Ashby Gentry) and Cole Walters (Noah LaLonde), but a steamy snog with the latter prompted her to bolt from Colorado in the concluding episode. Whilst series two will shortly pick up from the explosive events of the inaugural season, Netflix has now delivered a crucial announcement concerning the third chapter. ‌ It was revealed back in May that My Life With The Walter Boys would be making a comeback for series three. Nevertheless, Netflix has subsequently announced that filming on the third season commenced today, Wednesday, August 6. ‌ Posting on X, previously Twitter, the streaming giant shared a snap of Rodriguez, Gentry and LaLonde alongside the message: "My Life With The Walter Boys season two? August 28. Season three? Now in production." Supporters couldn't hold back from rushing to the comments section to rejoice, with one viewer penning: "Season two dropping soon and Season 3 already in the works?" "My Life with the Walter Boys fans are eating good! Can't wait to see where the story goes next. ‌ "Double treat incoming!" a second declared, whilst another shared: "Season two isn't even out yet and we're already getting season three? Nice." A wave of additional comments also poured in, featuring "Rate this", "wow" and "so excited". ‌ Meanwhile, a viewer remarked: "Already? Don't make us wait another two years then." Production commenced on August 6 and is understood to be set to wrap on December 1, 2025. An official premiere date for the third series hasn't been revealed but it is anticipated to arrive sometime in 2026 so the delay will be considerably briefer this time round. In the interim, enthusiasts have series two to look forward to but how will Jackie's romances with Alex and Cole unfold as she returns to Silver Falls? My Life With The Walter Boys series two launches on Thursday, August 28, on Netflix.

Mark your calendars: Netflix is bringing back My Life with the Walter Boys on August 28, 2025, and yes—all episodes will be released at once. Time to clear your schedule for a proper binge. The big announcement was made in style at the Calgary Stampede this July, where cast members Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde, and Ashby Gentry surprised fans with the release date. Filming wrapped up last November in Calgary, so the summer premiere is perfectly timed. Who's Returning and Who's New in the Cast? The core cast is back to bring the Walter family drama to life, with a few exciting new faces joining the mix. Here's the lineup: Returning Cast Nikki Rodriguez as Jackie Howard, the city girl navigating love and loss in rural Colorado. Noah LaLonde as Cole Walter, the brooding ex-jock caught in a love triangle with Jackie. Ashby Gentry as Alex Walter, the sweet bookworm vying for Jackie's heart. Sarah Rafferty as Katherine Walter, the warm matriarch of the Walter family. Marc Blucas as George Walter, Katherine's supportive husband. Johnny Link as Will Walter, the eldest brother, with Zoë Soul recurring as his wife, Hayley, in fewer episodes this season. Corey Fogelmanis returns as Nathan Walter, alongside Connor Stanhope as Danny, Dean Petriw as Jordan, Alix West Lefler as Parker, and Lennix James as Benny—bringing back the spirited energy of the Walter siblings. Isaac Arellanes and Myles Perez also reprise their roles as Isaac and Lee Garcia. Janet Kidder as Joanne Wagner, Grace's mom and a friend of Katherine's who's not fond of change. What to Expect from the Plot Season 1 ended with Jackie fleeing to New York City after a messy love triangle involving Cole and Alex. A drunk Alex confessed his love at Will and Hayley's wedding, while Cole's sweet gesture of hiding Jackie's late sister's broken teapot led to a kiss that left fans reeling. Unlike the book by Ali Novak, where Jackie chooses Cole, the show took a bold turn by keeping her romantic future open-ended, with Jackie boarding a flight to New York to live with her Uncle Richard. In Season 2, Jackie returns to Silver Falls, Colorado, determined to mend things with Alex and set boundaries with Cole while finding her place within the Walter family. But fitting back in won't be easy. Alex, who's had a major glow-up over the summer, is focused on training for a risky rodeo event and enjoying new attention, which might make him less open to reconnecting with Jackie. Meanwhile, Cole takes on a new role at school, but his old habits creep back, stirring up drama. Jackie's journey will center on balancing her New York roots with her new life in Silver Falls, facing choices that could change everything she's worked to rebuild. Showrunner Melanie Halsall has teased that Season 2 will be 'bigger and better,' with 'massive set pieces' and 'more intricate' stories. The show will deviate from Novak's sequel novel, My Return to the Walter Boys , to keep surprising viewers, so even book fans are in for some twists. The love triangle between Jackie, Cole, and Alex remains at the heart of the drama, with Netflix promoting a 'Team Alex or Team Cole' vibe that promises juicy developments. New characters like Maria and Wylder Holt will add tension, especially for Alex, while B. Hartford and Zach could spark new romantic possibilities for other Walters. 'My Life with the Walter Boys' season 2 trailer is here with more love triangle drama

To say that Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez) was dealing with a lot at the end of the first season of Netflix's YA hit "My Life with the Walter Boys" is an understatement. The finale saw our plucky protagonist dealing with not only a love confession by Alex Walter (Ashby Gentry) but also a smooch from his brother, Cole (Noah LaLonde). No wonder Jackie took off for New York City to clear her head and her heart, as seen in the official trailer for the second season of the coming-of-age drama, which is set to be released on Thursday, August 28 on the streaming service. Netflix dropped a first look at the new episodes that shows Rodriguez's character back on the busy streets of Manhattan for summer, understandably with quite a lot on her mind. 'I spent all summer spiraling about how and why I left,' we hear via voiceover. 'I don't belong anywhere anymore.' However, Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty) — the best friend of Jackie's late mother — assures her that she belongs back in Silver Falls, Colorado, where Katherine, her husband George (Marc Blucas) and their children (including Alex and Cole) live. So off to Colorado Jackie goes, where she will contend with a newly glowed-up Alex as well as his equally appealing bro. Actor Ashby Gentry recently discussed Alex's "story of discovery" in season 2 with People magazine: 'Alex was 15 in season 1 and he's 16 in the second season, and they go through all of those experiences that kids go through for the first time. A lot of season 1 was a novel experience, whereas season 2, at least for Alex, is a story of discovery." 'They're trying to figure out who they are and where they fit in the world and what do they want with each other, with everything that lies beyond high school and the greater scheme of life,' he continued of the characters. 'It's slightly more intense, as I've said, and it's really about them trying new things.' Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. The 25-year-old performer also discussed how Alex will navigate his feelings toward Jackie in the new eps, saying his character "doesn't know how to handle what happened and is figuring out how to handle that. And he tries new things, and some of them work and some of them don't. There are two tragedies in life, either you don't get what you want or you get exactly what you want, and Alex experiences both in season 2." Tom's Guide will keep you posted on all things related to "My Life with the Walter Boys," not only with the second season but the third as well, which has already been greenlit by Netflix ahead of the season 2 premiere later this summer.

Netflix has confirmed that My Life With The Walter Boys Season 2 will premiere on Thursday, 28 August. The announcement was made by stars Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde and Ashby Gentry during an event at the Calgary Stampede in Canada, where the series is filmed. The platform also released three new images from the upcoming season, offering a first look at what fans can expect as the YA series returns. Based on the book by Ali Novak, Season 2 will continue Jackie's story following her departure from Silver Falls. Yeeee-haw! My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 premieres AUGUST 28. — Netflix (@netflix) July 5, 2025 The season picks up after Jackie, played by Rodriguez, spends the summer in New York City following a complex moment where Alex (Ashby Gentry) confesses his love to her and Cole (Noah LaLonde) kisses her. With encouragement from Katherine (Sarah Rafferty), Jackie returns to Colorado, seeking to repair her friendship with Alex while taking space from Cole. However, Alex has changed over the summer and is focused on rodeo training, while Cole navigates a new role at school, realising it does not replace his love for football as old habits begin to resurface. The series, produced by Sony Pictures Television and International Production and iGeneration Studios, has already been renewed for a third season.
